[This is a thing Cole does.

He travels the Fleet a lot, from ship to ship, meeting people, talking to people, hanging out. He sees people he knows and meets new ones, or ones he just didn't encounter before

He wants to help everyone. Which means meeting them first. Or finding them. Doing that might involve poking through the ships, even if he really shouldn't. Or going through personal belongings. Sorry about that. He's curious.

And armed. It is worth mentioning he's got a pair of wickedly sharp fighting knives on his back. Sorry about that as well.]

[He looks at her for a moment and realises he doesn't know her species.]

You're the size of a human. Most humans don't have fluffy ears. Is it nice to be scratched behind them?

[ jade's shoulders shake slightly with a silent laugh, before she nods. ]

I'm human. Mostly! And it does feel nice, but only when people ask first.

Yes. I carry them because they're dangerous. I'm dangerous with them.

You shouldn't touch people without asking. A lot of people don't like being touched. I don't. Sometimes it startles me, and one time I nearly put a knife through Rhys' hand when he scared me.

Do they hear better?

[ she's not approaching, but she is tilting her head at a slight, openly curious angle as she considers him. ]

Hi, by the way. I'm Jade. Do you live on this ship too?

Hi. I'm Cole. I don't live her. I live on the Pathstone, with Jove and Solas. And Crowley is there too, and Duke Pantarei.

[He nods slightly, confident he's listed everyone living there.]

I'm visiting. I like to meet people.

[ his inflection is a little unusual to her, but if it's the most unusual thing she runs into all day, she's doing pretty good. ]

Oh! Well, I like to meet people, too. So it's nice to meet you.
