See. I'm used to being whisked away to other universes, but usually there's a point to it. Saving the world tree or helping in a war or whatevs, big ticket things that would actually merit prying open a wormhole and plucking us from all over to help. Not... for intergalactic reality shows. Are you kidding me? This [ she waves both hands at her surroundings ] cannot actually be what they want from us.

[ She is incredibly displeased, she was told she was going home and the Marsiva definitely is not home. It's an unwanted detour. ] If anyone does know what they want from us, feel free to speak up! Or outerspace big brother could speak up! Outerspace!!

[ Claudia settles down with a huff, and picks up the beautifully crafted elven guitar she was allowed to keep from her time in Asgard. That's something, at least. The feed cuts off but anyone on the Marsiva will hear her playing from against the wall on the hospitality deck. ]

Government agent? Man, they're just hiring younger and younger these days.

[ She leans forward to see the guitar, mouth dropping open just slightly. ]

Now I'm jealous. That thing is gorgeous.

I'm kind of a special case. And so's this baby.

[ As unhappy as she is that her tech was confiscated, she's grateful that whoever Atroma the Abducter is let her keep her elven guitar. It was definitely her most prized possession in Asgard. ]

[ That gets a small laugh and she's still just inspecting it over the not-terribly-great video feed. ]

You got lucky there. I've been under the impression we're pretty much meant to fend for ourselves here.

Yeeeeeah, they took all of my everything else. This is the least useful thing they could have left me with, but I guess watching me play might be "entertaining." And I'm glad I have it, I have to admit.

What everything else did you have? I mean, a guitar is kind of stretching the carry-on luggage rule.

Last I remember, I had a ton of inventions on me. I can try to rebuild some of it but they also took my toolkit.

You build things?

[artifacetious]

I built things. Whatever the situation calls for.

Somehow I don't think you mean in the carpentry sense.

[artifacetious]

Nah, higher tech. Think electronics and mechanical. I'm the computer guru.

The tech! [ She grins. ] That's familiar. I'm sure you can find something to cannibalize here.

That's the plan! Once I get on a ship, anyway, there's nothing over here.

Well, I heard you can take apart the walls if you're really that desperate.

With my bare hands? Shoddy craftsmanship.

[interspace]

Or a laser cutter. But apparently someone else did manage to wedge one off or something. Worth a shot?

I don't even see any air vents in here.

Yeah, bit of a mystery, isn't it? There's nothing hidden in the ceiling, either.

As long as we keep breathing, I guess... but it's pretty weird. I don't get the setup of this place at all.

Does the ship not make any more sense than here?

[interspace]

Yeah, there's only so much you can blame on us being in space! [ Yes, she's doing jazzhands here. ] ... before you realize there's still shit wrong.

Um, I mean, it's definitely not as big or nice, but it has more reason in its design than the Marsiva did.

I wouldn't call the Marsiva nice, it's... clinical.

Clinical is still much nicer than... I think there's space-mice lurking in the vents.

Space-mice? How does that even happen? Maybe from something in a cargo bay...

[interspace]

I've got no idea. All I know is they're here, and they're annoying. Our cargo bay doesn't even really have anything in it but the shuttles.

Describe a space mouse for me.

Hell if I know. I haven't seen them clearly, just... scurrying and chittering and sounds in the vents.
