I was told that these augments [she gestures to her own and feels a little stupid for doing so because everybody knows what she's talking about (hopefully)] can alter memories. Does anybody have any more specific information on that?

Like how far back in your memory can it reach? How much can it change? How long does it last?

That happened with me, here. A girl here, Ino, said she met me somewhere else. It's weird. I don't really like it, but I guess there are a lot of possibilities. It doesn't necessarily mean your memories got screwed up.

She met someone who died, too.

[Because "ghost or..." is actually viable where Elena is from. It's the whole not being super dead thing that's new.]

No. These sorts of places... do things. I can't explain it, but people who died come and are still alive.

[She's doesn't like the idea that someone could just...blip back out of existence like that. But what other alternative is there? It's not like there's anywhere for them to go. They're dead and gone in their own worlds, so it's either back to...wherever people actually go when they die or to another place like this. She doesn't honestly know which would hurt more for the people who were left behind.]
