THE MELTING POT. A Catchall.
Who: Jarvis! But also anyone at The Melting Pot! A Mingle!
Broadcast: N/A
Action: at the new cafe/bistro, on the Iskaulit.
When: May and June catch-all? Or something.

Feel free to make open and closed threads here! Or if you're looking for Jarvis, feel free to add that information in the subject line. If you'd like a character to come in and look for work, feel free, Jarvis may set them up with work! Likewise, those he told he would help learn to cook dishes can stop by, too.

Bonjour, monsieur! Are you interested in one of our wonderful meals today?
no subject
Okay...
Wow...
Just... need to process this for a moment. He leaned down to eye level and then got close.]
You look so real.
no subject
That's because I am real.
no subject
Wha-? I... I thought you were lik- ACK! I mean. I'm sorry!
no subject
No offence taken, monsieur. Would you like a meal?
no subject
[Keith had seen some weird things recently, but... yeah. This took the cake.]
You work here?
no subject
I do! This is the sort of work I love, I am very fortunate that monsieur Jarvis was hiring. Would you like to see a menu?
no subject
Yeah... that would help.
[He considered the place overall.]
So, uh... are you able to taste the food at all?
no subject
Sadly, I cannot. But I can give recommendations based on how people have found the food here.
no subject
Okay.
[He looked at it. The names were... actually kind of cute in a way. He glanced back at the candlestick.]
So, uh... what seems to be popular so far?
no subject

[He could understand the idea of trying something named after someone you knew, but Keith was pretty new to the Fleet, so he didn't know a lot of people. But was he in the mood for a particular type of meal or just anything?]
I'll try the pancakes. And whatever kind of juice you've got.
no subject
Of course! I will inform the chef immediately! Would you like to have anything to drink while you wait?
no subject
[He was also still trying to mentally process a talking candlestick...]
Uh... you need this back, right?
[He lowered the menu to Lumière's height.]
no subject
Merci beaucoup, I will be back with your drink shortly!
[He hopes off the table, bouncing onto a nearby counter to deposit the menu before scuttling off into the kitchen, surprisingly agile for someone without any actual legs. And shortly after, he returns, the juice on a little serving platter, which he balances on a candle hand the same way any waiter would with his hand. This is something he's very skilled at.
He hops back onto the table, raising the tray with a smile. ]
There you go, mon ami, one juice. Your food should be here shortly. Is there anything else you need?
no subject
Thanks.
No, I think I'm good right now.
[He glanced around to see how busy the place was.]
So... you seem to be handling this place pretty good, huh?
[Weird... because... candlestick.]
no subject
[He gives the closest approximation of a shrug someone without shoulders can manage. ]
It is good work. I am a Maítre d', back home, to a prince. Compared to that, this is easy.
no subject
I mean, you're kind of... small.
[Keith was trying really hard not to be insulting.]
no subject
[Ugh, he misses when he was like six five and towered over everyone. He REALLY misses that. ]
no subject
Wait... did you used to be... not a candle?
no subject
no subject
[Because, really... what was weird at this point?]
no subject
no subject
[Keith wasn't sure what to make of that, but he understood enough to know that it hard to be hard. And apparently, there were others, judging by the comment 'household' and the mention of someone else around the Fleet in a similar situation.]
That must have been a lot of people affected. [Keith tried to think this through a bit, vaguely remembering stories from when he was really little.] Is there a way to break the spell, then?
no subject
[Cogsworth manned the numbers, he just dealt with the fun. ]
Hmm. Our Master must fall in love, and be loved in return. There is a young woman in his life currently, things are hopeful.
