[Inside the garage there are beakers, test tubes, and other various things one would find in a chemistry laboratory. Shelves on the walls hold model planes and cars. There is a mini solar system hanging from the ceiling.

Other random items include a telescope, bookshelves full of books that are subjects in everything from gardening to cooking to DIY manuals, and a Rubik cube. That one is especially puzzling since this is all black-and-white, so it's basically unsolvable.

Victor looks every bit the mad scientist he's supposed to be... sometimes. Sometimes he looks pretty normal with modern lab protective gear on. Oh and there's also this guy]

[Tim picks up the Rubik cube absently, giving his hands something to move about but technically also something to throw if need be]

Excuse me, I didn't mean to interrupt.

[jolting]

[Victor's wardrobe settles into the modern lab look. He shrugs at the words]

Don't worry about it. So... did you want something?

I don't know? I'm not entirely sure where I am or how I got here.

Is this your place?

[He glances at the other man, as he's yet to say or do anything]

[jolting]

It's my lab. It's where I have all my best ideas. [He turns to the bald man] And Igor helps me think through them.

What kind of research are you doing here?

[jolting]

Whatever comes to mind.

[Igor wheels in what looks like a dismantled motorcycle] Here's another project, doctor.

Thanks, Igor. I can't wait to get started.

[Tim raises an eyebrow at the motorcycle]

Did you want a hand? I have experience putting a bike back together. [The Rubiks cube ends up back on the table as he comes closer]

[jolting]

Thank you, but half the fun is figuring it out.

[Igor sets a tool box near the bike] We could start on the engine, doctor.

And build up from there. Of course.

[The chemicals start smoking but Victor doesn't seem to be worried]

I suppose I'll just watch then?

[Tim just steps back to watch the process, curious at what the planned experiment is with this broken bike. I mean it seems like more a repair job than an experiment]

[jolting]

[It's Victor's mind, Tim. It doesn't have to make sense. He sits and tinkers with the engine, talking through his thoughts with Igor. The planets hanging from the ceiling start spinning around in a slow orbit.

A chess set that Tim might not have noticed before is set up. It's the kind that Jim Kirk would play]

[Tim will watch for a bit before he can't resist the chess set anymore and heads over to play with the chess set]

Is this Kirk's?

[jolting]

It's one they use in his world, yeah. He and I've been playing together.

Are you any good at it? [He picks up a piece to look them over]

[jolting]

I haven't beaten him yet, but I've come close.

[Igor perks up] You'll beat him, doctor.

[Tim sets up the board with all the peices]

Would you like to play with me?

[jolting]

Yeah, why not? We can hold off on the motorcycle for a while.

[Igor adds] It just needs to be done for the wedding.

Exactly.

[permanentlyexhaustedbird]

I can help a lot with the bike in exchange for a game then? I wouldn't want it to not be finished before the wedding.

[Tim indicates for Victor to go first]

[jolting]

Of course it will be finished in time. Doctor Frankenstein is very good.

Thank you, Igor. [He makes his first move] But some help wouldn't hurt, I guess.

[Tim had come to that conclusion a little while ago but had been playing out this weird situation out.]

You don't look as I pictured you when talking to you via our communicators.

[jolting]

[Victor smirks at that, his clothing going back to the traditional mad scientist wear] Something more like this, right?

[Igor] And people assume I'm a hunchback.

I know. It's one of the first misconceptions I correct.

[permanentlyexhaustedbird]

[Tim laughs]

I was just going to say I didn't imagine you as a blonde?

Hello Igor, I didn't actually expect you to exist? I'm sorry?

[jolting]

Huh. Well, all the best versions of me are black-and-white, so my hair could've been any color.

[Igor nods at that] No one expects any of us to be real.

[permanentlyexhaustedbird]

I've yet to meet anyone who thinks I'm fictional.

Do you know where we are? This place obviously isn't real but I don't know where we actually are.

[jolting]

Sure. This is my lab. There was a garage in town nobody was using, so I moved all my science stuff inside.

[Igor] But a lot of these things are just thoughts or future projects. And I act as the doctor's assistant.

Yes. Igor's the best assistant I've ever had.
