'cause it's better than nothing
( for N-Z characters )
Before you post your toplevel comment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. N-Z names comment here, and A-M names go to the other post.
2. Make a note in your comment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.

Remy is on the floor, leaning back against a wall, or as much as those wings of his allow. He's scraped and bruised, covered in smears of dirt and something much redder, but dark and dried, more a flaky film than liquid. As bad as he looks there is another worse, that same red head from the earlier memory, her head resting on Remy's thigh as she sleeps, or tries to at least. The back of her uniform is torn up, several ugly long red lines down her back but luckily had avoided her own wings, long burns that Kitty will know at one point had been open wounds. Open wounds he had just cauterized to stop her from bleeding out. It had been ugly and horrible, but it saved her.
They were hungry, and tired, and thirsty, and still knew they had a fight on their hands. Them and the others here, the group that had been brought through to fight the enemy of their captor. And they knew they were on a time crunch, that if they didn't succeed in time they would all be dead. Not that it meant much, they would just be brought back again and have to start all over.
Then again, Remy had no plans to really sleep tonight. He would keep guard while Jean slept, make sure they weren't ambushed, make sure they saw tomorrow. Survive first, recover later.]

Sometimes people got dumped in weird places in Marina too. A few got dropped right into the lake. You know how sometimes prisons have lakes, right? [It was a weird place.] Or the floating island.
no subject
Well, only the best prisons, right? [A grin to go along with that.]

Mmm...I guess if we're at the chatting stage that means it's probably time to leave the memories, huh? [Their calibration is probably done. A door will open for her and all that? She's a little reluctant to go, but it also seems inappropriate to hang out in someone's head when they didn't really invite you in the first place. Party foul.]

[Remy then smiled over at her comment,] I would guess so. Thank ya for the company, Kitty, it was lovely as always [Raising a hand to point back to, well, the door she had came through. It hadn't vanished, for her or any others who had been here, and no one had noticed that.
After all, his room, his head, was never a trap for anyone but himself.]

See you when we wake up, Remy. [She gives him a wave and heads out and into some new adventure probably.]
