[Kogarasumaru is sitting in the garden of the Caprine. On his shoulder rests a beautiful bird who currently happens to be asleep and burrowed into that wing hair of its owner.

The owner who smiles at the screen now.]

It would seem that we have had quite a few changes after returning to our ships. Some new arrivals and some loses as well.

[He looks to the bird and gently strokes its head.]

Sadly, Baku has departed. In her place, as captain of the Caprine, you will find myself. I am also the caretaker of the fox park and dojo here. I will be continuing my sword lessons now that we have returned. Should you require answers to questions, this father is named Kogarasumaru.

[He will nod and leave that there. Anyone living on or visiting the Caprine is welcome to come visit him.]

That makes sense. I will say that I've found all the spare time to be very trying as more time passes. I don't really like not having a sense of purpose.

How do you deal with all the time just floating?

It should be noted that this father is a sword. I have spent hundreds of years just floating as you say.

I would not call it dumb. It is rather easy to forget that I do not share the same experiences as yourself. I look human, after all.

But I should expect people to be.. weird? well, not weird but not human. Most of my long term friends are certainly not human but appear to be, like yourself.

Human is hardly the default here or at home.

You mean, to act in ways not usually associated with being human?

You mean if my friends act in ways that are not human? I mean, yes?

But if you mean the general public? I guess not? but you never know who might be a meta or in Gotham, it's more likely who might be a homicidal killer...

I think that becomes a matter of what does it mean to act human. What is it that makes someone human outside of the obvious physical traits? Some might find some human traits unusual while you find them to be normal.

So I suppose in the end one has to wonder what is the true meaning of being human. Just as one can wonder what it means to be a sword.

Well, we- humans I mean always presume the way we act is what makes us fundamentally human but there are so many different ways to be human and I've met plenty of aliens who aside from a power set or appearance act no different from other humans I've met.

So is it really human? because you have different experiences because of your physiology but otherwise are you really that different? Psychology wise?

So is there a difference between being sword or human or alien? Perhaps there are physical ones but in the end are we not just simply...alive?

Aside from the physical, I wonder if there is much of a difference, to be honest. I think hundreds of people could debate that for hundreds of years and not really be any closer to an answer though.

Have you engaged with many of the people who have held you or been around through your lifetime? Talked to them about history and different cultures?

I was provided this body in the year 2205. Even then I would not speak to my former masters since doing so could alter history.
