[HELLO, STARSTRUCK. It's been a while and our time on this planet is drawing to a close. Did you win enough things? Or go visit the planet? Well, it looks like we lost some crewmates to gain some so maybe we should get them all settled.]

Tactical support, where tactics means relating to or used for a specific plan that is created to achieve a particular goal in war, politics, etc. I've been told the fleet does battle sometimes.

[Well... that was a rather matter of fact definition. Wanda sort of cocks an eyebrow at this man, Zee.]

Right... so, I am to be fighting then?

[Her augment seemed to be very clear about the role she was to fill; yet, the specifics were still a little vague. She just assumed that it would inform her of her duties when they became necessary. Though, the idea of taking "orders" from some piece of alien technology implanted in her brain still bothered her. A lot.]

I think you're meant to give suggestions to the flight and weapons crew, if we wind up in battle. Not that we have a weapons crew... and I haven't seen a battle yet. I hope we don't have to fight.

[Wanda nods. This made sense, though she wasn't entirely sure what kind of advice she could give the flight crew. Especially after her little display of ineptitude with the ship's bridge controls. Additionally, the fact that they didn't have a weapons crew was a little distressing. It was beginning to seem like "tactical support" meant... entire defense force. Certainly a daunting thought, but at the same time... Wanda wasn't completely discouraged.]

So the fleet has seen combat, but you personally have not? How long have you been here?

Yes. I've been here approximately a month. I'm engineering... and captain, though I'm severely underqualified for that position.

Captain? You have been here only a month, and you are captain?

[Wanda makes a bit of a face, not sure whether to be impressed or worried.]

Our previous one left unexpectedly. The decision may have been random.

[ Be worried, Wanda. be worried. ]

Left? What do you mean left?

[She then briefly ponders the second part of Zeta's statement.]

Ranking positions are determined at random?

Er... she was simply gone a few days ago. And I seem to have been chosen randomly, yes, since none of us have any leadership experience.

[Wanda shakes her head in bewilderment. Though, to be fair, this made about as much sense as everything else that happened to her so far.]

I see. And do people just "leave" this place all the time? Or is this too at random?

[ Zeta shrugs, looking helpless for a moment. He has no idea how the arrivals and departures work and it's pretty obvious. ]

That also seems to be random.

[Wanda smirks slightly, but it is much more in frustration than actual enjoyment.]

I am beginning to sense a trend.

[She sighs loudly, looking about their surroundings once more.]

So what happens now?

As far as I can tell you just settle in as much as you can, learning to live with your crewmates. Meeting others in the fleet. We make stops every few weeks that can be interesting to explore.

And that is all? I was expecting something more... well, sinister. This all seems fairly mundane.

My stay so far has been mundane. I don't want to "jinx" it by saying so, though.

[ there's an accent on the word 'jinx' like it's not a term he uses often ]

[Again, Wanda catches the slight tick to Zeta's behavior, but does not give it too much thought now. Just something she makes an unconscious mental note of.]

Well... "captain" [She says the word with a slight, yet friendly smirk.] would you be willing to give me a tour of the ship?

[ he smiles, exceedingly friendly and innocent, like the quirk on captain makes him happy. ]

Of course. Follow me... it won't be a long tour.

[Wanda follows behind Zeta as they begin the tour of the Starstruck's various decks, rooms and amenities.]
