[when the video feed flickers on, Nunnally waves. She glances away from the video to survey the scene before her... Such a beautiful beach, a beautiful planet. Her augment is malfunctioning and is partially to blame for her good mood... But the fact that Syeira helped her into a bathing suit (they sent her a ruffly one piece and thankfully a pareo to cover her legs) and her chair is parked on a bit of grass near the beach-- she can't imagine a more beautiful scene]

Good afternoon. [she smiles warmly, focusing her full attention on the camera once more] I spoke to someone months ago, and we both tried to imagine what planet would be the most wonderful to visit. He imagined a planet very much like this one, although with perhaps a bit more entertainment. But the beach is just as he described... I've never seen one quite like it before, it's beautiful.

[her smile looks vaguely fond and wistful for a moment, before she continues] I do hope that everyone else has been able to enjoy the beach while we were here? It's beautiful... and not only that, but the people who live here are wonderful. [she can't hide the passion in her voice]

Their sense of community, working together... they're almost like one large family. They were even kind enough to teach me some of their crafts. [ah, but she doesn't go into detail about that, although she's excited about some of the things that she's making :3]

Mm... has everyone else had a pleasant time? Please, if it isn't too much trouble I'd be delighted to hear about your favorite thing that you've done here.

[or, if in person interaction is more your thing, feel free to come hang with her at the beach :3 she'll be there until sunset... it would be too beautiful to miss out on]

Do you travel to beaches often?

The temple is right by the beach, so yes, I'd say so.

The storms here really are something else, however.

Ah, yes. [those are the major downside]

Have you managed to avoid those so far?

No, unfortunately. [insert eyeroll here] I was quite thankful for the various caves dotted about the island.

[but you had a question, didn't you?] The view under the waves is certainly something to see.

[hehe, she can't help but giggle softly at the idea of hiding in the caves. She's been so cautious about venturing to the beach that she's avoided that so far] Mm, getting trapped in a cave during a thundering storm... it sounds like something from a film!

[ah! but she is instantly taken with the mental image of being under the water] You mean, when you were swimming?

[stickupherforehead]

[maybe a very boring film. Needs more background music and drama.]

Oh no, we took one of the shuttles down. I was pleasantly surprised that a space-faring vessel would also be built to go underwater.

Really? [woah...] I had no idea that shuttles could be used that way.

[she falls quiet for a moment, scheming... she wonders if she could get anyone on the Red Fish to take her before they leave? Maybe...]

What sort of fish did you see?

You should try it for yourself. The diversity here is almost nonexistent, compared to the sheer amount of different species they have underwater.

[very tropical, much coral] There was a school of extremely colorful fish that kept swimming around the shuttle. They didn't seem at all afraid of us.

Such brave little fish! If the situation were reversed I'd probably be quite frightened.

[hmmm] I think I will try, thank you very much for the recommendation--

Ah, I have not even introduced myself yet. My name is Nunnally. May I ask your name?

I'm Pearl. I am actually fairly new here. [first planet, after all] Have you been here long?

[blindoptimism]

Yes. It's been nine months now, I believe.

[It's hard to count when you disappeared for a month and a half. But, details...]

I always think that I'll grow used to this place, but somehow it always seems to bring new surprises. That is both a blessing and a curse, I suppose. [buuuut she's rambling. So she cuts herself off and asks]

Even if your time has been brief, has the fleet been treating you well?

[stickupherforehead]

[man, nine months is forever in human years. Probably. Right?]

Well, I suppose it bodes well that you haven't lost your optimism. [most likely!]

And to answer your question, I would say so. It's surprising, but then again, I will admit the humans here are a bit different than the ones back home. Or - at the very least - have had a very different set of experiences.
