It seems to have happened to Elize. She's in good hands, but... I felt I should let people know, in case this isn't just happening to her alone.

Are you from the same world as Miss Elize?

No. I met her when she arrived here. [He thinks about how long ago that was. Months, only. It feels like she's been under his care for years--in a good way.] There's no one else here from her world.

Depends on the day. Demons, dragons, renegade templars, furious mages, assassins, bandits...

Restore peace. It's a complicated job, more than that, but that's the basic idea.

Well, at least you get to travel. We don't have mages where I'm from, just people with bigger sticks.

Guns, you mean. [He assumes, anyway.]

[ Wryly, ] Well, them too. Honestly I wish it was that simple.
