[it appears that the atroma is tired of one of its star ratings-grabbers not doing a damn thing. for the entire duration of april, hiro was fixing ships and running jobs for parts. for the month of may, he's been using those parts. he's currently working with black paint of some sort, with music playing from seemingly nowhere (looks like the sound system he kept talking about got completed).

[if you haven't sought him out, and you're not regularly training him, hiro's been completely radio silent while he's been working. in fact, he hasn't even answered text messages in a couple days.

[when he finishes coating the surface he's working on in the paint, he lowers the mask he's wearing and sighs, wiping (and smearing paint on) his forehead. he looks like a mess.

[but hey, at least he's alive!]

[Adra had seen Hiro's broadcast and was on the way to him as it stood--plate of food in hand--but he quickens his pace when he hears all the shouting. Teleports right beside Hiro, in fact, materializing as though from absolutely nowhere.]

Hey!

[He balances the plate (fresh blueberry muffin, sliced in half and buttered; a sadly basic but still tasty omelet) on one palm as he gestures wildly with his other hand, in a way that suggests 'What the hell'.]

Did I hear 'trash'? Did I hear mana-sucking?

[He glares into his own communicator.]

Did I hear what I thought I heard, Belthazar?

[He's thinking about exploding his communicator but it's not worth it.]

I-- I--

[And then Adra is there. His breath leaves him. He is in trouble and he has not been in this sort of trouble for a very long time. Since he got lectured about being so xenophobic, actually.

So not only is he chided, but he's embarrassed, because he's had this lecture before and it just kinda slipped out and--

Aaaaaaaand now he's throwing his communicator with a wordless scream of rage. He's gone months without a tantrum. It's time.]

[oh god hiro is jumping like 2 feet in the air and then hunching over and putting his own communicator to the side]

I'm sorry! It was an example of what not to do!

[Oh, for fuck's sake. Adra wants to go after Bel immediately, but Hiro's right in front of him. Best to start at the beginning. He rubs his temple, and exhales slowly. His tone softens.]

Don't cower. It's all right. Just--tell me how this got started, please.

[He holds out half of a buttered muffin.]

Oh. Eat this, first.

[muffin??? muffin. yes.]

Uh--thanks. Sorry... We were just kind of poking fun at each other when he said something mean about humans. It's not like it bothered me, but there are scarier humans in the fleet than me, you know?

[he takes a bite of the muffin...]

... Didn't think it'd be pretty if he said it to the wrong guy. Just from experience.

[He offers Hiro the rest of the plate. Egg and more muffin.]

[Oh, Bel. So full of feelings. Adrasteius shakes his head.]

I'd already be running after him if I thought he wasn't okay. As it stands, I've learned that sometimes it's best just to let a person be upset for a while.

[rubbing the back of his neck a bit as he finishes up the food. kid really wolfed that down.]

[Adra shuts one eye. There's a pop of magic, and another fresh muffin appears right in his palm.]
