002 - Take your protein pills and put your helmet on ; video

Who: Clay Terran and all of YOU!
Broadcast: Fleetwide
Action: SS Vanquish, bridge
When: 6/29, afternoon

[When the video comes on, Clay's looking at it with a big, excited grin on his face that seems to only increase in wattage once he realizes it's on. He sits back on his heels then, arms wrapped around his knees, though they probably won't stay like that for long.]

I haven't been here very long, but I've still met so many people with such cool powers! [And, indeed, he begins to gesture and lean forward as he describes each power.] Super strength, fighting with magic cards, reality bending, and flight! I never even knew those kinds of things were possible outside of comic books and tv shows!

[He rocks back again, arms winding around his knees once more as he seems to calm just a bit.]

So tell me about your powers. What are they like? Is it natural to you, or do you... I don't know, have to call on something in order to make it happen? And for you people who don't have powers, like me, what kind do you wish you had? [And the thought of it just makes him move once more, arms out and gesturing.] If I could have powers, I'd have flight, the ability to breathe anywhere I wanted, and super durability. Or maybe - maybe adaptability? That way I could go into space any time I wanted without getting into a heavy suit!

[... Aaand calm again.] So, yeah. Powers? I really want to know. It's of astronomical importance.

Everyone of my world can learn to use magic, so I would not consider it a power...

... But I can understand animals. [ That one he does consider a bit weird. Oh well. ]

Mostly I am asked for food. ... Although, it is mostly cats that request that. [ And that's usually why cats hang around humans anyway, so! ]

It.. depends on what sort of animal. Food, as already mentioned. Rhybgaro.. ah, horses? Those would occasionally comment on seasonal weather changes, and if they should start moving for better food, while wolves would speak of the same sort of thing, but based on the movements or amount of other animals in the area.

I am one of those from a world where strange creatures roam about outside of cities. They are a mammals that have hooves, a horn on their face, and a tufted tail, that eat plant matter. Usually come in browns, although occasionally gold, or white.

... I had never heard of a horse prior to leaving.

The horn of rhybgaro goes down the face. Perhaps it is like a face plating, that continues down in a particularly beak-like nose, as well as swept back in a smoother horn past the ears? Quietta are the domesticated kind. They lack the face plating past the eyes, but retain the sweeping horns.

[ .. Unicorns? ]

Uniceros look vaguely similar - a white and pale blue furred, with a golden forward horn and a great deal bigger... wing like swept back horns. EX Unicorns look completely different.

[ Monsters are weird on his world, okay. ]

[ .. Like what? Duke swaps over to video and any faint smile is not imagination. ]

Would you mind repeating that? I didn't quite catch it.

[ Duke tilts his head slightly. Okay, that doesn't match with his. ]

As I had said, the uniceros - and thus the rhybgaro - have horns going this way.. [ He indicates from the top of his head down to about his nose.

Obviously, it would be longer on a longer face - like a horse-like creatures.
]

EX Unicorns have ... [ With both hands, he indicates slightly curled horns from above the temple. They curve up past eye level, then back down to about nose level, further from his face.

Duke blinks and remembers he has a book with pictures.
]

... On the other hand, EX Unicorns don't look like quietta, rhybgaro, or uniceros.

They are scaled, blue-black and cream, for one. Fairly sure they're not herbivores, as where they're found doesn't have much greenery. Small red talons, usually, instead of hooves.
