[ video ]
Who: Keith, open
Broadcast: Yes
Action: Huntress, Iskaulit... all the usual spots... even willing to do something on a waystation with a dumb tourist trap LOL
When: Just after Krolia disappeared
=====
[ video ]
I got word, um... I just wanted to let everyone know Krolia's not the in Fleet anymore.
[Anyone who knows Keith's relationship with Krolia would probably understand why he's unsettled by this.]
Thanks...
[And he signed off.]

[ action ]
[Keith could be found dealing with his loss in the usual ways... throwing himself into his responsibilities as Captain and pilot, working out heavily in the gym or the obstacle course, attempting to avoid social contact... typical Keith. Come distract him or get him to talk. Take him to a dumb tourist trap! Work out with him! Get him to spill his guts! So many options!]

Are you all right?
Re: video;
I will be. I've been on my own before.
[Though, he wasn't really on his own completely. But that wasn't the meaning behind his words. Not having a parent around was kind of something he was already used to, though... through no real fault of either of his parents, honestly.]
Krolia's my mom.

[That makes it all clear. He understands the reticence, and doesn't begrudge the young man for it, but he's grateful to have even this response. His voice is low and gentle, full of sympathy.]
I'm so sorry. It's terrible to be separated from a parent, for however long. This seems a cruel place in that regard.

[He can't help but think of his own son, stuck here also, and completely without him for months on end.]

[He shrugged.]
Could be considered long to some. Or short compared to others.

[But then, he's from a long-lived people.]
Albeit better than no time at all.

[Keith was definitely a blend of his parents, but his human genes seemed to take precedence. So, he could end up aging like a normal human... or, it could be one of the few things he inherited from his mom... or he could end up in the middle somewhere. He wasn't exactly sure, and, being the first known person in the universe like him, he had no baseline to go from.
He shrugged.]
Either way, though, you're right. It was definitely better than no time at all.
[He'd been there for most of his life, after all.]

I've only just arrived, so this might be too optimistic, but... hopefully we can find our way back to where we belong, sooner rather than later. No doubt she'll be waiting for you.
no subject
I don't doubt that at all.
[He managed a weak smile at the thought. Though, it was bittersweet. To go home and get back what he'd lost meant losing what he had here. It wouldn't be an easy decision for him to make if the time came.]
Thanks.

Oh, look.]
I thought I'd find you here.

Yeah... I guess I'm kind of predictable like that.
