Action: EVERY ship in the Fleet, bar Marsiva, Three Twins and Tourist (Though you can easily find him on another ship if you're from one of those)

[This is a thing Cole does.

He travels the Fleet a lot, from ship to ship, meeting people, talking to people, hanging out. He sees people he knows and meets new ones, or ones he just didn't encounter before

He wants to help everyone. Which means meeting them first. Or finding them. Doing that might involve poking through the ships, even if he really shouldn't. Or going through personal belongings. Sorry about that. He's curious.

And armed. It is worth mentioning he's got a pair of wickedly sharp fighting knives on his back. Sorry about that as well.]

[Cole steps back a little and looks at his hands, trying to pay attention to them instead.]

Hello, Commander.

You're hurting less. That's good.

[He probably means the lyrium withdrawal. Probably.]

[Probably, maybe. Cullen's been more at peace here, in a way, with both Elise and Jove to take his mind off of the bad.]

Cullen is fine. I'm no commander here.

You're in command of yourself.

[Which is almost certainly not what he meant.]

[... well, it's not untrue. And look, here he is, trying to make conversation with Cole because Elize planted the seed that maybe they should be friends.]

I am. But the title doesn't currently apply. I'm just as anyone else is, here.

Mm. Okay. I can call you Cullen.

Elize calls you Cullen. You make her feels safe and happy. She sparks when she talks about you.

[He wonders what all she and Cole spoke about. Cole knows more than he'd be comfortable with Elize knowing.]

She's a good girl. The least I can offer her is some stability in this place. Children shouldn't be here.

I didn't tell her things that would hurt her. She's young. She doesn't... need to know the horrible things that would hurt her.

[He says it softly, because they both have horrors that she doesn't need to understand.]

I hope they bring Teepo here for her.

Good. That's good, Cole. [He sounds and looks relieved. But he imagines Elize would have much more to say about her meeting Cole if it went badly.]

And her other friends from home. The poor girl is lonely.

Yes, they'd be nice, but Teepo would make the most difference.

I wonder if we can ask Atroma for Teepo for her.

At what price?

I don't mind paying a price. Not if it helps her.

Would she want you to?

I don't understand.

She... wouldn't want you to sacrifice something for her, I think.

... I wouldn't have to tell her?

[Cole sees nothing wrong with some sacrifice if it will help someone. he's lost a lot more for less.]

All the worse if she did eventually find out.

[He thinks about this.]

I don't know that I understand.

Elize sees you as a friend. She cares about your well-being and happiness, Cole.

But... having Teepo would make her happiest. She feels his absence, like a keening hollow in her arms.

She misses her doll that much, does she?

He isn't a doll.

He's all she had. Best friend, brother, guardian, confidant.

[Cullen's quiet at that. The poor girl. No child should be reduced to having only a stuffed toy for comfort.]

Then... perhaps we'll have to see what can be done.

He wasn't a toy. He was a person of his own.

Would it be okay to try and get him back now?

[In the eyes of a child, Cullen thinks.]

Elize deserves her happiness. Whatever it may be.

[Cole couldn't tell. To her, he was very, very real.]

She does. I can try and find out how to get Teepo for her.
