[You'll find yourself on a large stone platform backed by the wall of a short mountain. The border of the stone is lined with softly glowing blue runes. And beyond that, wilderness. A dry desert with scrubby plants melding into a wooded forest melting into a lush marsh. Giant daemons wielding equally giant swords and fully armored soldiers with guns wander in the space between the platform and the vegetation, which should give pause to anyone hoping to leave the haven.

On the flattened stone itself is a campsite. In the dead center is a roaring campfire, nevermind that it appears to be a bright and clear day. Four fold-out chairs are arrayed around it. Off to one side a single tent has been erected, and on the other, a cook station.

Looking around the camp, you'll find items scattered around. A dented can of beans is heating on the stove. On one chair is a camera and a black leather bracelet and a revolver.

On the three remaining chairs you'll find: a can of Ebony, a novel, and a cell phone.]

[Tim will take in the amazing view from the stone platform. It truly is spectacular. Something pokes at his brain telling him something is off, that being here is wrong but it's gone just as quickly as it appeared and Tim turns back to the campsite.

He spots the camera and thinks to take a picture of the view, so come forward to pick it up]

[You find yourself descending down a set of stone steps into a cavernous open area. You can hear the sound of water running off in the distance and squealing of bats dying off as they find their way out for the evening.

There's a lot to take in from where you're standing but any lights further into the cave are dimmed so you only get a vague impression of more. That does look like a giant dinosaur (which you hoped didn't just move and that it was just the lighting down here) looming from the left. And is that a giant penny?

Immediately to your right however, Tim sits in a high backed chair too big for him, legs pulled up to his chest. He's missing the cape and cowl of his uniform right now and this is the first time you've seen his face. The bags under his eyes age him but not as much as the cowl does normally and considering he still looks like a teenager in it, he looks awfully young right now. His hair has grown out of whatever style it was once and is just kinda floppy.

He's surrounded by a bank of monitors and a large computer terminal. The spare desk space is covered in piles of manilla folders, some opened to show photos of crime scenes and mug shots, others closed with just a singular name on the front. The monitors have a lot of surveillance camera footage and some seem to be running searches. Tim's attention seems to go between the folder in his hands to the monitors and keyboard.]

“Good, you're here. I need you to read some of these to catch you up on the situation before we go out to patrol. There have been multiple sights of different rogues and B needs all hands on deck for this.”

[He’s all business, he barely looks up but he indicates a particular pile for you to look at.

You can leaf through the pile of folders and pick a name to start with, you know that the further you go through one folder the more you will learn about Tim’s memories with them. Or you can choose to switch to a different folder.

[Honestly he rather hopes the dinosaur moved because it's quite amazing! He's never seen one before!

But he does have other things to see so he continues on until he sees the boy he knows. Without the mask now but still Robin. There's just something about him that rings so familiar with or without the mask. And of course his voice is the same as well. He smiles as he approaches and is about to pick a file when he sees the shirt.

Padding over to it, he lightly runs his fingers along the cloth of it instead. The shirt of someone precious to Robin. He's certain of that.]

[Walking inside you find that you are in a busy Victorian Era hat shop. There are ladies all around who are are faceless but who also seem to be all eager to try the latest fashions here. Everything is the height of fashion in this shop and everyone wants to get their hands on a hat. Of course, they pay no attention to you as you move through the shop, like you're not even there.

There is one person who has a face though. That is Biffy who smiles and gives a bow to you as you move forward.]

Good evening. I am Mister Rabiffano. How may I help you this evening?

[You will notice on various shelves that there are things that are kept in glass display cases. Items which seem to stand out more because the patrons of the stop are not paying attention to them at all.

A bullet rests in one. Shining as if it has never been used before. In another appears to be what looks like a tuft of fur. There's even a touch of dark, dark blood on it. In the last rests a flawless looking top hat. Certainly a stand out in a shop filled with women's hats.

So, how can the owner help you tonight?]

[Oh, he knows that place. He knows it very well. It holds so many memories, not the least memories that are cherished by the both of them.

Lyall is not quite sure what is going on here, how he came to be here, what is happening, but when he sees Biffy smiling and standing in the middle of his shop, he is hopelessly drawn towards him.

The few objects that are out of place do catch his attention, and he points at them.]

Shin-Ah

[One moment the world fades away and the next you're in a tent filled with blankets and some other supplies. It's certainly far from modern. Clearly this is someone who comes from a more ancient time. Something easily explained when one looks to see that Shin-Ah is sitting in the corner.

In front of him are three items. All in various states of disrepair.

The first is a pair of little golden bells tied with a red string. There is a cut in the string like they should have been looped onto something once upon a time. The second is a sort of ball with what looks like fireflies inside. Or are those actually...stars? It's hard to tell from further away. The last item is an old mask. It's similar to the one that he's wearing but it's clear that it differs from his own. Like it belongs to someone else.

Suddenly you notice Shin-Ah is looking at you. Watching. He tilts his head, curious to know why you're there.]

[It's certainly rustic, although for someone as old as Lyall, not completely unfamiliar. And the mask and look of the young man do ring a bell. The voracious youngster at the party.]

My apologies for the intrusion. I seem to have gotten... well, not lost, but this is not where I thought I was going.

Randolph Lyall

[The room you enter looks like some sort of office, albeit a rather old-fashioned one. The walls are lambrissed, the tall windows have curtains opening out to a very dark night sky, the lighting is gas-powered and the heating comes from a stove in one corner.

The left-hand half of the room is rather orderly, with a desk and chairs, a couch to the side, and several filing cabinets, all closed and labeled. On the desks are piles of paper, also labelled and obviously sorted out to be filed later. Behind this desk, Lyall is seated, deep in thought as he writes something, a report, apparently.

The right-hand half of the room is messier, with another, larger desk behind which is pinned a map of London on the wall, with various color pins on it. The papers on that desk are strew about, with a lot of crumpled paper on on the floor, and the cabinets have half opened drawers with objects and papers overflowing from them. Depending on when you enter, the desk might be unoccupied, or there might be another, larger man with darker coloring seated behind it, his feet propped up on the desk. He does not appear to notice you.

If you choose to come and speak to Lyall, you might notice that he looks a little younger, although only by a few years at the most.

There are several things that look a little out of place for an office that might attract your attention.

On a dresser, some silver manacles are resting on top of a newspaper. (CW: metamorphosis)

Nearby, a small, black journal bearing the dates 1848-1850. Opening it, only a few entries are legible. (CW: this memory will be very dark and contain violence, torture and mentions of sexual assault. If you wish to see it but would rather not see some of the grimmer parts, please PM me and let me know so I can adjust accordingly).

There is a top hat on a hat stand. It’s rather stylish, and doesn’t match any of the clothing the people in this room are wearing.

On a nearby filing cabinet, there is a sheep fetus in a jar of formaldehyde.

Felix spends a few long moments glancing around him, taking everything in. It's a nice room. Felix likes...working environments.

But soon enough - without touching anything, even though his eyes stray around to everything because he's kind of aware of what touching things might come to and he knows he's going to NEED to but that doesn't mean he needs to rush into it - he walks up to Lyall's desk.]

[It's cold. Bitterly so, and unsurprising; you find yourself in a forest, trees bare of leaves, the wind strong enough to rattle the branches, snow falling thick and heavy. It's short of blizzard conditions, but it's the very opposite of a hospitable landscape.

Every now and then, there's the distant sound of thunder.

At first glance, the forest seems endless and unchanging. Slowly, distinguishing paths make themselves known:

- A set of bloody footprints, made by sandals, trailing off into the darkness;
- A set of normal footprints, bare feet, paralleling the first for a time before diverting elsewhere;
- No path at all, but the looming shadow of something vaguely familiar to you just seen over the tops of the trees to the east...

...or you could just follow the music off in its own direction. Or be contrary and go somewhere else of your choosing.]

[It isn’t so much a room you find yourself in as a chamber. There’s too much of a grand styling in the oval-shaped space to call it anything else. The rounded walls are high and cream-coloured, the bevelled edges a much brighter gold. Two red stone columns rise before you to support what should be the ceiling. Instead of a solid roof however the space above the columns is dark clouds, flickering with lightning. It would be a grim scene anywhere else, but here it doesn’t feel foreboding; here it feels natural. The air is heavy with the scent of rain and ozone.

On the walls directly ahead, to the left and to the right are three large portraits, each with some scattered objects nearby. Behind you the marbled floor drops in half a dozen wide steps descending to a lower level… unlike the rest of the room, however, the area at the base of the stairs is sunk in darkness. Some vague shapes can be seen within but not nearly as much as should be visible, given how bright the rest of the chamber is. A faint gleam somewhere in the shadows is the only point that stands out. Extending out of the darkness and part way up the stairs is a fallen column, broken at the top.

Directly in front of you and in the centre of the room is a throne. Not a conventional one - it looks more like a spaceship chair, wrought from greenish metal and utilitarian in design. A long, golden spear lies across the two armrests. An unlit lantern sits on the left armrest, and the broken handle of some kind of weapon sits on the right.

And behind the throne with his arms resting on the back of it stands Thor himself. He looks mostly the same as he does in the Fleet, wearing the simpler armour that he most often has used here, though his short hair is less ragged than it has been lately. Both of his eyes are blue. He smiles easily and tips his head in acknowledgement of you.]

So, here you are.

[ he knows what this is, of course. he knows this place, this room. these objects. and yet the mystery itches, under his skin. loki glances at the darkness near the base of the stairs, before cocking an eyebrow at thor. ]

Vash the Stampede | Trigun

When you enter Vash's room the man himself is no where to be seen. At first it may seem like there is nothing but endless desert, but squint and off in the distance there's a glint of light reflecting off a shiny surface. You will feel a pull towards that glint. Something you can't quite put words too, but a feeling of familiarity calls you towards it's direction. Continue forward and eventually soft colorful feathers begin to rain down from the sky. They drift down slow enough that they could be avoided or collected, but should you touch any of them a memory will trigger.

Once you reach that item out in the distance it is revealed to be a giant light bulb. If you have not viewed any memories all that will be inside in a round ball that somewhat looks like it could be made from organic tissue. Between one and two memories viewed and there will be vaguely humanoid shape of a naked woman starting to emerge from the sphere. Between you and the glass her skin looks as if tinted light blue. Her hair appears to look a bit like the feathers that still fall and are also tinted slightly blue. There's also the hint that she has extra limbs and body parts still waiting to emerge from that ball. Having viewed three or more feathers and the creature inside will be fully awake. Her eyes black open and empty, but a friendly smile on her face. She's strangely beautiful even with the strange extra body parts that seem to grow out from her. You feel no fear looking at her.

She reaches out her hands and presses them onto the glass. Waiting. That strange sense is stronger now that you are in front of her. She radiates the feeling of kinship and eventually you'll get the additional feeling of what she's waiting for. Ask her your question and she will try to answer it. The feathers still continue to fall all around.

OOC: The Plant will tell you where the exit is if asked or where Vash is hiding. It will also answer any specific questions your character might have about Vash. Although the answers will be portrayed through feeling and could come out murky.

See the below list for the type of memory you'll see for each feather color! When it says random it is because I have a few key memories written and they'll be passed out though an RNG I have set up! A couple RNG have potentially triggering content in it, but if you let me know they can be easily removed!

You can pick multiple of the same color feather. You'll either get a different memory from the theme. Or at least a continuation of the the core memory.

The room you see in front of you isn't really a room. It's a little clearing in a forest with a fire in a stone-encircled firepit in the middle. There's a single bedroll with a backpack next to it near the fire and several cleared stumps nearby that have obviously served as tables and chairs and gambling platforms for the numerous other travelers who have used this little pitstop before. Right now there's only one person at the fire: an elf who is sitting with his back to you. He wears a big wizard's hat that obscures his face from this angle, but in the fire is a small pot of stew simmering away. The elf turns and looks over his shoulder at whoever has just appeared, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, don't just stand there looking creepy. Come and eat so I know you're not about to stab me in the back."

He ladles out a portion of the stew into a wooden bowl and holds it out.

Take the stew or don't take the stew. It's up to you.

Tyrion Lannister | A Song Of Ice and Fire

When you enter Tyrion's dream - you'll note a difference here if you have visited before. A drastic one. The scene is no longer of a large library, in which features an Iron Throne. Nor is it scenes from Tyrion's life back in Westeros, one horror after another.

No, this year his dream is settled in a well appointed looking study. Yes, there are still books everywhere, and if you pick one up you may find yourself traversing a memory. However there is a roaring fire and a bottle of wine, label unseen, with a waiting game of cyvasse.

There is a rich, thick carpet with children's toys - wonderful things with complicated gears that when you wind them up, they roll across the stone floor. There is a desk, with a number of different tools, and devices aplenty, and on the back of the chair, there is a richly appointed looking coat. Something with beadwork aplenty.

This doesn't look like a place out of a lost boy's fantasy. This looks like something of a concrete dream that Tyrion might - Just Might - be looking to build in his future.

What a nice place. Mirage's never been in a study quite like this one before and so she pauses to appreciate it for a few moments before she examines the room itself.

The children's toys in particular catch her eye. She wasn't an engineering wizard by any stretch of the imagination but she knew what made the variable fighters in her own world tick. She's always had an appreciation for the gears, buttons and knobs that came with the VFs.

Being alone - or perceiving herself to be at least - the woman kneels down before picking up one of those wonderful things with it's myriad of complicated gears. The smile on her face is soft and wistful, her shoulders relaxed.

[ Zaveid's room is less of a room and more of an open space, wide and beautiful, covered in yellow flowers. It's a landscape that seems to stretch out for miles and miles and miles, rocks and hilly parts decorating everywhere the eye can see. In front of you is a simple grave, barely decorated with just a few flowers growing in front of it; there's a black coat draped over the shape of the gravestone, fluttering in the wind, catching the breeze under the thick leather.

To the left is a wall, climbable, and if you go up and up to reach the top there's nothing but the expanse of a field decorated with dotted flowers, daisies the most obvious. Behind him is what seems to be a miniature fireplace with a small cooking pot resting over the top. Going over and interacting with it at all will playback memories of what seems like a small family - a woman, with long hair and something about her that seems effortless like the wind; three children, running around with her, and a familiar figure with silver hair tied up out of his way. Memories come in short, sharp bursts: playing, the man bringing home a surprised pair of chefs to cook for the children, taking care of them, tucking them in, telling them stories - and then, finally, leaving them with two humans, a promise to come back, money pressed into hands, sadness in his eyes before he turns and walks away with a wave over his shoulder.

To one side there's what appears to be a cave with a makeshift room inside of it. Lining the walls are shelves with a series of items; a beaded bracelet and necklace coloured with different greens, the colour of the wind; what seems to be a circlet of some kind that glimmers silver-blue in the light; to one side there's a glove and a gun. Sitting innocently. Hanging up in the corner is a purple jacket; anyone who's seen Zaveid at all will recognise the hat perched on top.

Outside, in the background, there's another echo, another memory, of what is definitely Zaveid with someone smaller, someone who seems to growl and shout at him even as he laughs, small with silver hair and a serious attitude.

If anyone dares approach the grave the sky above gets darker and darker. The flowers in front of the carefully placed stones seem to rot. Everything goes grey and dim and the sun seems to completely disappear - the ground seems to almost glow purple. If they reach out and touch the grave then the scene shifts and changes completely. There is nothing but purple and the feeling of not being able to move, not being able to get far enough away, of panic and fear and uncertainty.

There's a scream, and it takes a moment to realise it's coming from your mouth, and the image of the dragon flicks and shifts - sometimes it's a brown colour, sometimes more beautiful, sometimes blue. No matter what colour it appears, there's no escaping it, no running away, and eventually all that remains is the feeling of collapsing and passing out, only to wake up back in the center again.

No matter which way a visitor goes, once they're done with whatever part they see there feels like there's a way to escape. It feels almost like disappearing, becoming more like a spirit than anything else, and giving into the feeling is what frees them - and that is how they leave Zaveid's room, like it or not. ]

[As if in defiance, Sorey approaches the grave. Even when the weight begins to press down on him, begins to sink his shoes into the earth, Sorey still approaches. He drops to his knees in front of the grave-

And bows.

Forehead to the backs of his hands, Sorey murmurs into the dust beneath him,]

I promise I'll find a way to bring him back, Zavied. As many of them as I can.

Victor Frankenstein | OUAT

[You ever watch anything in black-and-white? Good, because that's the entire place. And it's also raining, sometimes with thunder. You're outside in a nondescript place. There are several options for you to proceed.

There is a horse-drawn carriage you could get into to avoid the rain. If you want to tough it out, you'll find yourself at a pier. You could go inside the diner or a cozy house. And also, randomly, a garage.

Victor has a lot of thoughts and stuff going on in his head]

[Tim's never been in a horse-drawn carriage before and while it intrigues him, he backs away to something more familiar and ends up in the garage. It's decidedly more familiar.]

Remy LeBeau | X-Men: Evolution

[The first sensation upon entering the room is a sudden change in both temperature and humidity, almost like walking into a wall of it. Neither of them are extreme, but possibly just slightly above comfortable for those who were not use to it, clinging to the skin and just on that edge of being irritating. Next follows the sounds of partying and happy voices, muffled though, as if heard from the next room, the sound of jazz whispering through the air.

Passing by the kitchen leads to the main room, a door at the end of it leading out onto a balcony. All other windows in the room show something quite different, a heavy fog that makes it impossible to see out of as occasionally there will be ghostly figures striking against the glass silently, before fading once again. Below the balcony there is a crowd of people, their features impossible to make out and creating a general ‘crowd’ sound, no one voice distinctive enough to pick up. But they all sound happy, moving and dancing on the street below as music plays around them.

The room and balcony are both decorated for the event, beads and masks for anyone to take or inspect, and even drinks set out on the kitchen bench or the tables outside. Any of these will invoke a feel of celebration, of good memories and better times, able to allow any stress that may be lingering to melt away and be forgotten for the time.

As part of the other decorations in the room, there are several other items that will stand out more than the rest, scattered in suitable places within the main room or kitchen:
A particular picture hanging on the wall among others;
A bracelet and emblem that sit next to each other, possibly recognizable by certain visitors, including having seen Remy wearing the bracelet the last week or two;
There are several decks of cards multiple places, all in easy to pick up locations no matter where the person may be sitting or standing in the room, ready to be picked up and played with;
Off to the side sit another emblem, almost half hidden away amongst the rest of the decorations and not nearly as gleaming or shiny as the other, but still important enough to be shifted back into partial view by some unseen force if it drops to the ground or gets lost behind other items;
And a lovely bottle sitting on the kitchen bench, a couple of glasses also set out beside it in case anyone wants that instead. No matter how much is poured, the bottle never seems to run empty.

Visitors are welcome to help themselves to drinks and sit back and relax, even if Remy isn’t always visible in the room. Sometime he will be there in person, a mask half over his face; other times it will just be the mask itself, either ‘walking around’ as if worn by an invisible force, or just sitting somewhere in the room until he feels like interacting.]

[Pavel doesn't know what to make of the beads and the masks and the partying crowd, but he immediately recognizes the Starfleet insignia (and the bottle of alcohol, the insignia just seems out of place enough to warrant investigation first). He hesitates before touching it, reluctant to mess with anything without permission.]

I realize that I am meant to investigate, but it seems rude to do so without speaking to you first.

Peter Parker | Spectacular Spider-Man

[The room you find yourself in is...well, cozy. And pretty well-kept and organized, especially for your average teenager. There's minimal clutter, the bed is neatly made, and while it might not be squeaky clean you'd still be hard pressed to find much dust. And while there might not be anything out there to explicitly give away the age of the room's owner, the abundance of textbooks and school supplies around the room provides a pretty good hint. Of course, should that not do the trick, at some point early into your visit you'll hear a woman shouting from downstairs, still coming in just loud enough to hear through the closed door.]

Peter? Hurry up, you'll be late for school!

[There doesn't appear to be any way to leave through the door however- any attempt to do so just leads to the discovery that the door refuses to budge. Instead, you're left to investigate your surroundings a bit more thoroughly. Three areas in particular seem to hold something of interest...or at least, something that doesn't really fit in with what you'd normally expect to find.

The first is a collection of photographs strewn over and on the desk in the room. All of them depicting rather...eccentric looking individuals.

The second is, oddly enough, the trash bin next to the desk. Or, to be more specific, maybe not the bin itself, but the half-crumpled and discarded photographs sitting atop much more mundane paper waste. Evidently, whoever took these pictures wasn't quite as pleased about how they turned out compared to the others.

As for the third...well, it's not so much something you'd see as it is something you'd hear. The door to the closet at the side of the room is slightly ajar, and what's coming out of it is...something. An unsettling mashup of noise that sounds like a cross between cicadas, some sort of large and very aggressive reptile, and plenty of other creepy, crawly unpleasantness. It's just loud enough to be faintly heard from where you're standing, but as you move closer, it grows louder and louder...just as the inside of the closet seems to get darker, until there's nothing but an incredibly noisy, black void. It's probably not a great idea to get too close...

Should anyone linger for more than a few minutes, and choose to investigate nothing, the room itself will begin to change. The color bleeds out of it until vanishing completely, before spider webs begin to fill the room and isolate the intruder. Almost like someone's deliberately safeguarding everything they'd just seen. Whether that's good or bad probably depends on just who's standing there when that someone shows up.]

[ooc note: Option 4 is the confrontational choice. After symbiote shenanigans, he knows when someone or something is hanging around in his head that shouldn't be there. He will lock everything down and show up spoiling for a fight in an effort to remove them as soon as possible, because he's going to assume ill intent.]

[The room you find yourself is, in a word, messy. It's rather dimly lit, mostly only by a string of fairy lights hung up over the bed and several open monitors sitting in random corners of the room. It's hard to walk around without kicking over one thing or another, and for those of you familiar with what's going on, it's hard to say what items might trigger a reaction. At least most of what's around appears to be junk; important-looking boxes that are overflowing with cords, wires, and circuitboards, dirty socks, assortments of tools, empty water packs, and so on.

Some of the more notable things scattered around on the floor are things that at first glance appear to be stacks of junk. A second look will tell you that they're actually sculptures, loosely resembling the rest of Team Voltron.

The walls around the bed are covered in photos and drawings, while the mattress itself is littered with even more seemingly random items; a small, hand-held device with a blinking light, a circlet made of wood, a half-built model of a little robot, and a toy resembling the Green Lion being the most prominent among the empty potato chip bags.

While you do your exploring there are a number of floating creatures watching you, the marks on their cheeks glowing faintly. They aren't doing anything yet; just circling slowly around the room with eyes trained on you.]

[Keith looked at the trash sculptures in amusement. He vaguely remembered them... in that he saw Pidge loading some weird trashy looking things into the Green Lion when the evacuated the Castle of Lions. He hadn't exactly had time to look closely back then for obvious reasons. After that, he hadn't been over to the Green Lion, so he hadn't seen them again until just now.]

Did you make us?

[Yup... amused. He reached out to touch the one that looked like him.]

Wanda Maximoff | MCU

[You find yourself in a tower room.

It looks fairly comfortable, all things considered. The couches and cushions are plush and welcoming and at first glance one might not associate the room with its owner. It almost looks like something out of a storybook until you turn around. A series of two heavy cage-like doors prevent exit and an observation window looks out into the room. It's dark...for now. Still, you can't shake the feeling that someone is lurking out there. The room may be comfortable...but it was clearly designed to keep something in. And there's a strange, constant sound that you might not yet be able to identify. Maybe ocean waves?

Giving the room a closer glance, there are hints to the occupant's identity, like the guitar resting safely by bookcase. A strange glowing scepter sits in an elaborate containment unit on a table. Beside it rests a distorted cube and the wiry remains of a mangled device.

Stairs lead to a balcony, but this is no escape. Here, that ongoing sound that you might have mistaken for waves while inside resolves into what it really is: hundreds of indistinct whispers and voices. The night sky is a surreal red nebula, too red to seem natural, and the ground...

...there is no ground. It's just a sea of glowing scarlet mist identical to her powers. There doesn't seem to be any end to it and it's constantly in motion, almost like it's alive. There's no escaping this place; whatever has been locked away here is staying put. And yet there are signs of life: a romantic nook for two on the wide balcony, comfortable-looking seating for several people back in the room. Aside from the door's reminder that this is a prison, it isn't an unwelcoming place.

And you aren't alone here. Wanda herself is sleeping soundly in the luxurious princess's bed. There's a photo on the nightstand: two adults and two children, a dark-haired girl and boy. It's worn, like it's been handled quite a bit, and those who know her well may have seen her with it before.

What do you do?

[The fantastical setting of the room throws him off for a moment, but it's immediately replaced by such a strong sense of familiarity that the Vision laughs aloud and subconsciously changes his attire to match the theme: a light set of enameled armor to look the part of a knight and a circlet around the Mind Stone to look like a prince.

He's seen enough Disney movies to know how this should go.

Quietly now, he walks over to the bed and kneels down beside it. Wanda looks so beautiful when she sleeps that he could never tire of watching her. He knows what the next step is, but first he places a hand over hers, clasped together around a single rose. What does the rose represent, he wonders?]

The Vision | MCU

For those few left who might have visited it in the past, the Vision's Calibrations room is immediately recognizable: a tall, vaulted chamber in a crystalline teardrop shape, colored a warm yellow and pulsing faintly with light. The structure itself is beautiful, but radiates power in a way that many may find uncomfortable, and the pervasive feeling that this energy has the strength to lay any mind bare is hard to shake. As before, images seem to dance on each facet-like panel of the gem, though too indistinct to see unless one is up close - but that's where the similarities end. There's no single pedestal in the center, no wisps of differently-colored energy floating near the top. Instead, approaching one of the seemingly-solid panels anywhere at the edges of the small room reveals them not to be solid at all, but dense holograms of layered light with a multitude of colors and images, a repository of memories and emotions all interconnected with filaments almost too fine to see.

A few images may stand out to a visitor: an animated image of a laughing, auburn-haired woman (oddly, this panel appears red rather than yellow), an armored figure falling suddenly out of the sky, the painted profile of a woman with long pink hair wielding a sword, a garden that looks both like and unlike that of the Twin Roses, a yellow sphere that's nearly invisible against the color of the walls, and a finat blue tinge that dances around the room as if it doesn't want to be caught.

The owner of the room does not appear to be present.

[She knows where she is. How could she not? This feels as normal to her as coming home and she feels no sense of anxiety at finding herself here. The only thing that gets a wary glance from her is the wandering blue tinge - it's too like the Scepter, too reminiscent of the way the Mind Stone's hurt her. Even here, her right palm still bears the scars.

And it's only because Vision guards the Stone that she doesn't fear it, that she can give the blue tinge one last look before continuing into the center of the room. There Wanda kneels, spreading her fingers out over the floor, and projects a wave of warm, loving emotions.

It would be rude to start poking around without saying hello.]

[The room you find yourself in is rather simple. A console in a large open room clearly in space. Space however is discolored and if one should approach the large windows, they will see it is because of some sort of contraption attached to the base itself, but what exactly its doing may not be immediately clear.

Welcome to the Blade of Marmora Communications Base Thaldycon.

It's not that exciting in the control room, mainly just that console that if you really wanted to push buttons, you can... but all you get are characters in a possibly unknown language appearing on the screen and it doesn't do anything. It's the objects on the console that are more interesting. There's a dagger with glowing symbol on the handle; a device that looks like some super high-tech version of a USB drive; and two different communication pads, first a black communication pad with an ominous purple glowing screen if purple could be ominous and the second orange in color]

TW: implied torture (avoid the USB-like device), some violence (in all of them, nothing aside from fighting)

[Gil is a tech minded person, so he has a hard time keeping away from the device and the communication pads. He picks up the device and takes a look at it, figuring out how it works, and then goes to the communication pads with it still in his hands.

He starts with the orange one, seeing if he can turn it on or activate it somehow.]

General Armitage Hux | Star Wars

The room is fairly simple. There's a desk with a data pad on it. Next to it are a pair of black leather gloves and a black hat with a hexagon like symbol on it. The opposite side of the data pad has a glass tumbler partially filled with liquor.

The chair is pulled out and on the back is hanging a dark grey wool coat that also bares the same symbol as the hat on the arm of a sleeve. There's also a decorative arm band sewn around the sleeve near the cuff possibly resembling a rank of sorts.

TW: each of the objects will provide different memories. Most of them aren't pleasant, but the worst one to touch would be the glass. This will imply abuse and torture.

[At first, Keith had no idea where he was, but then he recognized the hat. He walked in that direction, glancing at the other objects there. The data pad drew his attention, and he went to pick it up and read what was written there.]

[In the waking world, this room would be considered odd.

It is shifting and inconsistent. The walls change from a warm beige to a sterile white, and occasionally fade away entirely. There are no windows and no visible ceiling. A low, mechanical hum reverberates throughout and, even though all is still, there is a pervasive sense of busy-ness. 

Its most prominent feature is a sleek console that faces a massive, empty viewscreen. The lefthand side of the console appears to be powered off. On the right, numbers and blocky letters scroll across a small screen; the larger display shows a starmap rendered on a three-dimensional coordinate system.

To the right of the console is a large bookshelf. The contents of the shelf are an odd mix of traditional paper books and thin, transparent rectangles with spines that glow a faint blue.

To the left is a narrow, neatly-made bed with white sheets and a white, blue, and red blanket spread across the foot. A PADD, a communicator, and an insignia badge sit on the pillow in a tidy group.

And, of course, Pavel Chekov is there. The Russian is dressed in civilian attire and standing in front of a glowing, gently-curved bank of screens. He looks up from the tablet-like device in his hands, apparently surprised to find that company has arrived.]

[The tent is more of a room on the edge of a desert with planked floors and poles holding up the fabric keeping out the sand and the heat. There is an air of stillness and tension all around. The sun is beating down incredible heat from a noon-high position, but there is little to see outside other than some sparse trees and grass. Nearby is the quiet rush of a river. In one corner of the room, there is a traveling trunk and two cots. In another, a table with several items on it flanked by two chairs. Mantis is sitting at the pulled-up flap meant to serve as the entrance of the tent. He is dressed in a black straight jacket, a pair of grey leggings, and his mask is firmly in place. He is staring out into the sunny start of the afternoon.]

[Hanging from one of the poles of the tent is a cameo jacket with the sleeves ripped off. The words “NEVER BE GAME OVER” are sloppily written on it over the image of a pig’s head with an eyepatch. A small red scarf is tucked under the strap of the left shoulder. To approach it is to feel a sense of great happiness. This is the thought of a good friend, someone you can trust.]

[On the floor of the tent next to Mantis is a necklace made of jackal teeth and a pair of dog tags on a chain. Coming near Mantis, you can hear him humming a tune to himself, but you will also feel a great wave of misery come over you. They’re gone, they’re completely gone now, but why are they gone?]

[One item on the table is a blue bandana pinned in place with a knife. To touch the knife or the bandana will cause an immediate surge of rage come over you. It ends as quickly as it starts, but it will linger a bit in the back of the mind. If you had only had the chance, they would have been a memory but now the memory is you…]

[Likewise, on the table are two bipedal tanks. They make you excited, so thrilled to bits; you found them! Found someone at last who understands without shouting you down. You remember feeling so strong, so tall, so capable of destroying anything, and you will just as soon as this thorn in your friend’s side is destroyed.]

[Last is a necklace with a wooden lion charm. It smells of fire or maybe it is the memory that smells of it. You remember the boy, his face and his name flash through your mind, but you can never really hold on to either as they pass through. All you know is that for once in your life you found someone who is as miserable as you are.]

[Just outside of the tent is the head of a boar speared onto a wooden spike. Flies buzz around it and its tongue hangs out at an odd angle. You can’t smell it when you come close, but you can smell smoke and something burning. You feel a darkness coming over you as you exit the room.]

[Vash meant to address Mantis when he first entered the room, but finds himself distracted. Pulled towards the feeling of happiness he reaches out and touches the cameo jacket.]

It could be comforting. It could be the soft light of morning, the calming blankness of clouds, of freshly laundered sheets. It could even feel a little like purity, or a lot like that, like holiness and piousness, a clear mind and a clean heart. It could feel like protection, like a veil that holds back the shadows.

It could also be oppressive. It could be not the white of emptiness, but of a smothering cover, heavy and weighted. The thick mist obscuring a true form, massive but silent; there is occasionally a flash of silver in the light, a claw, a scale. Something is watching you, something old and great, but something very, very far away.

To others, the light maybe just is. Nothing remarkable; a bit boring, honestly.

Perhaps it's all of these things, or some of these things, or none of things; in fact, the malleability of the room is a little confusing. There's almost nothing here to mark the room as belonging to any particular person. No sounds, no smells; no furniture, no shadows, nothing much at all, just...a vessel.

Except for a small collection of items, floating a few feet off the ground in the distance.

[So much about this place is familiar. It's the first thing that Mikleo recognizes about it as he gains awareness bit by bit. Even without anything to see it envelops him like a cozy blanket, soft and comforting. He opens his eyes, sees nothing. Closes them again. Stretches a hand out into the empty air, feels nothing. Drops it.

He crouches first, then kneels, and then, after a pause, just... lays down on the pure white floor, limbs spread, eyes at rest. It feels like he's floating, surrounded by the very definition of ethereal, of safety, of protection. This is a vessel, a domain.

He knows this place, and at the same time, he does not. There's something alien here, not bad, but not something he knows. Not yet.

( The room itself is small but airy and with good light. There's a large window taking up one side and weak winter sunlight comes through; a fireplace features on the opposite wall. Between the two is a low couch where sewing things have been left in disarray.

In the far corner, dusty with disuse, is a tall harp and draped over one chair is a cloak made of black leather and white wolf's fur. Leaning against the chair is a broadsword, a wolf's head carved into the pommel. Everything smells faintly of lemons and lavender. )

(TW: The sword has memories of extreme violence and sexual assault attached to it. Otherwise, the memories are pleasant.)

[He doesn't like this.

It feels wrong to be walking through rooms like this, but nevertheless Bucky finds himself here as if his own feelings on the matter don't actually matter. They probably don't, and he feels like a trespasser, but it doesn't stop him from moving further into the space. There's a sense of familiarity about it in that he feels like he should know why he's here, but he's stubborn about pushing it away. To say he doesn't appreciate these mind games is an understatement.

Eventually Bucky crosses the room to that sword. It doesn't seem to match the rest of the setting, and that sets off warning bells in his head.]

Steve Rogers | MCU

Theaters haven't really changed since the thirties. They have the same red, velvet seats. The same draped curtain and art-deco sconces on the wall. Really, the difference between a theater then and a theater now has more to do with cupholders and reclining leg-rests than it does with anything substantial. Which is why it's possible, upon entering this room, one might not be aware of where they are. Or when they are, as it is. Not that it really matters.

Not like it's really real.

The room isn't large; this is a theater used for small, unpopular movies at the end of their contracted run. All the seats are empty save one in the dead center. The man there is staring up at the flickering, yellowed light that covers the area of the screen as though he sees something interesting there. He doesn't turn as anyone enters the room.

It's Steve, of course. But like the rest of the room, he's as he was in the thirties. Young and small and coughing, now and again, as the dust irritates his asthma. He's not smiling but he does look at peace. Far more than anyone who had known him might remember ever seeing him.

The projector is standing in the back of the room, clicking as it plays nothing for the lonely viewer in the audience. Underneath it is a table with two film reels: one looks like it's rolled around in dirt, half rusted over in places while the other is clean with a red label, lovingly held in a clear box. They're the only things there, but it's not the only things in the room. If someone walked toward the screen, they would see a broken television shoved off into a corner. On top lays a videotape splashed in blood and another film reel, half hidden behind the old tv set. It's freezing to the touch, hurting whoever picks it up.

Closer to Steve is a black box, resting on the seat beside him. It's heavy and metal with a lock sealing it shut. Steve rests a hand on it if anyone gets close, stopping them from going any further.

But otherwise, he just sits and waits and watches the sepia-colored nothing on the screen.

Natasha walks down the aisle, nearly silent as she studies the scene. Her eyes dart from Steve, to the projector, to the blank screen. Her first instinct is to approach Steve himself, even if it's not the version she's known personally. She knows things in here will be a lot more complicated than that.

She has a theory or two why he might appear this way, even if it's beside the point.

"Hey. This seat taken...?"

Veronica | Voltron

[Veronica’s “room”, like her brother’s, is a long stretch of pristine beach. This one is scattered with shells of varying shapes and colors, each shifting with the gentle waves. It’s beautiful, clearly Earth, and is mostly empty, but for a small mound some distance away.

Should you approach, the mound comes into clearer view. Someone has piled up sand and shells into a gentle hill, clearly choosing the prettiest and most intact of the shells. Set at the top of the mound is a framed picture of Lance, his official photo as a cadet at the Garrison. Carefully placed around the mound are a series of lit candles that flicker gently with the breeze. There are a few more objects scattered around it in the sand, the most prevalent being a sprig of forget-me-nots and a woman’s sapphire pendant.]

[He recognizes the beach right away. The same beach they loved to sneak onto-- And, well, they did come onto it legit sometimes during big family gatherings. Otherwise? The McClain kids would sneak their butts right into the middle of the tourist groups and enjoy themselves. He has a gazillion and one good memories of his childhood on this very beach, and for a while, he simply...stands there.

When he finally shakes himself out of it, he notices mounds of sand and shells. The first thing he notices is the picture, and he reaches down, his fingertips brushing against it.]
