SS Golden Mingle!

Who: The crew of the SS Golden
Broadcast: Nope
Action: SS Golden
When: 6/10 to 6/30

[With the exciting lights and sounds of the casino behind them, things seem to have really wound down for the fleet. With very little to do outside of the ship, what better way to try and stave off cabin fever than by socializing with one's fellow crew members? Compare casino winnings, swap stories about anything the other mysterious planet they left behind, or maybe just stare out the window together at the passing space debris. The choice is yours!]

[It's been a few days since a certain network post and radio silence from the posters, and Megaman returns from a visit to the Starstruck with an armful of notes and preoccupied thoughts. He's still not even entirely sure if he's up to this, honestly, but--somebody ought to give it a shot, right? It's a perfectly good idea. Good ideas shouldn't go to waste. Even if the people originally behind it really are gone, now...

But still, it'd be awfully difficult all by himself.

So he stashes the notes in the engineer's office, and takes a moment to go back through his comm, checking up on that same post again, noting the other replies he hadn't quite paid attention to before. And what he finds there is what eventually brings him to the pilot's quarters, a bit tentative (he hasn't introduced himself properly yet, come to think of it) but putting on a polite smile all the same as he sticks his head in through the doorway.]

Hello, excuse me! You're Misha, right? I was-- [--Oh, hold on, she's speaking to someone else.

...Who doesn't seem to be there?

Megaman comes up short at the door, blinking a bit as he tries to pin down who Misha could have been speaking with in this otherwise empty room--but fortunately, his manners manage to catch up to him just in time, and he steps back sheepishly.]

O-Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to uh...interrupt anything...?

[ Misha doesn't seem to mind, judging on her reaction. Megaman's own proactivity in gathering the notes is only a half-step ahead of Misha who's been considering the same. Disseminating the discoveries is the best way to assure it's not lost should anything happen or someone disappears. Not to mention, sharing it among everyone is the eventual idea, anyway.

She simply pauses when he pokes his head in, tilting to the side to try and get a better view of him. It's just a kid, she knows, but that isn't enough to judge anyone by and she's simply not had the presence of mind to really talk to all her crewmates yet. This is killing two birds with one stone. ]

You're not. He can wait. Unless he's suddenly too impatient to wait, in which case, too bad for him.

[ There's a slight pause while ALFRED answers in her ear. His polite peevishness is entirely artificial but her own frustrations about the reduced capabilities have rubbed off in a rather noticeable way. ]

Whoa, whoa. No need to go all Skynet. You can hold, ALRFRED, you won't explode. Anyway, you're—Megaman, right?

[Well, the relatively unperturbed reaction is definitely a good sign at the least. That gets Megaman sliding the rest of the way through the door, if not a bit carefully, still being sure to keep a polite distance at the doorstep until he's sure he's invited. Just a kid, for certain, though he always keeps the frame uniform on and maybe that's a bit more unusual--to some, with the helmet and gloves combined, the impression of a child's superhero action figure might have been the first thing to come to mind. (Dr. Hikari certainly had a child-friendly color scheme in mind when he'd first set about designing this particular program.)]

Ah, yeah, that's me! It's nice to meet you, properly...sorry I haven't introduced myself sooner. But yes, I guess I'm the resident engineer here--so, if you ever need anything fixed, you know... [He gestures vaguely--and then pauses, taking another curious glance around the room. His original reason for stopping by is still fresh enough in his head, sure, but it's terribly difficult to address that first when another even more recent mystery is still begging for attention here. And so, after an apparent brief bit of inner struggle:] Er--Alfred? Is that who you're talking to...? I mean, I'm sorry for interrupting him, but...I don't remember anybody new named Alfred on the crew register?
