Who: Anduin Wrynn
Broadcast: Fleet-Wide
Action: The Marsiva
When: Mid-day April 25th
[Upon waking up, it's going to take some time to come to grips with where he is and why his clothing is perfectly mended and he feels more rested than he has in weeks (if not months). For awhile he's just going to explore his new surroundings before trying his hand at a broadcast. Anduin's not precisely sure how he knows how to use the device but ...he does. It's different and new, and he tries to keep his voice level and somewhat neutral as he faces this new endeavor. It's at odds with the expression on his face, which is something like that of a confused puppy.]
Perhaps someone can assist me.
[He drops into silence with a quiet sigh, mulling over his words once more, settling on a path. When he glances up again his voice is warm once more, the calm returning.]
Introductions are in order first, I believe. Hello, my name is Anduin. Anduin Wrynn...
[He debated offering his title for a moment and for those potentially native to Azeroth it shows in how he trails off. Something lingering in the final syllable of his name but going unsaid. After a heartbeat he picks up that slack with a moderately cheerful tone and finishes his thoughts with a smile.]
I think that it would be my pleasure to meet you all as well.

Mostly trying to get my bearings at the moment. I'm sure there will be more to fret and question as soon as I gather myself but for now... just my bearings. More information.

You are currently on board the Marsiva, which is generally empty aside from new people. You'll be teleported to one of the smaller ships in a few hours. All the other ships in the fleet are sort of... invisibly tethered to the big ship. Where the Marsiva goes, the ships follow, though the ones with pilots can travel a good distance away from it.
[He taps his chin.]
The food is terrible, by the way. If you want something resembling real food, you will have to visit a planet or a waystation.
no subject
He manages not to, somehow.]
So you're saying that we go from here to another place and the smaller ships follow like ducklings - and the food is terrible?
[That's perhaps the biggest letdown at the moment beyond, you know being here.]

[He pauses, and something in his expression shifts, turns a little dark and faintly sad.]
Or... do you not remember how we met before? Such is the case with the last person I spoke to.
no subject
I... am sorry but I don't.
[The sad look gains his attention and he hurries with his next words, attempting to bridge that gap before it has a chance to possibly close.]
But... please don't let that stop you from talking to me. Things were hectic and now I'm here and I'm attempting to work it all out.

The fact that I am a blood elf doesn't put you off in the slightest?
[He's so idealistic. It's... disgusting, he wants to say, but Belth likes him anyway.]
We met in a ruined world neither of us had heard of before. We had an arrangement to trade books after Lady Proudmoore left, but it seems our fortunes have changed. You see, my ship-- the Bishop-- is the one with a library, and it is open to all.

[He offers Bel a small smile in hopes of encouraging him to continue. It seems to work - the other continues and while Anduin can't say that he's ever heard of - or remembers anything about a ruined world of Aunt Jaina ...he doesn't scoff or dismiss it.]
It's ...not something I remember at all.
[Pause.]
But I would like to borrow a book or two at some point, if you wouldn't mind?
no subject
[He knows Anduin likes books. It's one of the few things they have in common. He scratches at his cheek.]
It isn't up to me. Krista, our captain, started the library on her own. According to her, anyone is free to take or leave whatever they'd like.

[He isn't discrediting the idea though it seems farfetched at best. Still, stranger things have happened, he supposes. It's something to think about and he wants to talk about it more - but he sets it aside for now.]
That sounds wonderful.
[It's a bit of news to cheer him up a bit, all in all.]
no subject
But, books? Books sound great.]
Whenever you are taken to a new ship, let me know. I can show you around.
[A pause, and then he almost facepalms.]
... I forgot my name. I mean, I forgot to give you my name. It's Belthazar. [He looks away.] ... Sorry. I'm bad at this.
no subject
I'll let you know as soon as ...that happens. Will it be soon, do you think?
[>The smile deepens. He starts to speak - pauses, allows Belthazar to give his name then forges ahead.]
I'd like that a great deal, Belthazar. Thank you.

[Aaaaaand now his ears lower, pinkening at the tips.]
T-there's no need to thank me. I haven't done anything.
no subject
[His grin deepens.]
It's just nice to have a friend here, that's all.
no subject
F-friends? But you don't-- but you're a prince and I'm just--!!

[He sounds a touch mournful - he misses his dad, he worries about him, but it's practical to try and face the facts of the situation. Any lingering feeling of unease is pushed aside as he studies Bel.]
If you wanted. I didn't mean to offend you or anything.

We... [He breathes out slowly.] We can be friends. As long as your father doesn't try to kill me.
He was kind before, but I am still nervous.
no subject
[He won't get into an argument about his father if he can help it - he knows his father's faults all too well but Varian has been trying. He's really been trying it seems like.]
If he... should he ever arrive. I would talk to him. You don't have to worry.
no subject
I am used to everyone trying to kill me, you understand. But your father tried his best to be civil when I met him, and even tried to help me with a problem. I can see why he is so beloved by the people closest to him.
[He's not very good at comforting people but he feels like he should... try. As before.]
He must have learned from you.
no subject
...Thank you. We used to butt heads a lot but... I think he's genuinely trying to rise above a lot of his old grudges. It's hard for him, but he's trying.

[Belth looks downward, fidgeting with the hems of his sleeves.]
Is there anything else?
no subject
[Because it isn't in his nature to just "settle" in.]
But I would like to talk again sometime.
no subject
He clears his throat.]
... Okay.
[Sorry, Anduin. He's still pretty shy.]
