Action: Planet-side, on the beach!
When: 7/28 (backdated two days)
[when the video feed flickers on, Nunnally waves. She glances away from the video to survey the scene before her... Such a beautiful beach, a beautiful planet. Her augment is malfunctioning and is partially to blame for her good mood... But the fact that Syeira helped her into a bathing suit (they sent her a ruffly one piece and thankfully a pareo to cover her legs) and her chair is parked on a bit of grass near the beach-- she can't imagine a more beautiful scene]
Good afternoon. [she smiles warmly, focusing her full attention on the camera once more] I spoke to someone months ago, and we both tried to imagine what planet would be the most wonderful to visit. He imagined a planet very much like this one, although with perhaps a bit more entertainment. But the beach is just as he described... I've never seen one quite like it before, it's beautiful.
[her smile looks vaguely fond and wistful for a moment, before she continues] I do hope that everyone else has been able to enjoy the beach while we were here? It's beautiful... and not only that, but the people who live here are wonderful. [she can't hide the passion in her voice]
Their sense of community, working together... they're almost like one large family. They were even kind enough to teach me some of their crafts. [ah, but she doesn't go into detail about that, although she's excited about some of the things that she's making :3]
Mm... has everyone else had a pleasant time? Please, if it isn't too much trouble I'd be delighted to hear about your favorite thing that you've done here.
[or, if in person interaction is more your thing, feel free to come hang with her at the beach :3 she'll be there until sunset... it would be too beautiful to miss out on]

That's true. And if we become too fixated on home, it will only make it more difficult to find a way to take fate into our own hands while we're here. [she trails off, looking thoughtful for a moment]

In truth, many things about my home changed before I arrived here. Because of that when I think about it... Is it strange that such thoughts cause me to actually prefer the idea of a new life here? [she glances at the beautiful beach as she voices that idea, but then pauses... looking almost surprised at herself for voicing it at all

No, I don't think that's weird. My life's kinda crazy back home. Having the break from it... It's not all bad. I know it's not. But the bad parts can be really overwhelming at times.
Having the chance to breathe--even if it comes like this--is nice.

[she's curious, and she likes giving people chances to talk about what's on their minds. But she also doesn't want to pressure her... She knows that talking about home can sometimes be more pain than it's worth]

Normally, I'd say you probably wouldn't believe me, but I guess given where we are... [It makes the fantastical elements of her world seem not mundane, but certainly a lot less out there.] Where I come from, a lot of creatures people think are made up are real. Creatures like vampires and werewolves.
