[Polly is on the Caprine a lot, visiting Mal. And though her social skills are not always the best, she does at least greet the other crew members when she runs into them, tries to stay friendly so that they won't mind her being there.

And she's there again, now. She's sitting in the kitchen, and yes she's found the cocoa, which is better than Mal's coffee in her opinion. And chocolate used to be banned where she's from, so of course she's going to enjoy it while she can.
