[The video opens up to show what sure is a red-skinned guy in a skin-tight blue suit with a bright yellow jewel on his forehead. Someone isn't going for subtlety with his look. When he speaks, it's with a cultured voice and a light British accent.]

Good evening. For those of you I have not yet met, my name is the Vision and yes, this is my normal appearance. I am an engineer aboard the SS Windrose. Like many of you I have been exploring the derelict ship and I believe it is possible to cleanse it of the fungal infection using a process known as vacuum sterilization. Essentially this means moving the air to one half the ship and opening airlocks on the other half, allowing anything not securely bolted to be swept into space - including infectious spores. We would then close the doors, filter the air, move it to the disinfected side and repeat the process. Once it is clean, we may investigate further without fear of infection to ourselves and determine if the ship is capable of being used by us, either for our own purposes or to return to its original owners.

[His expression softens to one of sorrow.] However, in order to be fully confident this cleansing would be effective, it would be necessary to release the infected bodies of the fallen life-forms into space as well. They were once fully sapient individuals, before the infection took hold, and such an action should not be undertaken lightly. Is this a course of action the Fleet would support? If there are any of you who are conversant in such things, would you consider holding a funeral or memorial ceremony for those who have been our enemies?

[Hugs are still a little unusual for him, but he does reach out to give her shoulder a light, friendly squeeze, and he keeps the bright smile. He names the date he was last on Earth.]

Tony Stark had decided to return to his own business, and Thor departed back for Asgard. You and I were just beginning training exercises with War Machine and the Falcon under Captain America and the Black Widow.

[Wanda is a bit surprised by this news. Not so much the news pertaining to Stark or Thor, but the information pertaining specifically to her. Could it be...]

Training exercises? Under Captain America and Agent Romanov? Am I- did they... allow me to stay an Avenger?

Yes, and we're glad to have you on the team. [And before she can think too much about the implications of who he hadn't mentioned, he changes the subject. Not because he won't tell her, but because she's probably still a little in shock from what he has said.]

I am on the SS Windrose. May I ask where you have been assigned?

[Wanda is still a little taken aback from this news. She seems both confused, but also somewhat noticeably hopeful. She was an Avenger. They had allowed her to stay with them... did this mean that they had been willing to forgive her? The thought brings a small, warm smile to Wanda's face.]

I was assigned to the SS Starstruck as a Tactical Support officer.

[They certainly did--or, at least, SHIELD did, whether or not all individual members of the team felt the same way. Judging by the general friendliness the Vision is displaying, he's certainly one of the ones who counts her as a friend and ally.]

That's good to hear. It seems to be easy to move and visit between ships, and I'd like to visit you from time to time if you do not mind. I'm glad there's at least someone who knows me.

[Visions request serves as a bit of a snap back to reality, and a warm grin appears on her face as the initial surprise from the forwardness of his question fades.]

I suppose if you would like to visit, then it is all right with me. Though I do not think my ship will look all too different from yours?

[It was somewhat weird for her to think about how much she initially distrusted The Vision. He had been, or at least was intended to be, a new body for Ultron, but now... seeing and conversing with him like this... it was like being with an old friend. She did, after all, owe him her life.]

If the design is standard, they probably do look alike. I have yet to verify this, however.

[He smiles a little. Aside from an uncorrupted version of his original directive, there's really very little left in him of Ultron - and yet he still counts the misguided AI as one of his creators, for he certainly wouldn't exist without Ultron's actions. And there's a part of him that knows if she does have doubts, she can always read his intentions. He has nothing to hide.]

[Wanda just lets out a sigh of mock exasperation, crossing her arms as her face takes on a more bemused expression.]

So you merely want to see if our ships look the same? And here I was thinking that you wanted to catch up with me.

[Wanda's not sure if Vision will catch the joking intention of her words; nonetheless, she was curious to see how he would respond to her teasing.]

[He blinks, clearly caught off guard. But she doesn't seem really angry with him.]

I'll admit to curiosity about both, actually. As a friend, you have priority, of course.

[Wanda stifles a giggle as Vision's reaction was exactly what she had imagined it would be. Instead, her smile grows a little wider, belying the hidden laughter within.]

I have priority? Well, I suppose I should be grateful then.

[He's still working on how to human. It can be more difficult than people who've had their whole lives to practice ever realize.]

I am afraid no one else even recognizes me. It's good to know there's someone who can vouch for me - I realize my appearance does prompt certain questions.

[Wanda suddenly becomes very aware of just how peculiar looking Vision is exactly. After all, he was a maroon, metallic looking man that still had a biological look to him. The synthesis between metal and flesh did make for a rather... boisterous appearance. Wanda's expression becomes a little more serious and sympathetic to Vision's predicament.]

Have you been getting questioned by other fleet members?

[The question is fairly blunt, but it comes more from a place of concern rather than callous curiosity.]

[He nods; there's a reason he started out his broadcast with "yes I really look like this all the time", if phrased more diplomatically.]

I suppose even in this very diverse crew, I am still unique. Even so, it is simple enough to explain once they pass the original shock.

[Wanda seems to look a little sadder, more sympathetic towards Vision. It must be hard to be as "unique" as he is. Though, perhaps that is why he had seemed genuinely pleased to see her. She knew it too. The comfort that a familiar face, especially one that recognizes you, can bring.]

I am sorry. That must have been... hard.

It is something I have come to expect.

[And really? He prefers to have an outward symbol of his differences. He has enough control over his own appearance that he could disguise himself as a normal (if well-built) human without too much difficulty, but--

The truth is, he likes hovering. And if a strange appearance means people think second thoughts before they try to force their opinions on him, all to the better. With that in mind?]

I do not mind overmuch.

[Vision's clear nonchalance brings a grin back to Wanda's face. For all his perplexity, there was something truly warm and engaging about Vision's aloof nature.]

I am glad. I have had my own difficulties in explaining my abilities.

[She looks down at her hands, which she holds palms up. She even looks a little past her hands at the bandage wrapped snugly around her leg.]

[Had she been in a fight because of her abilities? He hopes not, but he frowns.]

Is there trouble I may be able to help with?

[She shakes her head.]

No. It is... taken care of now. Though it seems I could have used that training you mentioned before.

I'm glad to hear that. Are you more confident with your control now?

[Because that's the most logical explanation for that bandage right there.]

[Wanda's expression shudders for a moment. A look of pain and frustration flashes on her face. Vision has hit a bit of a sore spot at the moment.]

Not as much as I was before.

[Ah, so he's probing in the right direction, then.]

Is it a matter of not having enough time to practice? I would be happy to help you, if you like.

[It wasn't so much time, as it was... well, laziness she supposed. Although she'd been practicing more fervently when she first arrived, she'd allowed herself to slip in her diligence. That was coupled by the fact that well, she wasn't sure what direction she should be moving in with her training. Previously, her powers had largely manifested on their own, and it had been about control. Now, she certainly felt more control, but there didn't seem to be anything new developing out of her abilities. But now that Vision was here, perhaps it was time to get back to her training.]

You would train me?

It would be my pleasure.

[Which is perfectly true, but he also feels it is something of a responsibility. The Mind Stone gave her those powers. If he can help her to use them effectively and with good intent, it will have been a good use of its power.]

[Wanda gives a smile, courteous nod of her head and a smile.]

Then I will take you up on that offer.

[If there was anyone who could help Wanda further her abilities, it was undoubtedly The Vision.]

Excellent. [He offers his hand] Shall we begin by investigating this ship?
