[It takes a few minutes of fiddling with the device before she finally manages to get it on to a video feed.]

What a strange device. [Right. That's not why she's here.]

It occurs to me that I have no idea where it is I am. I was in Skyhold and then I woke up...here. It is unlike anyplace I have ever seen and while that is fascinating I would appreciate knowing more about it. They have moved me to one of the ships now, though it is unlike any ship I have ever seen before.

[Look, she's asking before killing people for information! Progress!]

So if you could oblige me with answers soon, I would appreciate it.

[And then she smiles in a way that's a little too practiced before fumbling with the device more and then finally shutting it off.]

[He recognises her. It takes him a moment to place her, she'd been sent by the Divine, when the mage and templar problems had started to escalate. What was her name again?]

...Sister Nightingale? [She gave another name, but it escapes him. ]

[One of Hawke's friends. She remembers meeting him -- very briefly.]

You are part of the Drift Fleet. It is rather...a lot to explain, but this is not Thedas any more, nor anywhere even remotely near it, in fact.

[Maker, that's even without opening the can of worms that is the multiple versions of their world. He'll leave that one to Cullen, he's explained that more times than he ever wanted to already. ]

And there is no way for us to get back to Thedas, I assume?

They occasionally bore of someone, and they vanish, presumably back to their home worlds. But we do not appear to have a choice in such things, no.

[Is that a sigh of relief and maybe a smile? Likely.]

Leliana. I had a feeling it'd only be a matter of time.

Commander. I trust you've been here long, then?

Months. [Enough to get comfortable, though he certainly fought it at first.] I know you want your answers, and I'll be happy to provide. But what I first need to know is what you last remember happening at Skyhold. To our Inquisitor.

[Whoever that may be.]

She defeated Corypheus and finally sealed the breach, we had been celebrating our victory.

[That aligns with Cassandra, at least. He ignores her question.]

[As he feared. Maker, he really doesn't like this timeline and universe nonsense.]

I see. Then it seems I have a fair amount of explaining to do.

Then explain away. [She has no idea what she's in for.]

[It's little wonder that Felix happens across her soon enough. The ship is rather small, after all, and feels far too empty despite the fact that it's only suffered a net loss of one. The discovery of his missing crewmates wears on him to the point that he seems rather distracted even when faced with a new person.]

I hope I'm not interrupting.

[She shakes her head a little]

Well then, let me be the first to welcome you aboard, such as it is.

[He offers her his hand along with a thin smile. He's trying to be polite, but some of his usual effort can't be applied to playing the part of a good host]

[As Leliana ends her network message, Wanda approaches her. She had heard the familiar little fanfare noise, and decided to come see who would be the newest crew member to join the Starstruck.]

I may be able to answer some of your questions.

I would appreciate that. [There's even a small, more genuine smile at the offer.]

My name is Wanda. I only just arrived here a little while ago myself, but I can at least try and answer your questions based off what I have found out.

[One day, Kairi is going to compose a guide or something for the newcomers. It would likely be easier on everyone involved.

Anyway, this newcomer seems a lot calmer than most are, so that's a plus. It made the awkward explanation about how they've just gotten kidnapped a tad easier.]

You're... part of a fleet of spaceships flying through some part of space. We don't know where or why, but apparently we're on a reality TV show. Which means we're being watched.

....What is a TV show? How exactly are they watching us? A spelled object? One of these devices?

[How to explain this...]

I guess it's something you don't have where you're from? It's kind of like... do you have theater where you're from? Plays that people perform? A TV show is like that, but the TV is a device that allows you to watch those performances from almost anywhere at any time.

As to how they're watching us, I really don't know. I'd like to know that myself, honestly. These devices would be my first guess.

Leliana. [She smiles, but although it is genuine, it is also thin and somewhat tired.] I am beginning to think there will be no one left in Thedas at this rate.
