[When the video comes on, Clay's looking at it with a big, excited grin on his face that seems to only increase in wattage once he realizes it's on. He sits back on his heels then, arms wrapped around his knees, though they probably won't stay like that for long.]

I haven't been here very long, but I've still met so many people with such cool powers! [And, indeed, he begins to gesture and lean forward as he describes each power.] Super strength, fighting with magic cards, reality bending, and flight! I never even knew those kinds of things were possible outside of comic books and tv shows!

[He rocks back again, arms winding around his knees once more as he seems to calm just a bit.]

So tell me about your powers. What are they like? Is it natural to you, or do you... I don't know, have to call on something in order to make it happen? And for you people who don't have powers, like me, what kind do you wish you had? [And the thought of it just makes him move once more, arms out and gesturing.] If I could have powers, I'd have flight, the ability to breathe anywhere I wanted, and super durability. Or maybe - maybe adaptability? That way I could go into space any time I wanted without getting into a heavy suit!

[... Aaand calm again.] So, yeah. Powers? I really want to know. It's of astronomical importance.

[He holds up his left hand, which is currently gloved and with a sleeve over it]

My arm can turn into a weapon, if I wish. I guess you could say it's my special ability?

[Looks like a perfectly unassuming gloved hand to him, and it makes him absently hold up his hand and curl his fingers a little. Huuuh...]

So, in a way, your arm can shape-shift? [AWESOME.]

That's...one way to put it, yes.

[EEEEEE.] Dude, that's so cool! Is it like - Can it - Like any weapon you want? Not just a cannon but - but other things too?

Well, not just anything, but it does have other forms yes. The most common is a claw.

Oooh, like... [He swipes his hand at the air, fingers spread into claw-like shapes.] That? Or... [Now he puts his fingers together and bends them to make something like a single claw, and swipes at the air again.] This?

[ He laughs a little at that impersonation. But instead of trying to do it too, he'll just activate his claws (except all the fingers are claws) ]

[And Clay leans back from the camera, not in fear, but in surprise and awe. He wasn't quite expecting that, and wow, wow. That's awesome!]

That's... really, really cool! Cosmically cool! [He leans in again, eyes all lit up with excitement.] So you just think of something and it becomes that? Or do you shape it somehow? I always try to wrap my head around stuff like this, but - Wow.

[he grins, making sure to keep his claws well in view of the feed]

Thank you! [Hellz yeah my claws are cool] It's hard to explain...it's like both my mind and the weapon itself that decide the form. It's connected to me, so it responds to my thoughts and feelings. But it also has a bit of it's own will- in a way. And the more I can connect to it, the stronger the form gets.

[Clay leans in with his hand on his chin, intrigued by all of this. Explained that way, it's pretty easy to wrap his head around it, though he doesn't have much to compare it to.]

I get it. It's sort of like a separate entity on its own, but it's still a part of you, right? A lot of people who handle swords and stuff like that talk about their own weapons like that. Connecting to it - is that like... the more your and its will align with each other?

[Oh hey, he did get it! Allen's relieved to hear Clay's response, since seriously it's hard describing things you really don't think all that much about- like eating or sleeping]

[Okay that's a lie he always thinks about eating.]

Mm! That's exactly it! You're pretty quick, Clay!

[Clay gives a pretty proud grin at that; one has to be quick and able to understand things like this when your major field of study has to do with one of the biggest mysteries the universe has to offer: the universe itself.]

Ha! Awesome, thanks! Still, that's a pretty neat thing to have. Are the claws your favorite, or does it take on other forms you're fond of? [The claws are the most common, so he figures that one's the best. But who knows?]

My favourite? [Hmmmm] I've never really thought about it before.

[He mulls it over for a moment]

I suppose they're the easiest for me to use, since I've had them the longest. Though the most useful would probably be the ribbons, or the armour. Claws are only really good for....well, cutting.

Dude, you've got to show me those face to face sometime. You've got to!

[He laughs]

Alright. My augment seems to be limiting my power a little- but I can at least show you the claws and ribbons!
