Who: Nancy Wheeler + you
Broadcast: yes
Action: heron, if you're so inclined
When: current
So if anyone needs or wants water guns, we have tons on the Heron.
and
it'll sound weird but if you ever heard of other places, worlds.
I don't mean this one.
If you've ever heard about one or been to one that looks like yours but isn't then, well.
I'd like to talk.

I mean, I can answer some too.
If they'd want that. It's only fair.

[SWITCHING GEARS,]
How do you like the Heron?
no subject
I mean, people are nice.
They don't really treat me like a kid.
no subject
Do you get treated like a kid a lot? You don't like that?

I guess Atroma thought it was funny. I'm security, here.
They probably thought it was a joke, a security officer with water guns.
[ she doesn't see the humor, herself. ]

Oh! Stefan mentioned the sponsor gifts and that they were sometimes absurd.
[ Elena can actually see the humor in it. ]
I guess it's time to plan a water fight.
no subject
I mean, yeah. we can use those and do that when we land and have some open space.

Hence, the water guns.
Right, I guess it might be a little messier than it's worth on the ship.

She's.
She's trapped in one.
[ she hates talking about it but she doubts anyone will tell her anything unless they know how important this is for her and why. ]
no subject
She's reticent to talk about such things, but that is a damn good reason that hits close to home.]
What sort of world is it? Do you know how she got trapped there?
no subject
Sort of like a negative of a picture, you know? darker. weirder.
My friend got taken there by something. I need to bring her home.
[ it doesn't matter that barb is dead. nancy won't leave here to rot in the upside down. ]

Most worlds are made up of multiple layers stacked together. Land of the living, land of the dead, land of spirits, land of dreams. They're all twisted reflections of the same place.
The barriers between then are sturdy but paper thin-- you can breach them if you know how. It's not wise. Denizens of one land can't survive long in some of the others. But if you know the rules that make it, you can find a way in and hope you're fast.
A safer way would be to find someone with experience there who can bargain on your behalf. Is that an option?
