[ Asteffiel has been moderately busy all day. In the morning, he's taken a large pot and a small one and has been boiling... chopped up leaves. He leaves them alone for the most part, but comes back with a wad of thread and what might be recognizable as a jumpsuit, boils them in the pots, and then vanishes into the medical bay again. What is he doing? Find out?


Or wait until later, when he sets the video up on a table, slightly obstructed by one of his potted plants. ]

I fixed it.

[ And here he holds up what might have been a jumpsuit. It's now dark green instead of charcoal, with a brighter purple embroidery in spine-y patterns. Might look like a plant's patterns. And it is also a short sleeved coat, instead of a jumpsuit. ]

[Fenris is just sitting in the mess room, trying to pay attention to his book, but all this running back and forth is rather distracting. He eventually lets out an annoyed huff, looking up from it. ]

Are you done yet?

[ Asteffiel sort of.. skips sideways at that. Hello Fenris he was hoping you would keep ignoring him until his apple seedlings actually became little trees- ]

Maybe? [ He checks on his pots. ]

... Mostly? This one isn't mostly... [ The small one seems to be giving him trouble. ]

[Fenris should just go back to his book, he should ignore the not!demon and focus on his studies. He doesn't. Curiosity gets the better of him. ]

...What exactly are you attempting to achieve? Other than be exceptionally irritating.

I am trying to make dye. [ He is going to... ignore that later bit. Because he isn't trying to be irritating! But.. protesting things like that at Ferris didn't seem to work out, so... not protesting. ]

... It is taking longer and more leaves than I thought it would.

...Dye for what, exactly?

[He doesn't care. Nope. ]

Cloth-clothes! [ Because he is wearing leaf ones, those change color different ways. ]

... I guess maybe hair too, if someone really wanted to. Not sure how that would work.

[wolfuncaged]

[Fenris stares at him for a moment, before shrugging and going back to his reading. ]

I am sure someone would be able to tell you.

Probably. But I don't think it would work on my hair.

[ Because leaves.

... Although now he's happy with his pots, so he'll be leaving for a bit.

And back again because that's just how it goes, but this time he's got a wad of cloth. ]

[Stupid plant thing.

Fenris just lets out a long, steady breath and tries to focus on the words. Is it my-nute or min-it? He forgets, why oh why are they spelled the same?! ]

[ Busy plant! Asteffiel fishes out chunks of leaves before dumping his wad of cloth in one of the pots.

... He should keep the cooked leaves for compost. Those go into a bowl, and he's back to intently watching the pot. ]

[wolfuncaged]

[Fenris allows it for a moment more, before heaving an annoyed sigh and getting to his feet. He'll just go...read in the armory. ]

[ Ferris he didn't mean to chase you out. Asteffiel stays at the stove, watching for a moment. ]

... When I am done, I could knock on the armory and you can have the kitchen back?

[wolfuncaged]

[Ugh, talking. Words. AND HIS NAME ISN'T FERRIS, HE'S NOT TAKING A DAY OFF. ]

[ Asteffiel doesn't reply, but!


About three hours later, there is a couple of wooden sounding knocks on Ferris's door.

And then Asteffiel escapes to his med lab because he would probably make Ferris angry if he stayed around.

See they can friend a little, right? ]

Look at that, they had an experience that didn't end in violence, yay for them.]
