mission 03: video, action

Who: Steve Rogers (AU)
Broadcast: Network
Action: SS Blue Fish, SS Iskaulit
When: During drift

Network

What's your favorite kind of music? I ask because I'm still catching up on what I missed back home, but I like discovering new things.

Action

[ During the first week or so of drift, thanks to mostly palling around on his own in the last system, Steve Grant seems slightly more at ease in his own skin now. He's still not the most talkative guy around, but he's working on that. A little. Mostly he can be found on board his own ship or at work, but sometimes he'll go to the gym at odd hours or settle down in the art room with some paints or a pencil and blank sheets of paper.

Less often, but when he's most restless and can't sleep, he'll just walk around and make maps in his head of where his fellow passengers are allowed. And where they aren't. ]

Music you can dance to. [#priorites] Which is possibly less helpful in your mission of discovery.

Well, that is why I have a dancing studio. Just in case you, specifically, came here and needed to learn.

[If she has future-reading powers she'd really like to be cut in on it!]

I really am. To a fault. [Just playing it up.]

Depends on the kind of dance. Ballet tends to call for the classical, but dancing with someone something upbeat and fun or slow and soulful depending on the person of course.

Basically. It's been several years since I was home and my various off world prison adventures haven't had a lot of music from home available, but I was always partial to I was made for lovin' you.

[If there was one small mercy about being on the Blue Fish, it was that it had an art room. Art is a hobby she's had little time to dabble in during recent years, but it's one she enjoys nonetheless.]

[She walks into the art room, easel in hand, surprised to see someone else.]

Color me surprised. I was expecting to be alone.

What have you listened to so far—gotten to Johnny Cash yet?

[This doesn't answer his actual question, but Natasha tends to be cagey about details about herself. And that aside, she's amused and interested at a Steve who's experimental with his music.]

The late 70s. 1970s. [You know, to clarify.] You have to hear all the "do's" to really appreciate it.

[Oh, you're in trouble now.]

Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do
Do, do, do, do, do, do, do

(OOC: For reference but she doesn't have a full band nor is she KISS. I was Made for Loving You)

That's a lot to get through. A lot of good music, though. I think you'll like him.

[Something about that whiff of Americana.]

When you get to Nancy Sinatra, you should call me.

I'm all about the classics - they've actually saved my life once. Who knew Beastie Boys were great for disrupting a closed network communication?

[ He laughed at the image that presented. ]

No, no! They’re a rap group from the 1990s. My favorite is their song “Sabotage”. Though being a special ops team would have been a good backdrop for one of their videos, I’m sure.

There were words too and a whole band of music and some pretty killer looks. Face paint. Glitter. It's a whole thing. It might not be for everyone.
