[When the video comes on, Clay's looking at it with a big, excited grin on his face that seems to only increase in wattage once he realizes it's on. He sits back on his heels then, arms wrapped around his knees, though they probably won't stay like that for long.]

I haven't been here very long, but I've still met so many people with such cool powers! [And, indeed, he begins to gesture and lean forward as he describes each power.] Super strength, fighting with magic cards, reality bending, and flight! I never even knew those kinds of things were possible outside of comic books and tv shows!

[He rocks back again, arms winding around his knees once more as he seems to calm just a bit.]

So tell me about your powers. What are they like? Is it natural to you, or do you... I don't know, have to call on something in order to make it happen? And for you people who don't have powers, like me, what kind do you wish you had? [And the thought of it just makes him move once more, arms out and gesturing.] If I could have powers, I'd have flight, the ability to breathe anywhere I wanted, and super durability. Or maybe - maybe adaptability? That way I could go into space any time I wanted without getting into a heavy suit!

[... Aaand calm again.] So, yeah. Powers? I really want to know. It's of astronomical importance.

You mean, like superheroes and things from movies? [The fact that they're literally in a tv show right now is going to occur to him a bit later, maybe. BEAR WITH HIM HERE THERE'S ONLY COMPUTER WIZARDRY WHERE HE'S FROM.....what is this superpower business] I don't think I've met anyone here like that yet, as far as I know! But I guess we are out in space...it only makes sense that people from other planets might be able to do crazy things. Man, it's still a lot to think about though (･o･;)

I don't really have any powers! I just equip things my Operator gives me, so I guess it's more like picking up weapons than anything. If I could do things without having to equip them, though, that really would be pretty useful! Being able to fly anytime you want...I don't think I'd mind that too. So easy to get to high places!

Being able to use any weapon your Operator gives you is cool, though! I haven't even touched a weapon ever. What kinds do you get to use?

Yeah, for sure! [will he resist the urge...he probably should......BUT--] If you ever wanted to take a vacation you'd just be able to do it in a breeze! v(´▽`v)

What kinds of weapons, though? Ah, pretty much anything! Or at least, I don't think there's any battle chip I've ever been incompatible with before? But usually my Operator only has so many...he likes swords a lot! And projectiles for range too, like cannons and things. And bombs, or things kind of like bombs, and shields...there's a yo-yo chip too!

[Clay has to laugh at that one, both out of joy and humor, because it can be so hard to find people who actually appreciate his puns and respond in kind.]

Wow... so you can pretty much do anything if you've got the battle chip for it! Even, uh, yo-yo? What if you got a chip that wasn't for battle, would that work? Like flying powers!

[FINALLY A KINDRED SOUL it's true he knows this struggle too...Lan hates puns with a passion, so he hasn't been able to practice for awhile!! But to finally find a fellow connoisseur...!]

But yes, pretty much! I mean--the yo-yo has blades on it, so it's actually a really good weapon, it deals damage going out and coming back! [No he's not pretty fond of the Yo-Yo chip series at all what are you talking about.......anyway--] That's a good question, though...there are a few chips out there that don't have to be for battle. Maybe a flying one could be done!

Actually, the closest might be the Salamndr chip...you can fly for a little bit with that! But you're on fire too, and that one's still for battle. In fact it was such a strong chip that they don't sell them in normal chip shops anymore! It's kind of a shame...

Wow. And here I thought chip stores wouldn't sell them due to -putting you on fire- more than it being strong. Still, you think maybe someone here could make them if they knew how to do it, or is it only the Operator who can give you those chips?

Well, the fire part isn't so bad! The user of the chip doesn't feel it, it's just sort of warm...but it definitely packs a punch. It probably isn't very safe in inexperienced hands...

Someone here making a battle chip, though? [woah hold up there--] I've...never thought about that before! I don't know. Maybe? It's a form of antivirus, I mean...do you think we might have a really good programmer somewhere around here?

It's a bit inconvenient, though, I've never been quite this defenseless before! It feels weird. I mean, I do still have my mega buster, [--ah he'd probably better explain] it's an arm cannon! But whoever brought me here has tampered with it, I think...

It's a sort of weapon that's not for everybody, for sure. It does make you look like you're ready for any kind of fight! And you might end up as somebody else's cannon fodder, if you're not careful...
