'cause it's better than nothing
( for N-Z characters )
Before you post your toplevel comment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. N-Z names comment here, and A-M names go to the other post.
2. Make a note in your comment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.

"That's something, I suppose. I don't trust that nor do I trust the thought of someone mucking about with my memories, personally. It's very suspicious." He peers out the window for a moment, then back to Taako and whatever he's working on.
"What are you making?"
no subject
As for mucking with his memories? There's something about that which should bother him, but he's literally in a room right now designed to display memories at the drop of a hat, so he can't really get mad, can he? Well, he could, but what's the point?
Taako shrugs and sprinkles a little something into the pot. "No idea - maybe it's an old recipe or a new one. Can't tell."
If Belthazar looks into the pot, he'll see why Taako can't tell him. The smell of something wonderful is coming out of it, but there's nothing in the pot. Whatever he sprinkled in there, the herbs he dropped in earlier, all of it is gone as if it never existed.
no subject
He isn't sure what to expect Taako to be making but his pot is completely empty. That's... weird. Just to make sure he isn't seeing things, he reaches over to simply dip his finger into the pot.

Resistance?
It feels as if there is something in there, a viscous something that can't be seen. It doesn't cling to Belth's finger nor does it burn him, but it's very obvious that he's touching something in there. It could be wet or dry or neither, but the sensation isn't clear. When Taako turns around, he sees Belth reaching into the pot and whacks him lightly on the arm.
"Hey - no touchy. I don't need it elf-flavored."
no subject
"That-- what is in there? I didn't see anything, but I felt... something... By the Light, I hope you at least skinned it first."
no subject
He honestly couldn't tell him if he tried. All Taako knows is that he's making something and he's meant to stay here and cook until it's done.
"For having elf ears, you got shit hearing."
no subject
Granted they're in crazy dream land or something, so maybe it's not as weird as the other shit he's seen, but still.
"I heard you, I just chose to ignore it."
no subject
"That's the part you find weird. Really."
no subject
"Listen," he says, and holds up a finger. "It's the fact you just accepted it. You of all people ought to be a lucid dreamer. Don't you want to keep me from poking things? Or asking questions you don't want to answer?"
no subject
It's a weird admission, but it's one that Taako's more than used to tossing out. It throws people off, stops them from asking weird questions, makes them feel bad about it usually, and then he can go about his usual business, smirking at his escape. He turns back to the mixture in front of him and continues working away at it, taste testing it and nodding in approval despite there being nothing on the spoon.
"And poking at things is what this place is for. I don't really have a choice in it - and neither do you, if you want to leave."
