Who: Elena Gilbert + you!
Broadcast: Video
Action: Starstruck if you want
When: now!!!
I was told that these augments [she gestures to her own and feels a little stupid for doing so because everybody knows what she's talking about (hopefully)] can alter memories. Does anybody have any more specific information on that?
Like how far back in your memory can it reach? How much can it change? How long does it last?
[...You know. Asking for a friend.]

Can they really do that?

From what I've been told. I haven't experienced it myself. [A beat.] I don't think anyway...
[She's super unsure.]

Have you noticed anything odd lately?

I don't know about the augments, but I have some experience with losing memories.

As far as I am aware, we do not have a definitive answer. Some people seem to have forgotten large swaths of time, while others just have a hard time remembering people that they've met in the last few years.

[...] Do you know someone who is missing their memories?

I'm not sure about the augments specifically, but if you've got a false memory somewhere, something else'll eventually contradict it.

[He's already flipping his diary, checking newer entries in case this is something he should be up and up on.]
I'm a strange case in that someone decided to fill in all the gaps for me, but if you've lost your memories, they're usually triggered by doing something similar to them.

Worked pretty well the second time around. But that might be specific to the Numbered.
[There's a small, hesitant pause:] You're sure the missing memories are specific to you? Or that you haven't experienced them yet to begin with?
no subject
I know they're specific to me, but I don't know a whole lot beyond that yet.
