[When she turns on the video, she's wearing a low-slung black and white top that clearly reveals the gnarled, dark scar that slashes across her neck, her second smile. She's showing it off, proving that she's not someone to mess with. That she isn't afraid.]

[After Lila's broadcast, Elena doesn't exactly try looking for her. (To be honest, Lila seems like the kind of girl who wouldn't hesitate to chew up anyone and spit them back out.) But the hospitality deck is only so big and there's only so many places either one of them can go. Elena offers the other girl a weak, thin smile.]

I've been trying to find a way out of this part of the ship, but it doesn't look like there is one. At least not an easy one I can fit into.

[She sniffs, wrinkling her nose. The ship doesn't matter to her so much; being in close proximity to other people, now, that matters. The more information she can gather, the better.]

[That means nothing to Cassandra. If it wasn't obvious they're from different worlds, it certainly is very apparent now.]

[Whatever "this" is, exactly. Elena's still a little skeptical, but there's not a whole lot of evidence to the contrary.]

[Kind of a ridiculous question, because Lila doesn't trust Elena. But she trusts people she can't see and touch and hurt even less. People you can't hurt can't be held accountable.]

That's kinda a stupid thing to lie about, don't you think?

[So Lila has some trust issues. Elena's sure that can't possibly go horribly wrong at some point. By which, of course, she is fully prepared for something horribly wrong to happen at some point because of these very blatant and apparent trust issues.]

[She makes a noncommittal noise. It doesn't seem stupid to her. Prisoners being transported from one place to another? She wouldn't trust information about that if it came on a silver platter. But whatever, Elena can be naive if she wants to be.]
