video + action | a return
Who: Glenn Rhee & anyone! <3
Broadcast: Fleetwide & Personal
Action: Goldstone
When: April 19th, shortly after his return
[ It's been a few hours since he woke up back on the Goldstone, long enough to compose himself through the lingering dread, to find out about recent departures and weather a different kind of shock. He throttles that down for the moment, long enough to reach out... ]
[ video | broadcast ]
Uh, hey. I just wanted to let people know that I'm back. Though I guess I didn't actually go anywhere?
[ His brow furrows, the tone is a little questioning, dubious – it's all very disorienting, suddenly missing a month and change. And on top of that, right out of calibrations... but he shrugs it off, retaining a carefully composed demeanor. ]
Anyway. I'm back on the Goldstone, and... if I missed anything important, let me know? [ With a small, tight-lipped smile, ] Thanks.
[ video | personal, to: daryl dixon, carl grimes, aaron ]
[ The open feed done, he makes sure to reach out specifically, notably less numbed - ]
Hey... is everyone all right?
[ action | goldstone ]
On board the ship, Glenn heads to engineering to check in and take stock of everything, make sure all the systems are stable - the ship is fine on its own, of course, but he feels better having something to occupy himself, to at least feel productive. He then checks in at the bridge, to see if he can touch base with any crewmates up there. Things have shifted notably in his absence - even his quarters are different now, though that's not the part he truly cares about.
And in between these stops, he walks the corridors, subdued as he tries to ground himself, shake off the vestiges of dread that came over him upon his return to the ship - and has lingered since he discovered the notable absence among its crew.

Hey yourself. Welcome back to the land of the conscious. What's the last thing you remember? [Since she doesn't really know how long he was out.]

People going into each other's heads?
[ He furrows his brow a little there. ]
I didn't even get back to the ship from that until now. Seems like it was... a while.

Glenn. I was getting worried you'd never wake up.
video | private
Yeah... I kind of got the impression that it's been a while.
[ With just a trace of humor, because clearly he didn't have much of a say - ]
Sorry about that.

[He does look apologetic, though.]
I'm sorry. The...Atroma sent Maggie home.

[ He gives a small nod, then hangs on that for a quiet moment. ]
Do you know when?
video | private
[He frowns.]
It's hard, I know. You just...keep busy. Even though...sometimes, with some of the crazy stuff that happens here? I head back to my cabin ready to...to talk about it, only to remember he's not here.
[He's quiet after that, because he really doesn't like thinking about the fact that Eric isn't here, and it isn't really fair to make Glenn focus on Maggie being gone, either.]
I'm still game for those t-shirts, by the way.
video;
[His smile is a little forced. Although Pavel didn't know Maggie (he doesn't know Glenn all that well, for that matter), he keeps an eye on the ship rosters and he knows that she's gone. Hopefully someone already filled Glenn in on that.]
You didn't miss so much. The last system was very boring--all forests and cabins, mostly.
video;
[ He gives a small smile back, not quite forced but with that hint of sadness lingering behind it. Because, oh yes, he knows. ]
Honestly, that doesn't sound so bad. Boring can be nice sometimes.

I could do with that. Civilization can also be seriously underrated.
On the Goldstone
Hello? Did you just arrive?
no subject
Not exactly, uh... I just got back, actually. Hi.
voice;
[ As usual, Daryl is the master of understatement. As usual, Daryl has a lot of feelings about his friends. ]
voice;
You too.
[ With a warm amusement - ]
Well. Good to hear you, anyway.
