4th light - private video to the Blue Fish crew

[The Blue Fish crew might be surprised to find a private message from Kairi waiting for them on their communicators.

Ever since Allen had told them about his Noah a few months back, Kairi had been debating telling them her own secret. Well, one of them, anyway. There was the issue of Naminé, but she wasn't even sure how to broach that subject. For now, she would have to let that topic lie, and instead focus on her other secret.

Truth be told, she's not sure if this will even be an issue. They're seemingly so far away from the worlds she ever knew about, it's possible that the laws that governed them didn't apply out here. But it wasn't a chance she wanted to take. If Allen could open up to them about his Noah, then she certainly could tell them about this.

It didn't make her any less nervous, though.]

Hey everyone. Um... there's something I should tell you guys. It's nothing bad, per se, but it's... well, it does tend to attract trouble. Hopefully not here! [She laughed nervously, pushing her hair back.] I... think we're far away enough from where I'm from that it shouldn't be an issue, but... just in case..

Okay. [Deep breath.] Where I'm from, there are two forces that sort of govern everything. Light and Darkness. They're opposites, but one cannot exist without the other. Darkness isn't necessarily evil, but it does tend to lend itself to it. It's a very corrupting influence if you're not careful. The Light is generally a force of good, but not usually as powerful as Darkness. You... I think you get the idea.

In most people's hearts, there is both Light and Darkness. How much varies per each person. Those who are corrupt and yearn for power tend to have more Darkness than Light. The Darkness can corrupt a person's heart, turn them to evil, but there's always a little bit of Light in there that won't go out. As long as you're still human, at least. [There were Heartless and Nobodies and whatnot, but she wasn't going to go into that now.] Anyway...

[And here comes the hard part.] There is an exception to that. Seven exceptions, to be exact. There are seven girls who have hearts of pure Light, not one bit of Darkness in them. They're called the Princesses of Heart. If you put all seven of them together and release the power within their hearts, they can open the door to the heart of all worlds. I guess there's supposed to be untold wisdom and power in that heart, but that's just legend. Likely something no one should ever find out. [Though Maleficent had come damn close, averted barely by Sora's interference.]

I'm... one of those seven. [She releases a shaky breath.] I don't think it poses a danger, especially since the others aren't here. But that much Light does tend to attract Darkness. It can also repel it, though. I guess it depends on how it's used? I don't know. I only learned about this a year ago and not in the best way. Given how I don't think the laws about Light and Darkness even apply out here, it may be a non-issue. I wanted you guys to know, though. Just in case. Riku and Axel also know about this, so if something were to come up and I wasn't ... they'd be able to help.

That's everything, I guess. I'd appreciate it if you guys kept this quiet, just to be on the safe side. If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer. [She moves to turn off the communicator, but pauses and suddenly frowns.] Oh, and no, I am not royalty. [Probably.] So no "your highness" jokes out of any of you.

[Of course, as Kairi doesn't know any of this, she takes this as disapproval or worry or anger. Something not good, anyway. Her eyes widen in slight panic, worried now that Allen might be upset with her, for hiding this for so long or being what she is.]

I... I'm sorry, Allen. If it's a problem, I can talk to Sokka. Maybe transfer ships if that's what everyone wants.

There's a legend among Exorcists, of an Innocence- er, a piece of light so strong we call it "The Heart". It's supposed to be very powerful and could possibly end the war if it's found.

...I just didn't anticipate hearing a similar story out here.

Like Katara, she's the only waterbender from the south pole, and she's pretty much the best at it. [Record this moment, Toph's complimenting people.] I am the best earthbender ever, and I invented a whole new bending art. Plus, Aang's the Avatar, who can bend all the elements, and there's this cycle of reincarnation and stuff. Seriously, he's been girls before.

[Pause.] Oh, and Sokka's here, too.

[Another pause!] Thanks for dinner last night, by the way.

It's not... it was mostly as warning. It's attracted trouble in the past, the really, really bad kind. Almost ended the worlds and Sora - [Kind of sort of almost but kind of actually diedish. He got better.] Well, enough bad stuff that I don't want you guys caught off guard if trouble comes looking again.

I knew Katara could manipulate water, but I didn't know about your doing that with earth. Or even about Aang.

[...you know, she's not sure if she wants to touch the whole "Aang was a girl" thing. She's really not sure.]

[She raises an eyebrow at him.]

I don't know about spirity mumbo jumbo. I'm not a spirit, it's just... my heart is little different. [Despite the apparent confusion, his heart seems to be in the right place. It usually is and for that, she's grateful.]

[ katara takes a moment to sort of absorb all of this, to try to understand the implications, what it might all mean - so there's a pause before her answer, but she's smiling softly when she delivers it. ]

[Aang listens carefully to the whole transmission. All that talk of light and darkness didn't sound too foreign to him. It kind of reminded him of how energy-bending worked, and how he had almost been corrupted when taking Ozai's bending away. He wonders if being a Princess of Heart is a little like having an unbendable spirit.

Ultimately, he responds to her message with a soft smile.]

Thank you for telling us all of that, and for trusting us, Kairi. I promise I'll keep your secret safe. And if there's any danger, I'll look after you, too.

[Then his smile turns more wry.]

And I guess I'll just have to think of different jokes to use on you instead!

[She hadn't known Aang that long, or Toph for that matter, but they had both reassured her... in their own ways. It meant so much to her, knowing the whole crew - friends and acquaintances alike - would help.]
