[Toph quickly stomps a bare foot on the metal flooring of the ship before tilting her head back towards the kitchen.] Over there, just entering the kitchen now, actually.

[She just grins and waves a hand in front of her face.] It's how I see. I'm an earthbender-- I control rocks and earth-- and I feel vibrations with my feet to get a picture of things. A couple years ago, I invented metalbending, so I can do the same with that.

Everyone has a different feel to them, how they walk, whatever. It comes in handy.

That's amazing. I get what you mean--you can tell, sort of. [ he has a different kind of 'vision'. ] Do different kinds of earth make it hard to 'see'?

Yeah, and like... clay, or--crystal? [ he supposes maybe it'd be easier to see with crystal...? ]

I used to have an issue with sand, but I mastered sandbending a while ago. I can't imagine clay or crystal would be a problem at all. [Toph shrugs.] I can bend mud-- clay's close enough.

[She blinks, then appears sort of expectant.] What's your name, anyway?

Sorry--I'm Riku. I've never heard of earthbending or people seeing differently before, so it's pretty cool.

Pilot? [ he tilts his head, but doesn't look worried or very concerned. like he probably should be. ] D'you use radar?

It was already outfitted for me when I got here. I get feelings like I do normally, just more... [She circles a finger around the ceiling above her.] all over.

Hm. I guess that makes things a lot easier for you. [ he can't help but smile. ] Kind of cool--it's like the ships can adapt to anyone on the ship, no matter who they are.

Well, you'd probably crash a lot. [ snrk. ] I guess you could use a built-in radar, though.
