[On the Hospitality Deck, there's a little lump of dirt and fur on the floor next to one of the cots, twisted up in the white sheets. Bran had woken up in a fit of panic, scrabbling for the damp floor of the Queenscrown holdfast, and then-]

Is anyone there? Hello?

[A bump on his head aches from the tumble. He doesn't understand what he's seeing in front of him, through the clear glass of the bowing windows. It makes him dizzy, and he rubs at his nose with one grubby hand. His fur cape is still muddy from the thunderstorm, making him look a bit like an abandoned puppy.]

I need some help!

[He tries to use the cot to pull himself back up, but with a click the wheel unlocks, and sends the bed teetering towards anyone coming across the floor. Oops...]

Yeah, it's kind of weird. It'll probably make more sense once you're off that ship and assigned to your regular one.

Oh, good -- so you're not alone over there. That's good. [ She seems relieved. Especially for someone so young, it has to be kinda scary waking up like that ... so she's glad there's at least others there with him ]

Assigned? I'm not going to stay on the Marsiva?

[It isn't that he particularly likes this place (at all), but it's where he entered this world, and where he feels he would most likely find an exit, were he able to.]

No, by the end of the week you'll be put on a regular ship that's a part of the fleet, and then you'll be a part of a crew.

Do you know what your job will be?

[He's still trying to process all that, when her question triggers a thought that he's pretty sure wasn't his own.]

Maintenance. I'm... maintenance?

[ino]

Ah, that'll be very handy, then! We can always use more people to help with maintenance.

[ She sure is taking all of this in stride. Sorry Bran. ]

[Something itchy and uncomfortable in the back of his brain tells him otherwise.]

I've never even seen a ship.

The people who brought us here also give us the knowledge on how to do the job you're assigned. Kinda creepy, but I guess it's pretty helpful.

Jason Todd told me about that, that they cut your head open and put... something in. How does it work?

[ino]

A chip. That's right. It connects to your brain and adds things to what you already know, I guess is the easiest way to put it.

It also helps everyone understand each other's languages and stuff like that.

We're not all speaking the Common Tongue?

[That explains why these people who had never heard of Westeros knew his language...]

We're speaking the languages we know. The chip is what's translating it into something you can understand.

[ Insert whatever name they call it by in Naruto. I have no idea. But whatever it is, she totally just told him the name of it.

She gets out a little pad of paper, and writes her name on it in Japanese to show him ]

I've never seen letters like that, in Westeros.

[ Westeros. That sounds vaguely familiar, though she can't place why ... ]

Well, that's because we're from different countries, most likely different worlds altogether. The people here can come from anywhere -- places and times you couldn't even imagine existing.

Do you think... is it possible for someone else to come from mine? Does that ever happen?

Oh! Of course. There are plenty of people here who have friends or family from home with them.

[summerschild]

What if... what if someone was dead?

[She said it can take people from throughout time, and he's still stuck on that.]

[ino]

[ She takes on a bit more serious tone ]

Yes, people who are dead can come back to life here, as if they never died in the first place.

That's good.

[He lets himself imagine, just for a second, the possibility of seeing his family again.]

I'm glad.

[ She smiles fondly into the camera, wondering who it is this boy might have lost that he would like to see again.

... She can't help but think he and Hiro might be good friends, too ... ]

I'm Ino, by the way. It's nice to meet you.

[Bran smiles back the best he can. He likes this girl alright. She makes him miss Sansa.]

I'm Bran.

Bran, huh?

Well, it's not exactly where most of us wanted to end up, but we make do. There are a couple of other boys your age you'll probably get along with, too.

It's short for Brandon. Brandon Stark.

[Bran still says his last name with a trace of lorldly pride, though he's been trying his best to be cautious with it.]

... Boys my age?

[He's not had the best experiences with those since his accident.]

[ That name sounds familiar. And not because of Tony, so she could unfortunately never forget thanks to all the weird stuff he got up to in Paradisa. Because of someone else ... ]

I could've sworn I saw someone else with that name somewhere.
