[ that seems like a bad idea but w/e. either way, he slips a small silver disc into her hand. when her fingers touch it, it'll project an image of pietro. his voice, his scent, his mannerisms. everything perfected to a T ]

[Wanda opens her eyes and-- oh. There was only one thing she really wanted today, and it was the one thing she couldn't have despite everyone's best attempts to cheer her up. She doesn't know how Loki managed it - did he meet Pietro the last time he was here? - but at the end of the day, it doesn't matter.

Her eyes fill with tears, and it's a good thing Loki is made of stronger stuff than most humans because he's about to get a full force hug.]

[ okay he wasn't expecting that and he doesn't quite stumble, but it gets him off-balance. he keeps his hands to the sides because he's not entirely sure what he should be doing here. he's familiar with hugs, of course, but it's rare that he returns one. ]

[She does not seem deterred by the lack of reciprocity, but in Wanda's defense, what was he expecting her to do after giving her something like that?]

All I wanted was to see him again, [she gets out eventually.] Thank you.

[It was impossible to end up in Wanda's room and not run into something related to Pietro. And even now, when Wanda pulls back, she can't quite bring herself to put the little disc away.]

Maybe you will meet him one day. They tell me he was here before.

You would have liked him, I think. He had a taste for mischief.

[Wanda ducks her head and laughs. You can just see the potential for mischief in Pietro's posture.]

You might have gotten along too well.

Perhaps. Though I would not say it is a bad thing.

[Congrats Loki, you are officially beating everyone else's record on making her laugh today.]

[But just like that, all the mirth drains out of her expression. She used present tense again. She needs to stop doing that.

When she speaks again, her voice is much quieter.]

I hope you get to meet him someday.
