Who: The crew of the SS TRAINWRECK STARSTRUCK AND YOU
Broadcast: Nope, it's a mingle!
Action: Starstruck
When: Late May, after this weekend's shuffle.
[HELLO, STARSTRUCK. It's been a while and our time on this planet is drawing to a close. Did you win enough things? Or go visit the planet? Well, it looks like we lost some crewmates to gain some so maybe we should get them all settled.]

[HELLO, STARSTRUCK. It's been a while and our time on this planet is drawing to a close. Did you win enough things? Or go visit the planet? Well, it looks like we lost some crewmates to gain some so maybe we should get them all settled.]
Wanda | ota
[Wanda's arrival on the Starstruck leaves her somewhat bemused by the whole "fanfare." She is currently in the process of brushing confetti off her clothes, as she surveys the inside of the Starstruck's bridge. She gazes around at the control consoles, looking for anything that somehow might look vaguely familiar. She eyes the "desserts" that were apparently prepared for her arrival, but doesn't actually eat of them. At some point, she supposes she'll have to eventually get used to the idea of eating "astronaut food," but it's definitely not at this moment.]
A.
[Feel free to come find Wanda on the bridge as she checks out all the various technological goodness it has to offer. In fact, you may even want to show up quickly, because she's probably going to start fiddling with the pilot controls. Naturally, she won't actually be able to take the ship out of any auto-pilot mode it may be set in. But there may be some sudden shakiness...]
B.
[After messing about on the bridge, Wanda can be found wandering the rest of the ship. Checking in on each of the different rooms, as she tries to get her bearings. She may even walk into a few rooms to explore various cubby holes and storage cabinets. She won't go rooting through anyone's personal items, should she stumble across any, but she is definitely being nosy.]
C.
[Once she has sufficiently explored the Starstruck's interior, Wanda will find her way back into the ship's kitchen. She's still not sure if she feels up for eating any of the "delicacies" that the ship has to offer, but she's definitely looking over and making a mental list of what is available. She eventually finds the cups, and will be experimenting with the dispenser's different beverage choices.]

[ Zeta doesn't know the girl standing at the pilot's console, but he's fairly certain that their pilot is in the kitchen. And the ship is shaking oddly. ]
Are you a new arrival?
no subject
I am sorry. I was... curious. But yes, I was just assigned to this ship. My name is Wanda.
[She extends her hand in greeting.]
no subject
[ He smiles, taking her hand to shake. He feels cool but otherwise normal, with a comfortingly firm grip. ] Welcome to the Starstruck. My name is Zee.
no subject
Starstruck? That is the name of this ship?
no subject
no subject
I am... tactical support? I am not quite sure what exactly that means.

With a gentle firmness, his hand claps over hers to stop any movements. Even still, his expression is fairly kind as he leans forward.]
I don't recall gaining another pilot. [It's a light dig, teasing more than anything, and he releases her hand quickly enough if she backs off of the controls.] You may want to be careful with those. They're more sensitive than you'd think.
[He'd just... rather not swerve back into the side of the station or something.]
no subject
I am sorry. I will not touch them again.
[She watches him at the controls briefly, and can clearly see that he knows what he's doing. This must be how the augments worked, giving each of them the necessary knowledge to fulfill their designated roles.]
As you could obviously tell, I am not a new pilot. My name is Wanda, and I believe I am... tactical support?
[She phrases it like a question, because even to her the title is a little confusing. What does that even mean? Tactical support?]
no subject
[It's not an aggressive voice or even anything close, but it does ring in the air like a question she should think about. He's rather calm about pulling his hand back once hers is gone from things, stabilizing the ship and looking back to the radar.]
I do hope any tactics in your mind stray from ideas like that in the future. [He laughs, as if words like that are just a joke, and looks back to her.]
My name is Oren. Your pilot.
no subject
I was only trying to familiarize myself with the ship. That is all. At least I know now what buttons not to touch.
[She says it matter-of-factly, as if to prove that this was all for the best.]
no subject
Ah, then let's call it a lesson learned!
[Clapping his hands together once, he leaves them joined for a moment and looks around the room.] Have you taken a look around the ship in full, then?
no subject
No. Not yet. [She attempts to look down the hall leading out of the ship's bridge.] Is there a lot more to it?
no subject
Yeah, it doesn't get any less weird after a few months.
no subject
Good to know. [There's a brief pause before Wanda adds:] So what happens now?
b
He stops behind her and watches as she rifles through yet another cabinet. It's a futile effort and yet she seems determined. Either a sign that she was looking for something or was simply too clueless to realize her search was fruitless. Either way, it felt like an intrusion. Even if the cabinet only held cleaning supplies.]
Are you looking for something?
no subject
I am not looking for anything. I am just trying to figure out where everything is.
no subject
For a long moment, he says nothing. Then he flicks his wrist, motioning for her to stand.]
There's only cleaning supplies in there. We don't keep much in the small cabinets. There's not much use for them when we have the lockers. You're new?
[It's not really a question.]
no subject
Yes, I just arrived on this ship. The "Starstruck" I believe it is called? I am to be the tactical support officer. [A brief pause, before she asks:] You are... ?
no subject
[His gaze doesn't soften but something changes. A shift towards empathy. With an abrupt turn of his heel, he pivots, pointing down the hall towards the front of the ship.]
I'm on something of a vacation now, but I work in the bridge, usually. It's down there, large cabin at the front. You've probably been in it already. Not much storage in it, I'm afraid.
[A hint of mischief as he says that, the lightest smirk encroaching his lips.] Closer to us is the med lab. All sorts of things in there, but it's all what one would expect. Samples, bandages, medicines. Self-explanatory. Again—[Finally, he turns back to her. His expression has shifted completely. It's friendlier, teasing, almost.]—you've probably been in it.
So [he tucks his hands into his pockets, rocking back on his heels] what is it you were searching for? I'll give you a tour but it's rather pointless to lead you where you've already been.

He stops short to assess the woman poking about in there and feels oddly un-phased by the experience and deigns to offer her some friendly advice by way of greeting]
The number of times you press the button doesn't really improve the quality of what comes out of it, sadly.
no subject
I do not suppose there are any other drink options then?
no subject
Not on the ship, no. You might have better luck on whatever station or planet we are at.
no subject
We can leave this ship? Whenever we want?
no subject
[He gestures vaguely towards the shuttles and the empty void of space beyond, though they can see neither from in here]
We land at stations or planets occasionally, though how worthy they are of visit is up to you. The shuttles can also be taken to the other ships if you wish. Curious machines.
