[After is conversation with Zee, Sokka has been determined to find out what weird shennanigans have been going on in their ships. He picks a day where the ship is largely quiet and empty, and goes about opening a couple wall panels out. He doesn't like what he finds.

When he turns on the communicatior, he's frowning.]

Okay, I followed up on something Zee found on the Marsiva, where there was weird stuff in the walls, and uh-

[He turns the screen to the opened up wall panel. Pipes go where they logically shouldn't, there are moving parts that connect in no logical way to power sources. They've always been there, he just hasn't noticed them, until Zee brought it to his attention.

I don't understand a good chunk of this. I've been here for eight months. I know every inch of this ship, but I've never seen these until now. I mean- I think I've seen them, but I don't think I noticed them? And I don't understand how they work.

Does anyone? I kinda want to dissect some of it, but I don't know if it'll kill us horribly or not. Thoughts? Anyone?

Alright, I got the basics of space junk jammed in my brain, but not the specifics. What, exactly am I looking at?

These don't make sense. I don't know where they go.

[It's bugging him because this is the ship he runs and anything unknown might be a threat to the crew he wants to protect.]

A whole lot of stuff that shouldn't work, but is working. I got the engineering augment, I should know how everything on this ship works. But this? This I don't get.

Looks like maybe your augment's broken, mate.

Some of them look like they don't even go anywhere. The last time I saw something like that was in a place of magic...

[Which is even less comforting than it sounds. He frowns. He wasn't an engineer, but a ship is like a mechanical body, right? And he does knows biological bodies. At least he knows enough to know one thing- stuff is there for a reason. There isn't space to waste.]

Is this in every part of the walls or just that one spot?

Yeah, I took a couple out, even went right down the ship. They have differences, here and there, but it's still the same thing.

[He considers for a minute]

Hmm...maybe we should have Timcanpy take photos of it before there's any dissecting. Just for later reference.

But you know what? Way back, ages ago, I was wondering how new stuff gets added the ships. I just assumed it was some kind of bullshit space magic and forgot about it, but now that I'm looking at it...

If you want to take it apart, the best time to do it is when we've landed and the ships don't need to be airborne. I'd like to know how any of this is operational with pipes like that. I mean, I think there's one that just stops, or is it just me?
