THE MELTING POT. A Catchall.
Who: Jarvis! But also anyone at The Melting Pot! A Mingle!
Broadcast: N/A
Action: at the new cafe/bistro, on the Iskaulit.
When: May and June catch-all? Or something.

Feel free to make open and closed threads here! Or if you're looking for Jarvis, feel free to add that information in the subject line. If you'd like a character to come in and look for work, feel free, Jarvis may set them up with work! Likewise, those he told he would help learn to cook dishes can stop by, too.

[Because, really... what was weird at this point?]

[Keith wasn't sure what to make of that, but he understood enough to know that it hard to be hard. And apparently, there were others, judging by the comment 'household' and the mention of someone else around the Fleet in a similar situation.]
That must have been a lot of people affected. [Keith tried to think this through a bit, vaguely remembering stories from when he was really little.] Is there a way to break the spell, then?

[Cogsworth manned the numbers, he just dealt with the fun. ]
Hmm. Our Master must fall in love, and be loved in return. There is a young woman in his life currently, things are hopeful.
no subject
Well, I hope it happens, then.

Merci beaucoup, as do I. If things do not go well with the lady, we may find someone here who can lift it. There are many talented with magic here.
no subject
[This should have been more surprising to Keith than it was. But, it wasn't. He was talking to a tabletop candelabra... how could others being talented in magic possibly be surprising?]
Well, I hope that someone can find something in case things don't work out.
[Being stuck as a piece of a furniture or decor didn't seem like a great thing to have happen.]
no subject
I hope so too, it may not be needed, but it cannot hurt to have a safety net, no?
no subject
I'd say so. A Plan B is always better to have than not.

[The thought had occurred to Keith a few times in relation to Shiro's arm. He wasn't sure just how much in the way of tactile response Shiro had. He seemed to have adapted really fast and used the arm really well, but how much of that was just muscle memory from not having to get used to using it differently and how much of it was him adapting to it?
He'd never actually thought to ask as he knew it was a very sensitive topic for his friend due to how he had ended up with the arm. That didn't stop him from being curious, though.]

[And that's what has to be done. Adapting. There's no other choice, other than sitting back and letting it all just drag you into despair. No one needs that. ]
no subject
That seems like an odd thing to miss... hiccups...
[He couldn't help but smile a little bit about it, though, since it seemed like Lumière was at least pretty upbeat about it. He wasn't letting it really get to him, which was good, he supposed.]
no subject
You would not think they were something you would miss. But trust me on this one, the sensation of them is very much felt when it is absent.
no subject
[Only after he started asking did Keith realize that this might be kind of rude... and potentially upsetting.]
no subject
Oh, no no. Not at all. I can understand why anyone would be curious about it. I am a very unusual case.
no subject
[Keith shrugged a little.]
I'm guessing you're all experiencing the same issues with not being human at the moment.
[He deftly avoided saying, "...anymore..." because, as they had discussed earlier, there was still a chance for the spell to be broken.]
no subject
[He nods, glad for that little omission. Metaphorical chins up and all that. ]
Oui. All the staff were turned into different... objects. Usually they echo our jobs or personalities.
no subject
I guess that's at least a little handy. It would be kind of awkward of you were so different that you couldn't do your job anymore, right?
[Which then made Keith wonder.]
What did you do in the household?
no subject
Exactement. We did not have as much do do as when the castle was bustling with life, but still-
I am the maítre d'. It is my job to see to the comforts and happiness of any guests that come to the castle. Be sure they are fed, content- that their every need it met. I am very good at it.

Oui. It is not exactly the same, but it is close enough. I'll take it for what it is.

[Keith smiled a little.]

He smiled a bit.]
Thanks.
[Honestly? He was kind of curious to see how this was going to work.]
