Open Action: Fleet Wide
Who: Cole and EVERYONE
Broadcast: No
Action: EVERY ship in the Fleet, bar Marsiva, Three Twins and Tourist (Though you can easily find him on another ship if you're from one of those)
When: First week of the month?
[This is a thing Cole does.
He travels the Fleet a lot, from ship to ship, meeting people, talking to people, hanging out. He sees people he knows and meets new ones, or ones he just didn't encounter before
He wants to help everyone. Which means meeting them first. Or finding them. Doing that might involve poking through the ships, even if he really shouldn't. Or going through personal belongings. Sorry about that. He's curious.
And armed. It is worth mentioning he's got a pair of wickedly sharp fighting knives on his back. Sorry about that as well.]

People call Teepo creepy too, but he's not. [ Teepo also falls into the so cute category for Elize. ] How do... nugalopes look different?
Umm... oh! [ There's a small laugh in her voice. She's assumes it's a serious question. ] I meant you should paint a picture of a nug.
no subject
Watching Cadash get up was funny. She wouldn't let anyone help her, and she was very little.
[He still has the pen and is still turning it in his hands.]
no subject
[ A big nug. More to hug and pet! But horns and using it to ride into battle... does that make them scary?
Finally finding a piece of paper from the drawer, she slips it on the desk next to the pile of pens. She watches him examine a pen, somewhat reminded of herself when she first found one. ]
You can make the tip of the pen come out like this. [ She picks up a pen and pushes down the top button of it with her thumb. Click. ]
no subject
[He watches her and his eyes go wide.]
Oooh.
[He clicks. And clicks. Then clicks. And clicks. Click click click click. He stops finally and holds it, awkward and clearly not used to writing or drawing.]
This is like a quill? It'll make marks?
no subject
[ Does it feel ticklish when they do that to your hand? She wants to feed a nugalope. And ride on top of one. Would she have trouble climbing on top of one too? ...There are way too many things this girl wants to do.
And good thing she's not the kind of person easily annoyed by the noise of pen clicking. Although unnecessary, she repeatedly clicks the top of her pen too. Click click click click! It's fun to do. ]
It will. I'll start drawing and show you.
[ Holding down the paper with her arm, she leans in close to her desk as she starts off drawing a pair of beady black eyes and a pig snout. ]
no subject
[He watches her draw, watches how she holds the pen and uses it. He isn't willing to try himself until he's offered paper to experiment with, but he knows there are several rooms like this on the Pathstone. Maybe one would have pens and paper like this.]
Can you read and write?
no subject
[ There's a lot she can't remember.
The lines she draws on the paper are stiff, not fluid and free-flowing like some skilled artists. Clearly she's no practicing artist, but doodling was one of her activities to keep her entertained when she was alone with Teepo.
As the line work comes together, the picture shows a rappig really does look just like a fat pig with long rabbit ears. It's childish, amateur drawing... but it's still easy to tell it's some kind of animal. ]

I was like that. I didn't remember things. Remembering was hard, but it was good to know things, even if they hurt.
[But he had never remembered, maybe he could've stayed with Rhys and Evangeline.
If he had never remembered, he wouldn't have joined the Inquisition and made new friends.]
no subject
[ Elize hopes she can remember more someday. Especially about her parents... their whereabouts, what they look like, if they loved her. She believes they're still out there, somewhere. Even if she was given a choice to go searching for them though, she chose to stay with her new friends. Milla would have wanted to part ways with her and continue her mission...
She adds a few finishing touches to her drawing, circles to represent the brown patches on the rappig. Not much to do about color when there's only blue, black, and red pens for note taking. ]
And that's a rappig! [ Smiling a bit, looking pleased with her work. She pushes the sheet of paper closer to Cole, having left some blank drawing space open if he wanted to try drawing on it too. ]
no subject
Rappigs are... sort of similar to nugs. They have similar ears.
[He takes the silent offer, testing how to make lines and finding it easier than the quills of home.
He moves very carefully with the pen, making lines painfully slowly but exceptionally precisely.
What he draws isn't a nug. It's what a nug means to him. There's glimpses of the physical self, but there's spirals and spikes and different colours moving together in a way that doesn't make sense but definitely forms some kind of cohesive whole.]
The colours aren't right. I don't know if mortals have the colours I want.
no subject
[ Teepo sometimes helped her remember things, but he's not here...
She rests her chin on her hands, watching him patiently as he draws. She also quietly considers searching for more drawing material with different colors besides boring black, blue, and red.
His drawing isn't what she expecting to see and she finds herself tilting her head at it. ]
That's... an interesting design?
no subject
It's not right. I'm sorry.
no subject
[ She notices that frustration, growing worried. It looks confusing and strangely pretty in a way. She doesn't really understand why it looks the way it does, but she doesn't want him to be upset or apologizing over it. ]
N-no, it's fine! It's still good art!
no subject
It's not good art. But thank you. You're very nice.
no subject
W-we'll have to find a nug and we can practice drawing nugs all day!
no subject
[He takes the paper back and focuses hard on what his eyes see. It's even slower, and he keeps cutting off his actions and pulling back to try and constrain it to a physical image.
In the end, it's still a bit... impressionistic, but there's a clearer idea. It's hunched and has hands it walks on. Its wide mouth is set low on the snout. It has rabbit ears and small, beady eyes.]
no subject
Ohh... I see it now. You did good, Cole!
no subject
I think that's mostly how people would see it.
no subject
Do spirits normally see things like that?
no subject
Except Command. But... it wouldn't speak to me. It thought I was unworthy.
no subject
Demons are spirits?
no subject
Vivienne calls me a demon, to hurt me. The Iron Bull calls me a demon, because he doesn't have another word for me. I don't mind when he does it.
no subject
She pulls the drawing paper close to her side again, looking at the empty spaces. Don't mind her as she starts doodling in little flowers all around their drawings as she talks. ]
Who's Vivienne? She sounds awful.
no subject
[He thinks about how to describe her.]
She doesn't like me. And she's allowed to. She does think I'm dangerous to the Inquisition.
no subject
[ She just makes a little huff. Still, whoever she is, Elize doesn't like the sound of her. Hurt her friends and she immediately dislikes you. ]
You can talk to bulls? What's the in-kwe-zih-shun? [ The Iron Bull. Inquisiton. Jove may have told her about it already, but she avoided using the words "inquisition" and "inquisitor" around her. ]
