Who: Elena Gilbert + You
Broadcast: Text
Action: Starstruck
When: rite meow!!
[Elena's been in and out of it all day. Which is odd because Elena hasn't been this sick in... Well, not since she was human. But she feels miserable, definitely running a temperature with a runny nose, sore throat, and sore muscles. Sleeping has felt like the best option and she's grabbed at it as much as she can without trying to do much of anything. Which may not be the best idea given, you know, she's a vampire and not supposed to be able to get sick.]
[So, she manages to drag her tired and sore little butt out of bed--not bothering to change out of her pjs and just throwing on a robe--and slink her way down to the lab on her ship. Slowly. Eventually.]
[She has to sit down on a stool, leaning on a counter, and pulls out her communicator to ask a question first.]
So for the people who have been getting sick, what's worked for dealing with the symptoms? The usual stuff for a cold or...?
[Not that there's any guarantee it will work for her just as well as anyone else, but it's worth a shot.]

Where are you?
no subject
[It'd spread hard and fast. Hell, it could even wipe them all out if a freaking vampire can catch it.]
I'm in the lab on the Starstruck.

On my way over.
[And sure enough, Jennifer was soon on the Starstruck, looking around for the lab, as she'd never been on it before.]

Hey...
[Sore throat? Check.]

[Elena smiles, but it's definitely a tired one.]

Have you been here this whole time? And more importantly, do you have a localized plague I should know about?

[Sorta. She's not really a doctor yet per se, but you know. Technicalities.]

I've got extra, so I can pop over later.
["can" probably meaning "will." This one may not take no for an answer.]

Give me about twenty and I'll be over ASAP.
[It takes him more like twenty five minutes, but Stefan heads over to the lab with a big paper bag full of stuff. He figured, from seeing the network post, that she's got the cure, but he's got more than enough for weathering out a nasty bug.]
Hey.

[Elena offers him a weak smile. She hasn't moved from where she sat down in the lab and has zero intention of potentially ever moving again at this rate.]

So I brought along my foolproof "get better" sack. Had to improvise a little, since the planet doesn't exactly have everything... but I've got tea, hot chocolate, puzzles, cough drops, and extra salted caramels.
[And because he kind of goofed - and doesn't want to mention he goofed - a big bowl of noodle soup. He didn't even try to ask what meat this planet used.]

You're a lifesaver, Stefan.
[He's just going to have to settle for that.]

[Her smile's more than enough. Which sounds kinda dumb, even in his head, but he missed hanging out with her. He'll also bring out the cough drops and the packets of hot cocoa, along with a few small bags of salted caramels.]
But I'll admit, if even vampires can get this, it must be pretty powerful. [His inner science nerd's almost tingling to get it himself. He can take his own blood sample, nbd]

It's a little scary. [Elena turns her head away to cough into the crook of her elbow. Yeah, she's reaching for those cough drops now.] But I don't think it's been any worse for non-vampires.
