VIDEO βΏ marsiva
Who: Alisaie Leveilleur
Broadcast: Fleetwide video
Action: Marsiva, hospitality deck
When: Current
[ A (surprisingly) tiny elf greets all who would come across this message in the most pleasant manner possible: by slamming her palms against the console and raising her voice. ]
How dare you! [ You possibly meaning the people behind her abduction though anyone is free to take offense. After all, it's a display for all to witness. ]
I bet you don't even have the gall to address me in-person! I swear to you, no matter what it takes, I will find the thieves responsible. [ Wait--thieves? Perhaps she's not so angry over being kidnapped as she is over something missing. Then again, hasn't she been stolen herself?
Alisaie, who has experienced loss so much over the span of her short life, can't bear to be without her grandfather's (second to) last gift to her. A grimoire that was half of one and yet fully operational as a focus on its own. After spending the past day searching for the highly-valued gift of sentiment, she's finally taken to addressing any who would listen. If Alphinaud were here, he would insist they could catch more flies with honey and perhaps she would have left this (all of this) to his expertise. Since she is seemingly without, her hand has been forced while she's not in the best of moods. ]
I would offer a reward for a hint but pray tell how I may compensate for aid when I am without my coin purse. [ Angry and cynical, what a good combination. Furthermore she won't waste anyone's time with trivialities or questions. That is knowledge she will discover on her own in due time.
For a moment, it appears as though the tantrum has concluded as she steps back from the console. No, something else sprung forth to mind and while she feels guilty he was not her first thought, he is now her primary one. Her gaze lowers towards the ground as her bangs fall over her eyes. There is one question she must ask no matter how painful the answer may be. She wills the courage within and speaks of it abruptly. ]
If you have seen a boy--[ They may be adults but Alphinaud will always be the little boy to her. ]--who shares my very image, I... [ would love to see him once more. The sentence never is completed, Alisaie growing more withdrawn as regret chews away at her.
Enjoy the emotional roller coaster today, viewers! ]

video;
I have not seen anyone fitting your description. [He pauses, and then adds:] Your ears are not nearly long enough to be someone from home.
video;
Your own are like the whiskers of a wild coeurl. [ She huffs up a bit in defense. ]
video;
At the very least, you are not the only elf here. There is myself-- obviously-- and my father, and Finrod, and there is Syeira too. The humans outnumber us but they are not too terrible in my experience. They may occasionally be loud or dirty but they are generally pleasant company.
video;
[ Perhaps if he would look up at the screen and address her, he'd see the confusion that's present in her voice is currently on display in her face as well. She hasn't met anyone that was loud or dirty yet, thank the Twelve for that honestly. ]
video;
I am speaking of people who look like us. Ears and magic and all. I am assuming you have magic, at least; all elves I've met have some form of it.
video;
Yes, of course. [ She has studied it in-depth throughout most of her youth in order to earn the pride of her grandfather. ] Your uncouth discrimination isn't welcomed.
[ Humans... they must be some race that isn't Elezen--or elves, according to this one. ]
video;
You— I wasn't trying to be discriminatory, I was trying to be inclusive! [His cheeks redden and then suddenly HIS MOUTH WON'T STOP. It does this sometimes.] Not all of us are used to spending time around humans especially after they've spent years trying to kill us so excuse me for pointing out a similarity we have in an attempt to make you feel even slightly welcome in this place!
video;
The remark about humans (which Alisaie has decided stood for Hyur while Elf stood for Elezen) trying to kill them... the depravity of man's lust for blood knew no bounds, did it? ]
You were hunted by these humans? How awful it must be for you to be confined in a place filled with them.
... yet you would do well to remember that they were brought here too against their own will.
video;
[Still, she managed to pick up on the fact that he's sort of a reformed elfist so he's still embarrassed. Plus he totally got schooled by someone who looks about his age. Alisaie carries herself in a way that makes her seem like nobility, and he can't help his ears flattening against his hair.]
... I apologize for my outburst.
video;
Ah, there is hardly need for any of that. [ As far as she's concerned, he didn't mean any harm by it so why hold it against him? Forgive and forget. ]
I'm not so simpleminded as to remain fixated on a mistake. Pray give me your name and that of your father as you have already named the remaining two... elves? [ That's the right word, wasn't it? ]
video;
Belthazar Spellscry, of the Bishop. Adrasteius is my father; he resides on the Bishop as well.
A-and you are?
[FUCK, HE STUTTERED, HE WAS DOING SO GOOD.]
video;
Alisaie Leveilleur, of the... [ Pause. ] What was the name of this vessel again?
[ Whether the fumble was intentional or not remains hard to distinguish as she looks thoughtfully off to the side. ]
video;
Marsiva. Everyone wakes up there until they're teleported onto one of the smaller ships.
[He pauses before deciding to impart some helpful advice (for once). She is an elf, and also a girl, and... well... she's pretty...]
If you don't like the ship you are assigned to, you can transfer to a different one.
video;
[ She wants to be home, not here. ]
Why would one transfer? Discord among the crew or--[ Alisaie pauses, looking him over thoughtfully. ]--to reunite with family?
video;
[He nods at that last part.] I haven't transferred before, but Adra did so he could be with me. Sometimes friends from the same world like to be near each other as well.
video;
This is good information to know. You have my thanks. [ Reaching over to grip her other arm, she stands there unsure of what to say next. Talking with others wasn't really her specialty unless she was gathering information and by now it seems the well of knowledge was endless. ]
How... old are you? [ A bit personal of a question to ask, but she's not sure what else to say. ]
video;
It's nothing.
[He's far from noticing her lack of social graces. His are far, far worse.]
About sixty in human years, but... elves age slowly on my world, so I am closer to seventeen.
[He looks twelve. He knows this.]
