WHO The Huntress crew (& YOU?)
BROADCAST Non.
ACTION SS Huntress
WHEN May 24th and onward
[ Welcome to your regularly scheduled insanity, Elize! The ship is nice and rather upgraded, not to mention Shirley's valiant efforts to make it a bit more homey. With two demons, a fish-person prophet of the ocean, a former Templar and... Isabela, the crew is rather lively but somehow hasn't torn itself apart. Yet.
With all the things going on this month, a casino with great prizes and a magical forest, there's plenty of buzz and movement. But what is everyone up to during the downtime? ]

If anyone decides to see her later on in the week, the door to her personnel room will be open and she can be found testing all different kinds of colored pens, markers, and pencils on a piece of paper. It looks like she managed to buy some affordable drawing materials from a waystation with cheap products.
There isn't much to the room except for a painting of flowers hanging on the wall, given to her by Shirley. Next to it is Cole's drawing of... a large man with huge horns and an eyepatch, along with some odd markings. Some might recognize it's a drawing of the Iron Bull. Elize found a cheap frame to put it in and hang it up. ]

He looks up when Elize enters, partially hearing her and partially sensing her. It's kind of all the same thing to him. ]
Uh. Hi. Elize, right?
no subject
[ Good, he's one of the people she was hoping to find as soon as possible. Then she just takes a moment to stare at all that white until he greets her. ]
Yes. Hello again, Chris.
[ She greets him with a small nod and cracks the tiniest of shy smiles. And she's just going to jump straight to what she wants to tell him. ]
I'm... part of the Huntress now!
no subject
Really? [ Wait, no, that's not a good reaction. ] I mean—hey. Welcome. Glad to have you aboard. [ He pauses, tries wiping a hand on his pants which no Chris honey stop. ] I, uh, would shake your hand, but...

[ She doesn't really use formalities like that anyway.
As she watches him wipe off his hands with very little success, her smile turns into a small frown, thinking maybe it's wrong timing for her to tell him the news when he looks busy. ]
I'm so sorry for bothering you!

Elize? What's that you're doing?

I'm testing out these pens.
[ Lines of rainbows on her paper now... ]
There's so many colors!

[Or maybe Elize just likes it because it's all so pretty when put together. Shirley can definitely get behind that.]

[ She prefers making up songs and playing word games, but she does like to doodle every now and then. When your only friend was a stuffed animal for the longest time, she had to figure out other activities to pass time. ]
I didn't know ink could come in so many different colors. There's even pink!

And then he realizes the little tea set he got her is sitting RIGHT OUT IN THE OPEN Maker's breath don't mind him trying to obstruct her view by angling them just so.]
And how are you doing today?

Hey. Can we talk a little? Haven't seen you lately.

[Shirley hasn't been expecting the approach, but she's not about to turn Chris down. The feeling is mutual, really - nothing against the other members of the ship, but being shoved in a ship at the same time does tend to bring people together.]
Yes, of course. Do you want to have a seat?
no subject
So... How have you been doing lately?

She can be found among her prizes scattered around her room, looking rather pleased with her hoard. Aside from credits she now has a couple of cheap daggers. Nothing spectacular for anyone who knows their blades, but that doesn't stop her tending to them lovingly all the same, bringing the metal to a reflective shine with a well worn and possibly bloodstained rag. She has a laser knife to add to her arsenal now too. She has less love for this and less understanding, but she's interested in testing its capabilities too. Another touch from Thedas is the Wicked Grace cards she's won. She doesn't bother to hide she's stacking these for her next game. If anyone on board happens to be a future opponent she doesn't mind letting them shuffle. She has more than one way to cheat this game. She'd never have become so accomplished if she didn't.
There are also some clothes in among there, mostly "dresses" intended as lingerie, though fortunately there are some longer regular tops too much to the relief of... probably everyone. No pants though if anyone was hoping she might start wearing something besides boots on her legs any time soon.]

She quietly enters the room, but doesn't venture too far inside, sticking nearby the entrance hatch. She doesn't want to startle whoever may be there at the moment. Instead, she calls out shyly. ]
...hello?
no subject
She's not unobservant though and so has seen the new room and placard. As such she's not caught off guard by the unfamiliar footsteps and voice. She lowers the blade she's cleaning, smiling over at the hatch. ]
Elize, isn't it?
no subject
[ Being the only newcomer of the ship and the only one having a personnel room with a convenient placard makes her easily identifiable. She remains by the hatch, refusing to rudely step further into the room. ]
I'm sorry... I don't know your name. I hope I'm not bothering you.

Maker's breath. Is all of that really necessary?

Doesn't it always make you feel better when you can wrap your hands around the hilt of a firm blade?

When caught in the kitchen, it's easy to notice the notepad on the dining table with what look like... poems? The trash is kind of full of crumpled up papers, as well. They seem to focus on the idea of getting out of here, or setting something right and family. It's all a bit jumbled without the context.
But, hey, who can resist the lure of delicious smells whenever Chris succeeds in making bread or eggs or something actually made of food? ]
