Hux was currently at his work shop, where he spent most of his time at. He had been pretty busy since Pidge had left the ship. To a degree he missed her presence and her hard work ethic. The two had always been on edge with each other, but they learned to appreciate each other's skills and hard work.

Millicent was preoccupied with stalking one of the mouse droids. Right now Hux was cleaning up the shield he had promised Steve upon his arrival. It was finally completed with the help of Captain Looma. Having never used a forge before, Hux found that to be an entirely new experience. It took a few trials before he was satisfied with the final results.

Ever since he gained Millicent as an animal companion, he found that his workshop brought various visitors. Most wanting to spend time with the kitten. He pretty much ignored them with only keeping an eye on them making sure they weren't being too rough with her. Not that Millicent wouldn't defend herself it that were the case.

When he wasn't in the workshop, Hux was found training in the obstacle course. He was either practicing the hand to hand combat he was learning from Ulaz or keeping up with his skills with his blaster.

Hux can also be found at the Iskaulit either at the bar, one of the places to eat, or checking various places out needing to see people he hadn't checked on in a while.

[Keith glanced up as someone else entered. He was warming up before a run through the course, and recognized Hux right away. He gave him a small nod.]

Hey.

[Hux gave a nod in Keith's direction. It's been quite some time since he had seen the paladin. It was a good time to catch up with him on how things were going.]

Do you wish for a running partner?

Yeah, sure.

[Keith smiled a bit.]

If you think you're up to it.

[He smirked a bit then. Keith, please... not everything had to be a competition.]

[Hux merely raised an eyebrow and sensed the competition that Keith was presenting. Hux wasn't much of an athlete, but one thing he did excel at was running.

So Hux joined Keith and took his time with the running. He wanted to pace himself. It was never best to use all of his eneergy right away.]

[Keith wasn't as much into pacing. He liked to get out ahead early, and his crazy stamina often helped him stay there. With an obstacle course, his agility came into play, too, so Keith wasn't going to go easy on Hux with this. He came to the first obstacle... a rope ladder up to a platform above.

Time to climb!]

[Easily enough Hux reached up for the ropes and began to climb. It slowed him down a bit, something he didn't want, but it was an exercise he wasn't used to dealing with a whole lot.

However, once they got to the top, Hux was able to balance himself along the narrow bridge they had to use to get to the next course. He refused to look down. He found that he could handle this easier then the rope ladder and made it to the next obstacle. ]

[Keith heard the steps behind him as Hux made it up to the platform and started making his way across the narrow bridge. He grinned. Ever competitive, Keith was going to give this his all.

They hit a point where they had to make their way up a steep ramp and back down the other side before reaching a grouping of knotted ropes they had to use to climb a wall. The ramp was easy for Keith, as he was very agile, but the ropes slowed him a bit. Keith's physicality was more about his ability to dodge and his endurance, not sheer strength.]

[Hux found that the steep ramp slowed him down. He didn't like it one bit, but he powered through it. Once he got to the wall with the knotted ropes, he made up for the time. This was something he could handle.

He grinned as he gripped one of the knotted ropes and began to swiftly climb up the wall.]

[Keith grunted a bit in response. He smirked, that competitive edge showing its face.]

But I'll see you at the finish line.

[Smack talk? Smack talk.

Still, Hux did get ahead of Keith in the rope climb, and Keith had to use the next straight run between obstacles to catch up. He dove down hard to duck under the rope netting they had to crawl under. When he and Lance had run this while Keith had been glitched into a panther, it had been hard to do as a large cat, but now?

Keith wriggled and crawled his way underneath like a pro.]

[Steve smiles as he walks into the workshop, finding Hux. He stops to pick Millicent up and scritch her behind the ears.]

Hey, Hux. Sorry I'm late. You wanted to see me?

[Hux gave a nod and waved him in. Millicent chirped, happy to see her friend and brushed her head against his hand.]

No need to worry, you're not late. I just wanted to show you the shield I had promised to make for you upon your arrival. It took longer then expected and Captain Looma had helped with it.

Hey, thanks, sir. That is really nice of you.

[Steve places Millicent on a shelf and walks in closer.]

It will be real helpful to have again.

[Hux stood up and brought over the shield to Steve. It was painted in the colors he was familiar with. Hux tried his best to keep it to the original design.]

There might be a small paw print in the design, thanks to Millicent....she decided to investigate it while it was drying.

[He admitted with a slight glare at the kitten who only looked at him with an innocent look.]]

[Steve looks over the shield and the paw print with hearts in his eyes.]

Hux. This is incredible. And Millie's little addition? This is amazing. Really, sir.

[Steve let's out a laugh and slaps Hux on the shoulder, hard.]

I can't thank you enough for this. How can I pay you?

I'm glad then that you approve of Millicent's addition.

[Even though Hux is still doubtful on it, but if Steve is happy then he will let it be. He will have to be more careful next time.]

There's no need to pay me back. The fact that you were willing to listen to my story and accept what had happened is more then enough.

Listening and trying to understand someone is the bare minimum, Hux. Please don't thank me for that. Especially when it took me a little while to even manage it.

[Steve runs his hand over the shield and smiles.]

If you don't want me to pay you back then let me do something for Millie and her addition. Anything you think she'd like? A new toy? Something to rip up? Tuna?
