New Places, New People
Who: (AU) Noctis and YOU
Broadcast: Nah
Action: Blameless and Iskaulit
When: After April 7th Shuffle to April 11th
SS Blameless, after shuffle
[Since being suddenly transported to a space ship (and suddenly being vaguely familiar with space as well) apparently wasn't disorienting enough, clearly it was time to do it again. Noctis didn't want to, of course, because during the week he'd been stuck on the Marsiva, he'd managed to develop a decent mental map of the place.
And now he has to start all over.
He doesn't know where he's ended up this time, but there was music and the space feels smaller than the Marsiva. Hmm. It takes him a minute to find a wall, and then he's following it.]
I hope this doesn't happen all the time...
Iskaulit, April 9-11
[So now he's found another ship! But this time he's here on purpose, but still equally lost. The Iskaulit is bigger than the Blameless, but apparently more lively, which means more witnesses if Noctis happens to run into a wall or door frame.
Or person.]
Gah, sorry...didn't know you were there.

For Prompto, TD continuation
He would.
[The ring's on his hand, and at it's mention, he starts fiddling with it. Somehow, probably related to him being here, he can't feel any of the magic it's supposed to be able to access...just as well, since he's not supposed to use it. Prompto--his Prompto--knows that very well.
But this one might not.]
He totally would. I'm surprised it didn't kill him...I feel like I'm going to die every time I use it, and it's mine.
[Where's Ignis when he needs to shake him and tell him not to be stupid?]
no subject
[Joking aside, he is sympathetic. He'd noticed the ring on Noct's hand shortly after his rescue. Even witnessed it in action.]
I'm sorry. No one should have to deal with that.
no subject
[Though he's also the divine disappointment too, even though Shiva seems to have a soft spot for him.]
Yeah...too bad the Six don't think so.
no subject
[He lightly kicks at one of Noct's feet without thinking.]
The Six can eat chocobo pellets. I mean, I've only seen like ... three of them? But I'm gonna assume the other three aren't much better.
no subject
He kicks back.]
Not really. They're all petty bastards who don't care what happens to humanity so long as their prophecy is fulfilled. 'Cept the Glacian, she's helped us more than once.
no subject
Yeah? Guess I missed out on that one.
[The boys had filled him in on what he'd missed, after the whole ... train thing.]
no subject
Well, maybe you you, but the other you was there both times.
no subject
None of that really matters any more. He grins, and hopes it carries through in his voice.]
Lucky him. I guess there's no point in asking what's the last thing you remember from home.
[It was how they figured out who was from where, when they'd reappear after an absence, or in Ignis's case, fall into a coma and wake up older. But it seems there's more changed in this Noct's world than just Altissia.]
no subject
[Now might not be the best time, but maybe Prompto would like to hear sometime about ow this Noctis and his Prompto escaped the train and Ardyn's illusion by jumping out of it. Or maybe Iris the Daemon Slayer and Gladio's reluctant acceptance of said job title, for something a little more amusing.]
But we were about to kick Ardyn off the throne back home, and then kick his ass as many times as we needed to until he died permanently.
no subject
[He perks up in interest. When Luna and Noct were here, they would sometimes skirt over what was happening in what would be his future. But he always felt they were holding something back. The subject would suddenly change, or be dropped altogether.]
We were on our way to finding the crystal.
[He still believed everything would work out once they did.
He didn't know yet that they would lose Noctis to the crystal, or that ten years of darkness would follow, that what was left of their group would effectively disband.]/dumps some feelings on you
[Noctis won't tell him that, because none of that ever happened to him. He'd be devastated to hear, though, that the group parted ways for any reason.]We found it...and then we abandoned it.
[He pauses, playing with the ring on his finger again. It shouldn't be as hard to say the second time, but it is. To tell Prompto that he didn't trust it, was scared that the Crystal might reject him as the ring seemed to be. That they came so close and yet turned back.
And he still thinks it was a good idea.]
The Six...they have this prophecy. And they're dead-set on fulfilling it...they need me to live in and 'commune with' that damn Crystal for ten years to get stronger. Ten years, Prompto. While the rest of the world just dies from constant daemon attacks and lack of sunlight, I guess.
no subject
[Is that what happens? Or was this another divergence?
As Noctis continues, he feels his world went another way. That Luna had come from ten years in the future is too much of coincidence. And it wouldn't make sense that they would try to keep leaving the crystal behind from him.
But losing the sun would have dire consequences. They saw what had become of Gralea. And he could only imagine Insomnia, set upon with daemons now that the protective walls were toppled. Was that what the rest of the world would become then? Death and darkness.
He scrubs a hand through his hair, dispelling the downward tilt his thoughts are taking.]
So you left it behind.
The days were already getting shorter. Is there a way to fix it without the crystal?
no subject
[It's so weird to have had this conversation already, in a different place just over a week ago. Not exactly the same, and it's as far away from home as he's ever been but it's about the same.
Come to think of it, he'd assumed that Prompto knew about the prophecy and how it pertained to him and the crystal. Now he isn't sure.]
Otherwise, the only way to end the night is to pay the blood price and sacrifice myself.
[He was looking in Prompto's general direction before, but at the second statement he turns his head slightly to shift his gaze more to the floor behind and to the side of his friend. He can't see it, of course, but maybe Prompto also can't see that he's trying not to cry.]
no subject
But he watches Noct's demeanor shift and holds off on saying anything.
It feels like a punch to the gut. He knew there was a prophecy, he didn't know that was part of it. He fumbles for something to say. The foot that had been kicking at him earlier returns, but simply rests alongside his, to say he's here. Need a hug, buddy?]
Then... then you did the only thing you could, right? There has to be another way.
Blameless
Welcome to the Blameless. You must be our new arrival.
[And he holds his hand out in greeting.]
no subject
Blameless, huh? I take it you're the captain of the ship?
no subject
No. I am actually the First Mate. Would you like to be guided to your room?
no subject
Huh. I was close.
[A room? It makes a little sense that he already has a room set aside from him if he's been assigned the ship, but it's a little surprising nonetheless.]
Yeah, I'd appreciate it. Which way?
no subject
[Biffy turns and starts walking, actually making his footsteps more audible to make it easier for the young man to hear where he is at the moment.]
no subject
[It keeps happening! At least he's never had to stay there too long yet.]
Doorway? [Oh, there's one side of it, he's just discovered that with his shoulder.] Ah, got it. How big's this ship?
no subject
[He pauses to make sure that he's okay but still doesn't try to treat him like he can't handle himself. Obviously he moves like he can. He simply hasn't gotten to know this ship yet.]
I think it's small? Honestly my arrival in this Fleet was my first experience with any kind of travel above ground. Though, the Iskaulit is far bigger so I would imagine that these ships we're made to live on are rather small.
I accidentally deleted this tag, I'm sorry
[He can handle walking short distances for the most part, but he does like having someone nearby, just in case. Though Biffy's a total stranger, and so he's not entirely sure what to make of the man yet, aside from that he's fairly polite.]
I didn't even know there were ships that could leave the planet until I ended up here. Outside video games and sci-fi movies, anyway.
no worries!
no subject
[It's too bad both his phone and his sight are gone, or else he might be able to show off King's Knight.]
no subject
[He stops after a moment, making sure to give the other enough room that he doesn't run into him in the process.]
Here is your room. If you need anything please let me know. I'm easy enough to get in touch with and we do have our communication devices as well.
no subject
[He knows where Biffy is, and steps around him to feel for the door, running his hand across it to see if there's anything about it that would differentiate it from the other doors in the ship. There's a plaque of some sort with raised dots on it, which he assumes means something. He can't read Lucian braille, though, so whether it's that or a foreign script he's not sure.]
I appreciate it. I'm Noctis, by the way.
[And he'll hold his hand out for a handshake, since he missed Biffy's attempt.]
no subject
It's a pleasure, Mr. Noctis. I am Sandalio de Rabiffano. You can call me Biffy though. Most people do.
Iskaulit!
[Literally.]
I remember you. We met on the Marsiva, right? I see falling out of beds isn't the only thing you're good at.
no subject
That wasn't on purpose, and neither was this.
[He retracts his apology.]
no subject
Still, you should watch where you're going.
no subject
Easier said than done.
[Now he's just being ornery; he could easily acquire a cane.]
no subject
[In her defense, she doesn't know he's blind.]
no subject
No, I'm blind.
[He figured she'd noticed when they were on the Marsiva, but then again, they didn't really interact much during that week.]
no subject
no subject
Would if I could. [He taps a bit of his own scarred skin just below one eye.] It was an accident, lighten up.
no subject
no subject
[Arguably, Noctis wasn't paying enough attention, but good luck getting him to admit that.]
no subject

no subject
I love this CR
He considers this for a moment, then sighs.]
Fine. I'm sorry...
[Pause.]
...But you're the one who's angry at a blind guy.
haha! Good I worry Manji is too much of a jerk sometimes
no subject
[He doesn't really like pulling the disability card, but he also doesn't really like being chastised for this long for something partially out of his control.]
no subject
no subject
[And he hasn't been able to summon any of his weapons, which is what he normally uses as makeshift canes. They work great, especially if you need to attack right away.]
Haven't really needed it until now.
no subject
no subject
[The 'duh' is implied.]
Are you offering?
