[When the video comes on, Clay's looking at it with a big, excited grin on his face that seems to only increase in wattage once he realizes it's on. He sits back on his heels then, arms wrapped around his knees, though they probably won't stay like that for long.]

I haven't been here very long, but I've still met so many people with such cool powers! [And, indeed, he begins to gesture and lean forward as he describes each power.] Super strength, fighting with magic cards, reality bending, and flight! I never even knew those kinds of things were possible outside of comic books and tv shows!

[He rocks back again, arms winding around his knees once more as he seems to calm just a bit.]

So tell me about your powers. What are they like? Is it natural to you, or do you... I don't know, have to call on something in order to make it happen? And for you people who don't have powers, like me, what kind do you wish you had? [And the thought of it just makes him move once more, arms out and gesturing.] If I could have powers, I'd have flight, the ability to breathe anywhere I wanted, and super durability. Or maybe - maybe adaptability? That way I could go into space any time I wanted without getting into a heavy suit!

[... Aaand calm again.] So, yeah. Powers? I really want to know. It's of astronomical importance.

[And he laughs again, because he pretty much had the same reaction when he first heard about it. But dreams are dreams! And Clay became just as passionate about Apollo reaching it as Apollo himself was.]

Well, when we were in middle school, a really famous attorney was making the headlines, and Apollo started to want to be like him. He looked up all the old cases he handled and, after we became friends, he'd talk to me about them all the time. [His smile turns a little more fond now.] He said that the attorney wanted to let his clients know that they weren't alone, that they had someone on their side in their darkest moments. That's what really inspired him, I think.

... Huh. I think I can understand it, when you put it like that.

So, you like space, huh?

[geonomy]

[And he LIGHTS UP LIKE THE SUN]

I love it! You know how being an attorney was my best friend's dream? Well, becoming an astronaut and going to space was mine! [He takes a glance around at the surroundings.] I kind of feel like this is cheating, but I still made it out here!

Then we're both cheating at our dreams. Weird how that doesn't make it any less awesome, right?

Heh. Not one bit. I just wish I could tell my friend... [Well anyway,] What about your dream? Are you a space guy too, or...?

I wanted to be an engineer. Specifically with robotics. Working on a spaceship? Kiiiind of one of the tops in that department.

[geonomy]

Engineer? Wow, so you've got a pretty big brain up there, eh? I took some engineering in college to see if I wanted to go for Aerospace or Aeronautical engineering, and it was pretty fun, but I decided to go for good old astronomy. I have a lot of respect for anyone who makes engineering their passion!

I like to think I've got some good ideas up here. You should see some of the stuff I've done on the Bishop! About half the ships in the fleet, I've worked on.

[geonomy]

You did? Dude! You've got to show me. This is of great astronomical importance too. [Also maybe ask him to work on Vanquish too HMMMM]

Yeah, the fleet got attacked back in April. We were seriously hurting for engineers back then, and even most of the ones we had weren't far past the basics their chip gave them, so I was running a lot of repairs.

Also, you're totally invited to the Bishop whenever you feel like coming over, dude.
