[when the video feed flickers on, Nunnally waves. She glances away from the video to survey the scene before her... Such a beautiful beach, a beautiful planet. Her augment is malfunctioning and is partially to blame for her good mood... But the fact that Syeira helped her into a bathing suit (they sent her a ruffly one piece and thankfully a pareo to cover her legs) and her chair is parked on a bit of grass near the beach-- she can't imagine a more beautiful scene]

Good afternoon. [she smiles warmly, focusing her full attention on the camera once more] I spoke to someone months ago, and we both tried to imagine what planet would be the most wonderful to visit. He imagined a planet very much like this one, although with perhaps a bit more entertainment. But the beach is just as he described... I've never seen one quite like it before, it's beautiful.

[her smile looks vaguely fond and wistful for a moment, before she continues] I do hope that everyone else has been able to enjoy the beach while we were here? It's beautiful... and not only that, but the people who live here are wonderful. [she can't hide the passion in her voice]

Their sense of community, working together... they're almost like one large family. They were even kind enough to teach me some of their crafts. [ah, but she doesn't go into detail about that, although she's excited about some of the things that she's making :3]

Mm... has everyone else had a pleasant time? Please, if it isn't too much trouble I'd be delighted to hear about your favorite thing that you've done here.

[or, if in person interaction is more your thing, feel free to come hang with her at the beach :3 she'll be there until sunset... it would be too beautiful to miss out on]

It might sound a little lame, but I've enjoyed just being able to lay out in the sun for a while every day. It always seems like the middle of the night on the ships.

It does, doesn't it? [the lights help, but just being near natural sunshine is a blessing. ah...]

Loads of it. At regular intervals.

[She technically doesn't have to being a vampire and all. She's got her daylight ring, so the sun can't hurt her at all. But she's keeping up appearances and it feels normal to do anyway.]

Me too. It's funny, the girls at my school always complained about how oily their skin felt when they had to use sunscreen. Perhaps you can be the judge I was looking for.

[she clears her throat in a joking way, she's trying to ask it in a playfully ~dramatic fashion~] Is the sunscreen here better than that on earth, or were the girls at my school prone to whining?

Hm... [Elena seems to playfully consider her arm for a moment before nodding.] Definitely whiners. It seems about the same to me.

[she laughs, happy that Elena is playing along :')]

Maybe you've had your own experiences with girls like that? [she's trying to pin down Elena's age. She doesn't seem old per say, but there's a certain confidence that she carries with her that makes her seem not quite like a teenager]

[She will never age past the age of eighteen, but Elena is twenty, technically speaking.]

A few, but I never let that get in the way of good friendships.

Do you travel to beaches often?

The temple is right by the beach, so yes, I'd say so.

The storms here really are something else, however.

Have you managed to avoid those so far?

No, unfortunately. [insert eyeroll here] I was quite thankful for the various caves dotted about the island.

[but you had a question, didn't you?] The view under the waves is certainly something to see.

[hehe, she can't help but giggle softly at the idea of hiding in the caves. She's been so cautious about venturing to the beach that she's avoided that so far] Mm, getting trapped in a cave during a thundering storm... it sounds like something from a film!

[ah! but she is instantly taken with the mental image of being under the water] You mean, when you were swimming?

[Stefan was already planet-side when he catches her broadcast - so he figures, rather than replying to it with his comm device, he's going to answer it the old fashioned way (read: in person, with two lemonade a he acquired from one of the numerous stands).

He's wearing a loose white linen shirt along with his trunks when he approaches her with a smile.] Hey. Looks like you're enjoying yourself.

[ah! She straightens up in her wheelchair at the chance of company, and she's always had a good ear for voices. She quickly remembers this is the man she had such a pleasant conversation with before! she waves, and giggles slightly]

I know my rambling is not very becoming, but I can't help it. This planet is just so lovely...

[she eyes the lemonade curiously. She wouldn't be rude enough to ask outright if he brought that to share, but it does look tasty.] Have you been having a good time too?

[For a second, he almost stares at the wheelchair - he had no idea that she needed one, not from the video feed - before he recovers with a smile.]

There're worse things to ramble about. [Stefan doesn't particularly want to admit that he's not great at responding to the network - the feeds? - so he changes the subject.] I've been doing okay. Working, mostly.

My favorite thing on this planet, though? Their lemonade. [He holds out the drink for her.] Here. I figured you could use one.

[She notices the look, but it doesn't show on her face. Everyone looks, it's how they handle the next few moments that matter to her. And he just... carries on, not even saying a thing. She can't help but smile a little more, although she doesn't mention why. And then her smile turns more playful at the offer of lemonade! She happily accepts the offer, her glitching augment allowing her to forget her manners.]

Thank you! And it's the best thing on the planet? I'll be sure to savor every sip. [she's only half kidding. As she takes a small sip she makes sure to show her enjoyment on her face and let's out a small "mm" noise of contentment.]

May I ask what you've been working on? Ship business... or odd jobs for the locals?

[Of course he wouldn't make a fuss out of it. The Fleet's got technology advanced enough to cure basic injuries - and he doesn't see a cast, so he figures whatever she has is serious. Serious enough that his fussing wouldn't make a difference.

He laughs at her contentment, allowing himself a sip of his own drink. Mm, the lemonade's never gonna get old.] No problem.

A bit of both, actually. [He was more involved in caring for the sick, earlier in the month, but he doesn't want to dwell on that at the moment.] I'm trying to stockpile fish for our ship, but you kind of need a job to get good fish and other things. So it wasn't a hard choice to make.

That's a very good idea. Meat and real food can certainly be welcome during the weeks spent in space. [she hums a bit and looks up at the sky for a moment. Maybe she should find some fish, she thinks she knows some people... she'd have to remember to do that before they left. Ah, but she turns her focus back to the topic on hand.]

It sounds like your ship is very lucky to have you looking out for them! It's hard work to be a provider for others, but very admirable work.

[Although Wanda had been enjoying her time on the beach during the day, it was truly a breathtaking experience to be on it at sunset. She'd spent her day a little differently, exploring the vendors in town, but she still wanted to visit the beach again before turning in for the night. When she arrived, she noticed a young woman in a wheelchair taking in the beautiful view as well. She approached the young woman, doing her best not to disturb her. Only speaking up when she was close by.]

Would you mind if I joined you?

[ah, Nunnally looks surprised as Wanda approaches. She prides herself of being aware of footsteps, aware of her surroundings... But she was so lost in thought that she didn't even notice the other woman approach. But she quickly regains her composure and shakes her head]

Not at all. In fact, I'd love the company. [she smiles warmly]

My name is Nunnally. May I ask yours?

[Wanda returns the smile, giving a small but still warm one of her own.]

Wanda. It is nice to meet you.

Have you been enjoying the beach?

[blindoptimism]

Very much. [she closes her eyes for a brief moment to take a deep breath of the ocean air]

I've never been to the beach before. And I feel so lucky that my first experience was so picturesque.

[Wanda's smile grows a little warmer as she shares in this similar experience with the young girl.]

This is my first time visiting a beach like this too.

[Her gaze shifts back to the sunset on the ocean's horizon.]

It is indeed beautiful.

Really? [she steeples her fingers and looks pleased. Everyone else has seemed... Well, impressed with the view, but it wasn't their first time. The shared moment does feel nice]
