[If Merrill is paying attention, it seems she's picked up a tail. How un-elfish.

Not that Hange is being all that subtle. She's just patiently following the elf woman, eying her facial tattoos and pointed ears with some curiosity. She's not trying to hide, so it'd be quite easy to turn around and catch her in the act.]

[ Sadly, Merrill isn't paying close enough attention to notice immediately, because everything here is quite distracting! When things aren't getting shoved in her face, other displays beckon to her with colors and strange smells.

It's only when she herself gets completely lost (and that doesn't take long) before she's turning around to see this one! ]

Hello! I seem to be lost. Do you know where the ships are docked?

[Sad... but fine with Hange, when all's said and done. She grins, undaunted, when Merrill faces at her.]

The waystations make big circles! You can't get too lost. If you just keep going, you'll end up back where you started.

But I do know where the ships are, if you'd like an escort back.

[ Leave it to Merrill. But how nice to bump into someone who knows these things! ]

That would be lovely! Ma serannas. I must look quite a mess wandering about like this, but the moon base was quite different! I'm Merrill, by the way.

[And, like the go-getter she is, she sets off, expecting Merrill to follow.]

I'm Zoe Hange, by the way. Call me Hange, that's fine!

Hange! Hange, yes. [ She needs to practice it, apparently. ] Good to meet you.

[ Looking bewildered a little as they walk because how could someone not know she was an elf? How??? ]

Are there no elves where you come from?

No! But I've met one other here! [Hange even walks energetically, with big strides at a fast pace. She's lagging at least a little bit if Merrill needs it, but clearly chugs along at military efficiency normally.] Little bit of a fellow, named Nel. He's got the pointy ears like you, but not your facial marks. Is there any particular significance to those? Sorry if I'm prying!

[ So energetic! It's a bit infectious, and she easily keeps up. Less military, perhaps more prancing and swaying. Even trying to walk like Isabela, she hasn't quite mastered it yet. ]

Not at all! These tattoos are a sign of the Dalish elves. They're a mark of adulthood. Nel wouldn't have them, as he isn't Dalish.

Poor child, you've met him, then? [At this rate they're going to make their way back to the ships quite quickly.] When did you get your tattoos? How old were you, I should say.
