Mirage pauses in place, eyes a bit wider now. She hadn't known what to expect when she entered but it was clear these were... thoughts? Something like that. It makes her think of her own mother in some ways. Or maybe her grandfather.

She lays the toy down carefully, not wanting to mess it up in some way, and then she turns her gaze around the room a moment. There are several other things that stand out to her and she wonders out loud, "Do all of these things have the same effect?"

Mirage gains her feet then, standing mutely for a moment. The game draws her attention next and she approaches to pick up one of the pieces.

[tallasaking]

"Not all of them, no."

Tyrion appears within the dream now, one corner of his mouth twisted from where he holds a book in his hand. There is no other door - he simply appears from out of nowhere. He looks around himself, and lets out a faint snort.

"I cannot believe they chose to build this place - this is all part of a dream. My dreams ... and hopes, as odd as that is. Hello, I am Tyrion Lannister." He waves around. "Welcome to my subconscious desires."

And Mirage freezes in place in reaction, thoroughly surprised. She still has the piece in her hand and quietly puts it back down, blinking at him.

"Mirage Jenius." Her brow furrows some, "Your subconscious desires?". She turns her glance back to the toy now. So that had been a dream... or a hope? A fantasy of sorts?

[tallasaking]

"Good day, Mirage. What a lovely and apropos name." Tyrion smiled, going to sit behind the desk. "I take it we are being calibrated once more."

He nodded to the toy. "My hope for a family, one day, with my wife. When we are free of this place."

So that's what this all is! Mirage has a renewed sense of what these rooms must mean now and she flusters a little.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... peek?"

Is that what you'd call this? It wasn't precisely prying but it sure wasn't looking at something totally not personal either.

[tallasaking]

Tyrion waves his hand and shakes his head. "There is no need to apologize - this is not your fault at all. This is the dreaded Lords of Atroma, up to their little games as per usual. No one ever wants to show up in these places - we just do."

He gestures her to one of the seats by the fire. "So who are you?"

Who is she? Mirage is surprised to find she isn't quite sure how to reply. Should she give her military rank and base assignment or...?

She takes the time to sit in one of the gestured to chairs. "I'm Second Lieutenant of the Delta Flight serving aboard the Macross Elysion."

Wait.

"At home that is. I suppose here I'm a pilot aboard the SS Starduck."

[tallasaking]

"..Well I did not understand any of the first part but the second part is familiar. So you are some sort of space pilot. How boring are you finding flying our ships?"

Frankly he had to imagine it was something of a snooze most of the time. They ran where they wanted to run, whether or not the people on them wanted them to go to a particular planet.

She can't help the quick laugh at his question.

"The shuttles? They're rather standard compared to what I'm used to flying. It seems like the Starduck mainly runs on autopilot most of the time."
