Who: The crew of the SS TRAINWRECK STARSTRUCK AND YOU
Broadcast: Nope, it's a mingle!
Action: Starstruck
When: Late May, after this weekend's shuffle.
[HELLO, STARSTRUCK. It's been a while and our time on this planet is drawing to a close. Did you win enough things? Or go visit the planet? Well, it looks like we lost some crewmates to gain some so maybe we should get them all settled.]

[Which means that for her first day, Elena can be found poking her nose into essentially anywhere and everywhere throughout the ship. She'll apologize if she happens to run into anybody while she's exploring, regardless of whether or not they're actually members of the crew or not. She tries to be as inconspicuous as possible while she's in the kitchen, looking for the synthetic blood substitute. The last thing she wants to do is let anyone on the crew know she's a vampire so don't mind her if she's fiddling with a few things trying to find it.]
[Once she has a handle on the ship though, she can be found in the lab. For the most part, she's looking over what's in stock and tinkering with a few things in there. This augment thing still freaks her out, but she thinks it will hopefully prove useful. She thinks about drawing and storing some of her own blood for a long while, but ultimately decides against it. The hazards of if something goes wrong are a little too great. It's not worth it even in an emergency situation.]

Which is why, when he realizes they've lost and gained crew, he'll start checking the other locations to see who's where and what they're up to. He finds Elena in the lab and puts on his best friendly smile as he enters, waving to her. ]
Hello. My name is Zee.
no subject
Hi, I'm Elena. I'm new. [She makes a vague gesture to around the lab.] And I guess this is what I'm supposed to be doing around here.

So it's not difficult for her to notice the new younger woman wandering around the kitchen like she's trying hard not to be noticed. She's carefully maneuvering putting some stuff on the table before raising a brow. ]
You know, if you asked, I could tell you where everything is.
no subject
Sorry, I usually stay as far away from kitchens as possible. It's usually better for everyone's health, [she smiles, trying for at least a slight joke as she continues to debate about how much to say. Elena runs a hand through her hair before slipping both of her hands in her back pockets.] I, um, sorta have a particular dietary need. I was just seeing if we had any or if I was going to have to figure something else out.

It's only on the fourth trip inside that he actually notices her, stopping short and performing a clumsy shuffle of items that ends poorly. They scatter to the floor and he hastens to pluck them up, depositing them on the table before scurrying back to her, offering a hand to shake.]
New to the ship? Nice to meet you, welcome to the ship [he pulls back his hand as he speaks, waving it in a circle.] so on, so on. Are you the new lab folk? If you're not, ignore this. If you are [he drags the word out, pivoting back to his table covered in random plants and alien things.] I'm going to be over there. Working on something. Now, I'll keep out of your way but there is a strong possibility it might start to smell. I'll get some... incense or something to burn it away. Sound fair?
[He looks to her expectantly. Then remembers something. Offers his hand again.]
Ah. Right. I'm Mattias! Your possible crewmate. [A beat. He squints.] You are a crewman here, correct?
no subject
[Of course she immediately feels like she's overstepping her boundaries by thinking of it as hers, but it sorta is now, isn't it? As far as she knows, she's the only person on board with a lab augment. But she was hardly a pre-med student before she ended up here, still learning the vague ropes of what it'll take to become a doctor. It's like only being allowed to ride in the car in the backseat and suddenly being thrown in the driver's seat without any instruction on what to do.]
[She listens patiently as he rambles, figuring that she's not likely going to get a word in edgewise if he wasn't even close to entertaining conversation a moment ago when he was dragging things in here. Elena slowly puts her hand in his before shaking it. It's likely he'll notice she's got cold hands, but he may chalk that up to poor circulation.]
Yeah, my name is Elena. Do you work in here often?
[Which feels like an incredibly stupid and simple thing to say after all that, considering that she should probably say something about the mess he's made, but she just retracts her hand and tucks it back into place.]

oren | ota
[For the most part, Oren has been staying busy outside of the ship. He does pop in now and again, whether to bring this lovely toy on board and place it in the pilot's station, or to poke around the ship. Even still, this is first long visit back to the ship for the whole month, so for the newer members of the crew, his face is a new one.
When he walks in, he's sporting some modern clothing and a set of aviators. Despite, you know, the lack of sun. Once he enters the ship, it's a lot more difficult to see than it had been out on the station, and so he removes them, turning his attention to the first face he sees.
Whether he recognizes them or not, he's got a generally outgoing personality, and so he speaks up.]
Not a bad station, is it? So many fascinating choices for food in some of these areas. Would you believe I just saw a dish of a tentacle in a bowl?
Re: oren | ota
You don't say. It's probably a delicacy around here, hope you didn't turn your nose up at it. I'd hate to see who that would offend around here.
no subject
[He laughs, stepping across the room to set some of his things down at his locker.]
I wasn't so brave as to try it myself. And what about you? Have you indulged in the delicacies here?

kitchens, at breakfast!
I am severely under-qualified for this position.
no subject
That's not often something you'd admit, in your position.
[Oren smiles, teasing as he is, and gestures with a free hand in a casual sort of wave to brush it off.]
Those in charge don't seem to consider qualifications outside of your actual job on the ship. Do you suppose the choice was random? Well, it hardly matters. Welcome.
no subject
It must have been random -- I guess none of us are really qualified to captain a starship.
[ It's good to finally meet the rest of his crewmates. He feels like he's spent as much time on other people's ships as this one even though it hasn't been very long at all. He extends a hand to shake. ] My name is Zee.

Basically, it has been forty-two hours since Mattias has last eaten and the fact that it is breakfast when he finally buckles down and shoves food into his mouth with the rest of the crew is entirely coincidental. In fact, the pure act of being with the crew is entirely coincidental and extremely rare. Zee should be flattered.
Less flattered by the way Mattias is looking at him, utterly baffled with his fork raised halfway to his lips. For a long moment, he's quiet. The fork is placed back down on his plate. He straightens. Clears his throat.]
I'm sorry, are you lost? What position are you speaking of?

When she does come back in she's spent beyond her usual 'only as needed' amount of her ratings and came back with what edible food she could (or at least, as a chef, that she considers edible). As well as what few pots and pans she could in order to make it. And then spreads it out on the dinner table before moving to organize them into what place she can find. Someone is determined to have proper food on the ship, damn it. ]
Everyone, pick one meal you want. We'll see about making it here, otherwise I'll just invade the Huntress for their kitchen.
[ Chris and Cole would just have to deal. It's not like they (probably) wouldn't be trying to eat the food anyway. But that means talking to them to use their kitchen and she's almost at let's just not. But for now she'll focus on food, and only food. And cooking lots of it because when you're Piper Halliwell that is how you cope with discomfort. ]
...And I guess we should all do more introductions at some point, but I think we all probably want food more.
[ It's said lightly enough for her, and luckily that's just enough. No one here knows her well enough to be able to stare at her and ask what's up. And she's perfectly okay with that. ]
Wanda | ota
[Wanda's arrival on the Starstruck leaves her somewhat bemused by the whole "fanfare." She is currently in the process of brushing confetti off her clothes, as she surveys the inside of the Starstruck's bridge. She gazes around at the control consoles, looking for anything that somehow might look vaguely familiar. She eyes the "desserts" that were apparently prepared for her arrival, but doesn't actually eat of them. At some point, she supposes she'll have to eventually get used to the idea of eating "astronaut food," but it's definitely not at this moment.]
A.
[Feel free to come find Wanda on the bridge as she checks out all the various technological goodness it has to offer. In fact, you may even want to show up quickly, because she's probably going to start fiddling with the pilot controls. Naturally, she won't actually be able to take the ship out of any auto-pilot mode it may be set in. But there may be some sudden shakiness...]
B.
[After messing about on the bridge, Wanda can be found wandering the rest of the ship. Checking in on each of the different rooms, as she tries to get her bearings. She may even walk into a few rooms to explore various cubby holes and storage cabinets. She won't go rooting through anyone's personal items, should she stumble across any, but she is definitely being nosy.]
C.
[Once she has sufficiently explored the Starstruck's interior, Wanda will find her way back into the ship's kitchen. She's still not sure if she feels up for eating any of the "delicacies" that the ship has to offer, but she's definitely looking over and making a mental list of what is available. She eventually finds the cups, and will be experimenting with the dispenser's different beverage choices.]

[ Zeta doesn't know the girl standing at the pilot's console, but he's fairly certain that their pilot is in the kitchen. And the ship is shaking oddly. ]

With a gentle firmness, his hand claps over hers to stop any movements. Even still, his expression is fairly kind as he leans forward.]
I don't recall gaining another pilot. [It's a light dig, teasing more than anything, and he releases her hand quickly enough if she backs off of the controls.] You may want to be careful with those. They're more sensitive than you'd think.

He stops behind her and watches as she rifles through yet another cabinet. It's a futile effort and yet she seems determined.
