Who: Barry Allen + You
Broadcast: Video, Fleetwide
Action: The Marsiva
When: May 8, 2017

[Passengers on the may have gotten brushed past by a burst of wind and a flash of red and gold lightning earlier in the day, but Barry isn’t stopping for anyone, unfortunately. As wide and expansive as the ship is, there isn’t really enough room for him to build up enough speed to do anything, and he doesn’t know what it is that Savitar did, but he can’t be stuck here. Not with what’s coming. Not with what he just saw.

But eventually in futility comes acceptance, and he decides that if he’s going to be stuck here, he might as well play along. The young man that appears on the screen looks flustered and disoriented from the get go, a clear expression of confusion and needing to be anywhere but here, larger problems weighing on his shoulders than there should be. He certainly doesn’t look happy to be here, but he’s trying to pull it together, if for no other reason than it’s clear he’s being watched.]

So, hey everybody. I’m Barry. I’m … new, I guess. I’m from Central City, if that means anything to anyone, and at home, I work – or worked – for the CCPD as a CSI.

[There’s a moment as he tries to figure out what to say next, before his eyes close and he loses it. To be fair, he lasted at least two minutes longer than he thought he would.]

Okay, wait, I can’t do this. Seriously? We’re stuck on some kind of space reality TV show and I’m just supposed to play nice and do whatever? No, I’m sorry, that’s a load of … crap.

[The frustrated way the word is forced out indicates that there’s another thing he really wanted to say there, but, you know, he’s on TV. And he doesn’t use those words. Usually.]

I never agreed to be a part of this, I didn’t sign a release or a contract or anything like that, so I want to go home. Now. Or I’ll force my way out.

[Barry … don’t do that. Please don’t be that dumb. And with that the transmission will just end because that is enough of that.]

Who: Iris West and YOU!!
Broadcast: Yes!
Action: If you're on the Marsiva, sure
When: May 4th

[ Two whole days later, Iris still can't believe she's actually in outer space. The view outside the Marsiva hasn't done anything to dissuade the notion, either. Part of her desperately wishes she could disembark and explore this star system: it would be the story of a lifetime, and more importantly, it would be a story she would've uncovered all by herself.

Exploring the hospitality deck hasn't answered many questions, so she's taken to sitting in the cafeteria with a trusty mug of coffee. Turns out, it's a good place to sit and think - as well as a good place to scroll through the Network and see what other people're saying.

So far, she's drawn a few conclusions: 1) there's a whole fleet of ships surrounding the Marsiva, 2) not everyone's from Earth - or a planet like it, and 3) they're here as part of a reality show?? That last one's pretty hard to believe. (Who'd watch someone write and edit?) Instead of asking her fellow captives the hows and whys, she figures she's better off asking them something else: ]

How many of you know the game 'Questions?'

It's a pretty simple game back on Earth: I pose a question, and you can only answer me with a question of your own. The first one to forget a question "loses." To make things easier on everyone, I won't instate any additional rules.

To start us off: Were you familiar with outer space travel before you arrived here?

Broadcast: Yes
Action: Yes (on the hospitality deck of the Marsiva)
When: Now

[ Elena wakes with a start, her first thought being that she'd fallen asleep in one of the unused patient rooms. She rubs her arms with her hands, an attempt to chase away the chill and gives the room a good look. This isn't any room in the hospital. She puts her feet on the ground and stands. She's still dressed in the long-sleeved thermal top and blue scrubs she wears at work. She tucks a strand of her dark hair behind one ear.

Once she orients herself and does a little bit of exploring, she heads to one of the screens to browse the network and get a better grasp of this place. After that's done, she makes her own broadcast, giving the video screen a sheepish smile. ]

Hi, I'm Elena Gilbert. I just arrived and I've got no idea what to say here. Am I supposed to tell the class all about myself? I think I used to be good at this. [ She takes a deep breath then releases it. ] Whatever this is. I can honestly say this is my first time on a reality show though.

[Elena's been in and out of it all day. Which is odd because Elena hasn't been this sick in... Well, not since she was human. But she feels miserable, definitely running a temperature with a runny nose, sore throat, and sore muscles. Sleeping has felt like the best option and she's grabbed at it as much as she can without trying to do much of anything. Which may not be the best idea given, you know, she's a vampire and not supposed to be able to get sick.]

[So, she manages to drag her tired and sore little butt out of bed--not bothering to change out of her pjs and just throwing on a robe--and slink her way down to the lab on her ship. Slowly. Eventually.]

[She has to sit down on a stool, leaning on a counter, and pulls out her communicator to ask a question first.]

So for the people who have been getting sick, what's worked for dealing with the symptoms? The usual stuff for a cold or...?

Who: Suzie and you!
Broadcast: Fleetwide!
Action: For the Bloodsport, if you're around!
When: The wee hours of morning on Saturday, January 2

[You know what is the absolute worst? Going to bed feeling reasonably fine and waking up in the middle of the night with a stuffed-up nose, a mild headache, and the beginnings of a raised temperature. It makes it all but impossible to sleep, despite being tired and feeling generally run-down, and in Suzie's experience, the worst part about feeling sick is when you're just lying in bed with nothing to think about but being sick, and no distraction to help take some of the melancholy edge off of the malaise.

So instead, she gets up and wanders down to some empty workspace down in the ship's docking bay, and sets up shop near the shuttles with some tools and a pair of rolled-up sleeves on her utility jumper.

For a little while, she just putters around, testing the knowledge her augment has imparted to her against the tangible workings of the shuttle in front of her, and later when she's had her fill of that she plunks down and starts playing with odds and ends of the spare parts they have lying around, cobbling for the sake of cobbling rather than with any particular goal in mind.

Eventually, though, she reaches for her communicator, and it's shortly thereafter that a broadcast ends up hitting the network.]

I don't remember what day I got here. ε-(≖.≖﹆✿)

I think it was November here, when I came? It was before we got to the planet, so I think it's been about a month. Or so? I don't know. Do you think it's important to remember the day you arrived? Maybe I should get a calendar, when I remember the day, and keep it in my bunk so I can mark off each day when it's done and keep count. Or would that be too discouraging? Maybe if it were a pretty calendar, like the lithographed ones with the little scenes of people and birds and flowers. That's the problem with space, everything's metal and machines and not enough warm sun and shade and green things growing.

I like the planet, though. I miss Venezia more but the fresh air is nice even if it's cold. Everything is salt, though, isn't that funny? I hope someday we find a planet where everything is flowers. Except maybe that would be sad, too, because then someday we'd have to leave it, and I bet I wouldn't want to.

I wonder what other kinds of planets there are. What's the best one you could possibly imagine? I like the flower one...and I'd like one with canals and gondolas too. And someplace with real food instead of the ship mush. If we could go to someplace like that...

Haha, I'm being so silly. I should be asleep but I'm just sitting here talking about nothing at all! Maybe in a little while I'll go try again. (-﹏-。✿)

[But, for those on the Bloodsport, you can still find her tinkering down there for a little while afterward, before she eventually rambles back down to her bunk in a halfhearted attempt to fall asleep again.]

For one, he's in space, on a spaceship, something he didn't realize was possible until about fifteen minutes ago. He wandered around a bit, trying to find his friends, his professors, his bloody castle.

Bit of a ridiculous stretch for a beginning of the year prank, yeah?

[He almost sounds hopeful, but James isn't stupid, and he at least has the common decency to avoid the stupid questions ("How are we not suffocating in space?" "How can I fly this thing?"), instead focusing on the completely asinine.]

I hope one of you is open to forging a letter of absence to a one Professor Minerva McGonagall. Make sure it includes that it is definitely not James Potter's fault -- quote that bit -- and that I valiantly resisted any attempted kidnappings with bravery.

But the fact that Syeira helped her into a bathing suit (they sent her a ruffly one piece and thankfully a pareo to cover her legs) and her chair is parked on a bit of grass near the beach-- she can't imagine a more beautiful scene]

Good afternoon. [she smiles warmly, focusing her full attention on the camera once more] I spoke to someone months ago, and we both tried to imagine what planet would be the most wonderful to visit. He imagined a planet very much like this one, although with perhaps a bit more entertainment. But the beach is just as he described... I've never seen one quite like it before, it's beautiful.

And since you've been here, have you seen anything like home?

[And since she doesn't really expect to be able to ask and not give an answer herself,]

My world's nothing all that special probably in comparison to some of yours. It's 2012, Earth, with modern-day technology that's nowhere near as advanced as all of this. I live in Mystic Falls, Virginia in a country called the United States.

We do have magic, but I can't do any of it. I only know about it because my best friend was a witch. [And it's invaded every part of her life for the past couple of years, but ssshhh.] Magic where I come from has a balance, it's rooted in nature and spirits of ancestors. So the further down the line of witches you are, the more power you can have. But you have to maintain the balance of nature or the spirits of your ancestors will cut you off.

There are other kinds of magic, but they're bad news and not something you want to mess with. It has some really bad consequences for the user since it ignores maintaining the balance.

[And she leaves it there. She's not willing to out herself as a vampire or acknowledge the existence of other supernatural beings beyond witches and spirits.]
