[it appears that the atroma is tired of one of its star ratings-grabbers not doing a damn thing. for the entire duration of april, hiro was fixing ships and running jobs for parts. for the month of may, he's been using those parts. he's currently working with black paint of some sort, with music playing from seemingly nowhere (looks like the sound system he kept talking about got completed).

[if you haven't sought him out, and you're not regularly training him, hiro's been completely radio silent while he's been working. in fact, he hasn't even answered text messages in a couple days.

[when he finishes coating the surface he's working on in the paint, he lowers the mask he's wearing and sighs, wiping (and smearing paint on) his forehead. he looks like a mess.

[but hey, at least he's alive!]

[Alex gives a little snort-laugh at his job, and waggles her fingers.]

Uh--this is... not art paint. It's industrial stuff, and I've only got black. Trying to make it conduct heat a little better. I got it on the waystations we were at I think... a few weeks ago now.

[hiro's been in a cave for a month and has forgotten how to talk to people]

[Cue REALLY DRAMATIC groan.]

What are you even doing with that stuff?

Making a hyper-composting bin so we can make fertilizer for all of our medical herbs and crops?

Yeah, no. Still boring.

It's not boring, it's science. I made the sound system and the upgraded alarm system on this ship, too. It has a rave mode.

Those are basically the same thing to me. I skipped high school science more than I actually went.

[She's listening, though. Sound systems are cool.]

Shame. I barely remember high school science, it was so easy.

Dude, there's no way you're older than, like, twelve.

Fourteen, thank you. Been a year since I graduated.

I'll admit, action-wise it wasn't an interesting month.

Compared to the last place that kidnapped me, nothing here's been interesting. I kinda dig it that way.

Oh, were you somewhere else before this? Y'know, that wasn't home.

Yeah, this stupid soul-eating castle called Paradisa. I was there for three years.

... Is everyone here from Paradisa?

Nah, just me, Crowley, Felix... Ino...

[She's counting on her fingers.]

I don't know, probably more.

Alright, so just half the fleet.

Yeah basically.

[A considering little hum]

Not that I was really, like, friends with them there or anything. Just Felix.

I haven't met Felix myself. Don't really care to meet Crowley. Allen's a friend, though, and... I wouldn't be here without Ino.

[delincuente]

Yeah? She seems like the heroic, lifesaving type. Classic Ino.

[She still isn't sure how she feels about the girl, but she tries not to let that show.]

I forgot about Allen. Only time I've ever talked to him, he was working in our old host club.

A... host club..?

Yeah. A bunch of guys dress up in stupid outfits and flirt with all the girls. When I met him he was in, like, full-on leather.

... This is probably something he wouldn't want me to know.
